After I Amazed the World the Cold Alpha Regretted -
AFTER I AMAZED 95
Chapter 95
Sarcia's lips curled into a mocking smile.
"And what of it?"
1 offer you a duel," I said firmly, "dare you say yes?"
Whispers erupted from the onlookers outside as passersby exchanged shocked looks.
A formal duel between two werewolves of different packs is a serious and rare event, usually only with the consent of both Alphas as well as their guardians. Sorcia raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued but not yet convinced.
"I hear your wolf has only just been willing to show up on your side. And you dare to challenge me this way?" She laughed, her voice sharp and mocking.
Fine, I accept. But if we're going to do this, there needs to be a wager."
I knew this was coming, and I braced myself for her next words.
"If you lose," Sorcia said with a predatory smile, "you're going to end your relationship with Alpha Leo and get the hell out of Silvermoon immediately. It's a disgrace that a stupid she-wolf like you can be Luna." The surrounding passersby were dumbfounded, anger flashed in some of their eyes, but no one dared to stand up to her.
Everyone looked at me expectantly, waiting for a response.
I nodded, facing her challenge head on. "Fine. But if you lose, you have to apologize to Emma and everyone you've ever bullied one by one. And then, no more appearances in front of us." Sorcia's smirk faltered, replaced by a look of fury. "You can't possibly win," she hissed.
"We'll see," I replied coolly.

Later that evening, I slid into the passenger seat of Leo's car.
He was already there, his expression tense as he gripped the steering wheel.
The atmosphere between us was thick with unspoken words.
"I heard about your challenge today," Leo said, his voice low and strained.
"You shouldn't have risked our relationship like that. You know how dangerous Sorcia can be."
I turned to him, my expression calm.
"Leo, don't forget we were going to get divorced. This bet means nothing to me."
His eyes flashed with frustration, and for a moment, he was silent.
The tension between us grew, heavy and uncomfortable.
After a while, he spoke again, his voice softer this time.
"You've changed, Elizabeth. You're becoming more and more distant, harder to understand."
I let out a bitter laugh, looking out the window at the passing scenery.
"Yes, I've changed a lot. But so have you."
Leo was quiet for a long moment before he finally asked, "What do I have to do to make things right between us? To make you forgive me?" 15:36

I turned my head, letting silence speak for me as I stared out the window, my thoughts drifting.
Leo waited, expecting an answer, but I couldn't give him one.
My gaze lost its intensity, and I focused on the world outside, a blur of fading light and distant trees.
In truth, I'd considered forgiving him many times.
We had shared tender moments, and there were times when I felt my heart softening.
But every time, Andrew's cold demeanor, Aria's snide remarks, and Sorcia's constant meddling would remind me why I had to protect myself.
I had learned the hard way that holding on too tightly could lead to heartbreak.
wasn't the same woman who once believed that my world would end if Leo left.
I had changed, grown stronger.
The sky no longer seemed like it would collapse if our relationship did.
This distance, this occasional intimacy we shared now, was comfortable, not consuming.
It gave me a sense of freedom I had never experienced before.
I glanced at Leo, who seemed deep in thought.
A small, mischievous smile crept onto my face as I asked, "What, do you think I'll lose?"
"Of course not," he replied with a hint of frustration, shaking his head.
"You can't lose." After a pause, he sighed and seemed to accept the reality that I had agreed to a duel. "In the meantime, you'll move back to the villa and I'll create a training program for you. In seven days, you'll be ready to win." I agreed to Leo's suggestion for the sake of winning the duel.
We had just returned to the PACK when the maid approached us with a smile on her face, looking very excited.
"You're finally back together," she said excitedly, "and guess who else...."
Before
could respond, a familiar figure stepped out from behind her.
It was Narik.
The moment Leo and Narik's eyes met, the atmosphere grew tense, a subtle undercurrent of rivalry filling the space.
Leo was the first to break the silence.
He walked up to Narik, forcing a smile as they embraced briefly.
"Welcome back," he said, his voice strained.
