Alpha Dominic -
Chapter 156
Dominic's POV
"I asked for a fair fight, Ash. Is this your definition of a fair fight?" I asked sarcastically when king Ashfords generals dragged me out of the dungeon and threw me into the ring that was at the center of the crowd. I don't know how they managed to do all this in just a short while, but they did it and it looks quite good. There was a large space in the middle for king Ashford and I to fight freely. His warriors stood around the ring, ready to strike me down if the combat is in my favor. But that is not the only reason why I'm being sarcastic with him. I'm being this way because I can see that king Ashford is still scared of me, he is trying so hard to make it difficult for me to defeat him. His body armor is more sophisticated than the ones his warriors are wearing and he is packing a lot of sharp blades on his sides, he isn't even trying to hide the fact that this combat is rigged in his favor. He smirks at me as I approach his location with my hands handcuffed in front.
"Don't even try too hard, it's practically impossible to break through those cuffs because it has been laced with wolfsbane." He let out mockingly when he saw me trying to break out of the cuffs. I felt the sting from the cuffs and I knew immediately that he was saying the truth. He has made it practically impossible for me to win this duel, he actually thinks that I care about who wins or losses this war. If only he knows that my plans are still going exactly as I want. He thinks he can predict my every movement, he thinks he has me figured out, but he has no idea what is coming to him. He has no f*****g idea.
"What are you thinking about, dear friend?
Are you waiting for a signal from your men, are you stalling to buy time for your generals?" he asked me with a smug smile, mocking me with his words, trying to distract me so he can take me unaware and stab me in the back when I'm not looking. But I'm not falling for it, I won't let him distract me, and I'm not losing my focus on the battlefield.
"Are you going to fight me, or do you plan to talk me to death, Ash?
Don't tell me you are still scared of me, I'm the one wearing handcuffs, remember?" I asked him mockingly, trying to push his buttons. But he didn't budge, he only smirked at me, giving me that look that I know too well. He only acts this way when he wants to play his silly mind games with me. It seems like he is waiting for something or someone and it's scaring me a bit because I know how crazy he can be.
"Oh, No, Dom. This is not going to be a duel like you requested, I'm not going to fight you, Dom. I'm going to beat you, I'll crush your resolve to go against me. I thought you have learned your lessons already, I thought your girlfriend made it pretty clear to you that you have lost this war. But you seem resilient, you think you still stand a chance against me, but you're wrong Dom, you can't win this fight, you can never win this war." He let out mockingly.
I heard some noise in the crowd, I was forced to turn around to see where the noise is coming from. My jaw dropped in shock when I spotted Bethany being dragged to the front of the crowd along with Lorenzo, Carl, Harriet, Dwayne, and Tyler. I was too stunned to say a word, I couldn't think straight, the only thing that came to my mind is that I have been betrayed. Declan betrayed me, he did not send his boys to get them out as he promised, or maybe he did send them, they could have been caught along the way. I don't know what happens and I don't know what to think anymore. I could see the look on Bethany's face, I noticed the tears dripping down her cheeks and I realized that she is not under his control anymore. Something must have happened after I was dragged away from that room, maybe Ashford decided to give her the cure to his love potion. I don't know what he did or why he did it, but the fact that he had brought her here could only mean that he has something up his sleeves. He wants to play one of his silly mind games with me, but I won't let him string me along, Nah, not this time.
My hands were still cuffed so I couldn't throw a punch at him. With a mighty growl, I threw myself at him, hurling my body at him, tackling him to the floor. I was able to land a few punches to his face before he kicks me off. He was on me in a second, he howled in triumph as he punched me continuously, cracking a few bones on my jaw. I kicked him off my body, but before I could get up on my feet, I felt a sharp pain in my back that caused me to let out a painful howl. Just like I thought, he had stabbed me in the back and the blade he used is laced with wolfsbane. I could feel the poison traveling thoroughly veins, circulating through my body. I knew without being told that he had used the yellow wolfsbane, the most dangerous poison for an Alpha. If I don't act fast, the poison would circulate faster and weaken my whole body, I can't let that happen. I threw myself at him once more, then I pulled out one of his blades and I stabbed him in the lower abdomen, causing him to howl in pain. I used that opportunity to pull out another one of his blades and this time, I stabbed it through his heart, and he let out a mighty howl, rolling out of my arms reach, beckoning to his boys to come to his rescue.
They were on me in a few seconds, they tackled me to the floor and landed several punches on me, making me bleed through my mouth and my nose. I wasn't healing because of the wolfsbane, they took it as an opportunity to beat the crap out of me, breaking a few of my ribs. From the corner of my eyes, I can see them injecting king Ashford with a potion and I knew that they were administering the cure to him, flushing out the wolfsbane from his body. The poison, coupled with the beating made me as weak as hell, I still tried to get up, but I got knocked down by his warriors. The more I struggled to get up, the more I got beaten up by the lycan warriors. They forced me to stay down while they helped king Ashford to get back on his feet. He stood up for a few minutes, looking as good as new. The two blades I stabbed him could have taken him out If he wasn't using black magic to protect himself. But I can't kill him no matter what I do.
"I warned you, Dom. I warned you not to mess with me, but you didn't listen to me. Now you are going to watch my claim and mark your woman. Then you'll watch me kill all your friends right in front of you. You'll stay alive long enough to watch me kill every werewolf that lives on this earth and after I wipe them all out of existence, I'll then kill you slowly and painfully. You can never kill me, Dominic Rayleigh. I am the one true king, you don't stand a chance against me, you never did. And now I'm going to make you fear me, watch as I claim what rightfully belongs to you, watch me mark your mate." He let out mockingly as he walked towards the crowd, walking to where Bethany sat with Lorenzo and my generals. He ordered his guards to hold my head up, forcing me to look at what he is about to do.
"Ash, please don't do this," I pleaded once more, making one last attempt to stand up, but they hit me hard on the head, forcing me to stay down. He grabbed Bethany by the hair, holding her hair in a tight grip, ignoring her cries for mercy. He kept his eyes on me as he let his canines out, smiling evilly as his venom dripped on his canines. He brought his head down slowly, watching me all the while as he brought his canines down to Bethany's neck, stopping when he got to her marking spot. She tried to wiggle out of his grip, she elbowed him in the crunch and tried to get away, but he didn't budge, it only earned her a hot slap to her cheeks that turned her head the other way, making her yelp in pain.
He positioned her the way he wanted her to be and he brought his canines down to her marking spot and this time he didn't want any more time, he brought his canines down very hard, he pierced her skin, and he sank his canines deep into her making spot. The next outcome is not what he had imagined, I never even imagined this outcome too. There was lightening from the sky, and it flung him to the middle, right beside me, knocking down some of the warriors and generals that were holding me down. He just committed an abomination, he placed his mark on a lady that has already been marked, he wants to claim another man's mate and it is an abomination. That is why the moon goddess struck him with lightning, making him as weak as a vegetable. I wanted to use this as an opportunity to kill him, I was crawling toward him as fast as I could, but I could go any faster because of the wolfsbane in my body system. His guards were on me before I could get anywhere near him and they pinned me to the floor as he staggered to his feet and came rushing towards me, punching me hard on the face, "You f*****g bastard!
Why didn't I know that you placed your mark on the b***h already?" he yelled in anger and frustration, hitting me weakly because the lightning had struck him pretty badly. I can see the scars on his body, but he was beginning to heal quickly and his healing would have been complete if something unexpected didn't happen. He was focused on taking his anger out on me, punching me as hard as he can. He did not see someone sneaking up behind him, he did not notice that the crowd was getting more as more lycans showed up and took his warriors unaware. He was stabbed in the back, just like he did to me. The sword went through his spinal cord and came out through his chest. He bleed through his lips and he turned slowly to see who had stabbed him in the back. Although from the look on his face, I'm guessing that he already knows who it is because there is only one person that can deal such a fatal blow to him.
"D... D... Declan..." he stammered out in shock as he felt the pain from the sword and wolf's bane.
"Hello, Father. Did you miss me?" Declan asked mockingly. Ashford was petrified. He tried to beckon on his warriors and generals, but they all abandoned him because they are terribly outnumbered, besides, this matter is supposed to be between father and son. When he saw that help wasn't forthcoming, he turned to his son and pleaded for mercy, pleading to his good heart.
"P... please son... please don't kill me... please forgive me, I didn't know what came over me," he pleaded pathetically, making his son scoff and chuckle evilly. "Forgive you, huh?
For many years, I had to pretend to be an invalid imbecile so my own father wouldn't kill me. I watch you screw my woman in front of my mother and I watched you kill our people for your own selfish reasons." He spat out in disgust, pulling out the sword from his father's chest angrily, making him bleed even more.
"You are a monster father and every monster deserves nothing but death!" he yelled angrily as he swung his sword backward and brought it down on his father's neck, cutting off his head in one swift move. Just like that, King Ashfords head rolled on the floor, making everyone so excited that we all screamed out loudly in joy. He spat on his father's body as he picked up his severed head and held it up for everyone to see.
"This same fate awaits anyone who dares to oppose king Dominic and I," he warned them fiercely, forcing them into submission. King Ashford had made the mistake of trying to lay claim on my woman and that mistake had weakened him long enough for his son to kill him.
