She hears screams all around her, she could smell the metallic scent ofblood thick in the air. Chills run up and down her whole body, shetentatively takes a small step forward only to halt in her steps when herfeet unknowingly steps on a solid but firm thing. Is that..is that a hand?She slowly crouches down and bring her trembling hands forward...onlyto come in contact with a person's face, she screams as she realises thatit's a dead body.

She startles awake from her sleep, sitting upright on her bed, as shetakes deep breaths in, she could feel a thin layer of sweat on herforehead and wetness present on the side of her eyes.

She realises that it was just a nightmare and that it was not real, but itsure felt like it, she felt scared of what nightmare she would have againif she slept so decides to walk around, it sounded stupid as it is themiddle of the night but at a time like this she would do anything toforget about that day.

feeling her hands around the nightstand she tries to locate her waterbottle but she comes up empty, sighing in annoyance rememberingthat she had forgot to take it with her after filling it up in the kitchen.Standing up from her seated position, she decides to pick it up fromthe kitchen since her throat felt like a sandpaper.

As she reaches the kitchen, she quickly locates her water bottle. Pickingit up almost immediately, she unscrew the cap and brings it up to herlips. Since she was in a hurry to quench her thirst she failed to notice apresence behind her until their front was completely pressed upto herbehind, making her completely aware of their presence.

Hands circle around her waist in a tighthold, but not enough to crushher. She's immediately engulfed with the scent of vanilla andimmediately realise who it is. why does it has to be always him?.Adryan couldn't sleep when all he could hear were was her fast heartbeats, he could hear her move around in her room. His curiosity rosewhen he heard her leave her room. What was she going to do so late atnight?!

"You shouldn't be out here alone at night,

la mia gemma" his husky voice sounds near her ear, she could feel hisheavy breathing on the back of her neck which made goosebumps toform on her body, standing straight with anticipation

"Why? It's not like a beast resides here" she couldn't resist asking himthe reason behind his words. what is going to happen if she comesdown at this time of the night? It's not like she was outside the packhouse or out in the wild or anything. (Translation: my gem)

Trailing a hand up her sides slowly making a shiver to run down herspine, he moves the strands of hair away from her shoulder, she feelsthe cold air hit the side of her bare neck. making her heartbeat rise inanticipation and excitement.

She feels a soft feathery touch on her neck almost making her moanoutloud, he just kissed her on her most sensitive spot. The skin betweenher neck and shoulder, where his mark should've been. His lips felt sosoft on her skin making her wish that she could feel them on her lips.One of his hands trails down towards her bare thighs, she had decidedto wear a baggy t-shirt and cotton shorts on, which barely covered herlegs but the t-shirt did it's work.

Now though, she regretted not wearing a sweatpant. She could feelherself getting excited, she has never felt something like this her wholelife. His hands slowly rub themselves softy on her skin, making her sighis pleasure and lean her head on his shoulder.

"Maybe the beast does reside inside, you never know" he whispers nearher ear, once again being successful in sending a shiver down her spine.She spend most of the day holed up in her room, doing nothing. If shewasn't doing anything then her mind would wander back to herinteraction with Adryan, which is something she didn't want if shewanted her sanity to stay intact.

She was going out of her mind due to boredom. So she decided thatshould help the omega's with preparing the lunch for the pack, sinceshe loved cooking and had already learned every nook and cranny ofthe pack house with Violet's guidance ofcourse, she could easilymanuever her way through the kitchen.

She leaves her bedroom and takes cautious steps while moving downthe staircase, the last thing she wanted to do is break a leg or her spinalcord.

She sighs in pleasure when she smelt the aroma of all the spices in theair, and she knew that was in the right place, the pack kitchen. Sheslowly moves towards the direction from where the aroma was coming,she could feel a presence infront of her, she immediately switches hereyes to that of her wolf's. Even herwolf's eyesight wasn't clear, it washazy. She could make out the outline of certain objects and the color ofit, which mostly appears blurred to her.

She never used her wolf's eyes much before, since she didn't want torely on her wolf all her life and she has been also told by her parentsthat her eyes glowed green whenever she used her wolf's vision. Shecould feel the power surging through her as she used her wolf's eye,she replaces a girl who seemed like she looked about the age of nineteen,with brunette hair and blue eyes. She switches her vision back tonormal within a timespan of few seconds.

She slowly moves towards the brunette haired girl, hoping she wouldassist her on what she could help them with.

"Umm...hi, my name is Jade. I was wondering if I could help you guyswith cooking the lunch for the pack members today?" She asks herhesitantly waiting for the brunettes reply.

"Oh, hey there Jade! I'm Malia and you must be the ro-" Malia clearsher throat in between her words,"Alpha’s guest he talked about theother day about that at the meeting. I really don't want to trouble youwith the work, and we're almost finished with the main course-" Maliasays.

"Perfect, then I can help you with the Dessert?” Jade instantly saysinterrupting Malia's nervous rant with a hopeful tone of voice.

"I- but the Al, I- um.." Malia sounded like she was conflicted and Jadealmost lost hope, but she might have seen the crestfallen look on Jade'sface causing her to immediately switches her answer.

"SURE" She chokes out and Jadr instanlty hugs her in happiness."Thankyou so much Malia" Jade smiles at her.

"Geez, don't ever show me that face again. I felt like I kicked a cute littlepuppy which sounds like it would hurt me more than the puppy itself."She says which causes Jade to laugh at her choice of words.

Jade takes a few step towards the side only to collide with anotherbody, a familiar flowery scent invades her nostrils.

She need to stop walking into others literally, she think to myself."Watch where you're going you blind bitch”

A voice snaps at Jade.
