Chapter 107

Liviana’s POV

It’s been a whole week since I woke up.

For the past week, I’ve been being constantly checked by doctors.

I also have a physical therapist come every morning and night to do therapy on me.

Luckily, I’ve stopped using a wheelchair to get around.

Unfortunately, Rainer still doesn’t leave my side.

I’ve also spent a lot of time with Luke.

He sleeps with me in my new room instead of his.

We both refused to sleep without each other.

Rainer also refused to sleep anywhere else so I requested a sofa bed in my room so he can sleep in it comfortably.

I got out of the shower in my robe and made my way to the walk in closet.

I caught a glimpse of Rainer and Luke as they were looking out the balcony of my room.

I got in the closet and picked out a pair of clothes to wear.

There was a ton of clothes in here that could last me a lifetime.

Rainer said that the queen picked them out for me herself.

Once I was dressed, I got out and started drying my hair with a blower.

Rainer and Luke turned to look at me.

“Mama” Luke immediately called out.

I smiled as I waved at him.

Rainer and Luke made their way to me and sat on an empty stool while I dried my hair.

“What do you want to do today?” Rainer asked me as Luke sat on his lap.

“Can you give me a tour of the palace premises?” I said.

“Sure thing. But I think we’ll need your wheelchair. It will be a long tour” he said.

I immediately shook my head.

“No. I can walk just fine” I said.

Rainer raised a brow at me.

I gave him a look.

We had a staring challenge for a moment until he finally sighed and gave up.

Ha! I win.

“Fine” he said in defeat.

I smiled in satisfaction.

“Are we taking Luke?” he asked.

I nodded.

Of course.

I want to spend time as much time as I can with my son.

“Okay. I’ll have Kaley prepare a bag for Luke” Rainer said.

I nodded.

I watched how Rainer played with Luke while I continued to get ready.

I found out not too long ago that Rainer is 6 years older than I am.

I’m 19 while he’s 25.

Rainer has been the head warrior ever since he turned 20 but he’s beem a warrior since he was 15.

Rainer’s father was the former head warrior before him and now, he is the head trainer.

I haven’t seen him yet because he’s a busy man.

I also found out that Rainer is mate less.

Rainer was rejected by his mate when he was 18 because the she-wolf couldn’t accept Rainer being a royal warrior.

Rainer picked his responsibility over his mate so she rejected him.

It somehow reminded me of Luan and I.

I had picked my responsibility as Alpha over Luan but Luan still insisted on making our relationship work.

And it did.

But now….

I shook the thought out of my head.

Here I was again.

I internally scolded myself.

After I got ready, Rainer, Luke and I headed out.

Kaley gave us Luke’s bag and I carried it in my back while and another helper gave Rainer another bag.

Rainer carried Luke in his arms because he refused to let me carry him the whole time.

“What’s that?” I asked curiously as we got out.

“This?” Rainer said as he raised the other bag.

I nodded.

“It’s our lunch. I figured you’d want to have lunch outside” he said.

I agreed.

I preferred eating outside where there’s sun and fresh air.

I didn’t want to be cooped up inside of the palace while I was recovering.

Rainer began to tour me in the palace premises.

Every corner of the territory felt so alive and vibrant unlike that of Lunar’s.

Rainer explained that it was my mother’s ‘touch’ for the place.

Rainer also told me how much my mother loved roaming around here and making things more lively.

That’s how she was.

After some time of walking, I saw cabins from a distance.

“Who lives there?” I asked Rainer.

“Royal warriors, guards and helpers with their families” he said.

I nodded.

I thought they resided in the palace as well.

I think that’s how it was for Lunar.

“The King and Queen agreed that they needed a separate place from the palace for a more friendly and healthy environment for them” Reiner explained.

I think it’s quite impressive.

My grandparents really care for the well being of their people.

Unlike someone from Lunar.

We made our way to the cabins and I immediately saw the people as they interacted with one another.

I took a closer step to Rainer as I looked down to hidw my face because I suddenly felt shy to see so many new faces at once in a new environment.

All that Alpha confidence I had must have disappeared from my body after the incident that day.

Everyone turned to look at us.

Rainer waved at them and they all smiled when they saw him.

“Captain! Long time no see!” one man said to Rainer.

“Long time no see. How are you all doing?” Rainer said politely.

“We’re doing good, Rainer. What have you been up to that you haven’t been coming here often?” a woman asked.

I immediately sensed that they were mates because of their scents.

“I’ve just been busy that’s all” Rainer told them.

Then, they turned to look at me.

“And who might this lady and child be?” another woman asked.

Rainer lightly nudged me.

Then, someone gasped.

“Oh my! Don’t tell us that this is your wife and child, Rainer. Are they?” the woman earlier said.

I immediately looked up at them.

“So that’s why you’ve been busy” another man said.

I immediately shook my hand in front of me in denial.

“Oh no. I’m not Rainer’s wife and he isn’t his child either” I denied.

I didn’t want them to misunderstand.

Everyone’s attention turned to look at me.

I saw how their eyes widened to see me.

“Princess Diana?” they muttered in shock.

I shook my head.

“You’re all mistaken. I’m not Princess Diana” I said.

They all looked at each other with a confused look on their faces.

“This is her majesty, Princess Liviana. She is Princess Diana’s daughter” Rainer voiced out.

Everyone gasped and I nudged Rainer.

“What?” he asked innocently with a chuckle.

I glared at him.

“Also, this is his majesty, Prince Luke. Princess Diana’s grandson and Prince Liviana’s son” Rainer announced.

I looked at him in shock.

“The King and Queen told me to tell everyone when they meet you guys” Rainer said with a shrug.

I sighed.

So that’s why.

It was an order from my grandparents.

“Oh my! The Princess and Prince” everyone realized as they bowed their heads to us.

Oh ghad.

I looked at Rainer for help but he only shrugged at me.

I huffed in frustration.

“At ease” I said using a light Alpha tone.

Everyone looked up at me as they stood before me.

I cleared my throat.

“I apologize for not introducing myself sooner” I started.

I shouldn’t be too nervous.

I’ve done this many times before as an Alpha.

Does it make much of a difference that I’m doing it now as a princess?

Maybe.

“My name is Liviana. I am Princess Diana’s daughter. I know it might seem confusing how the princess has a child after she had disappeared years ago. But I don’t think it’s my story to tell. All that I can assure you is I am indeed her daughter and his highness King Callisto and her highness Queen Selene’s granddaughter” I said.

Everyone’s eyes were on me.

“Now that I’m here, I will surely do my duties as Halo’s princess” I said as I lowered my head to the people.

There was a moment of silence.

I suddenly felt anxious.

“Welcome, your majesty” they suddenly said.

I looked up at them and saw them as they bowed their heads to me again.

I smiled.

After that, we stayed a while longer as we had a talk with the people there.

Luke even played with the children there.

“What a beautiful child” an elderly complimented my son.

I smiled proudly.

“Of course. I mean, look at her majesty, Princess Liviana. She’s a beauty herself. No wonder his majesty, Prince Luke is such a beautiful child” another elderly said.

We all chuckled as the others agreed.

I blushed.

I wasn’t the best at taking compliments so I didn’t exactly know what to say or do.

These people were very welcoming and I felt thankful for them.

Rainer held Luke up in a standing position.

I excused myself from the others as I made my way to them.

I crouched down not too far away from where Rainer and Luke were.

“Luke, baby! Mommy is here” I called out.

Rainer turned Luke around so that he’s facing me.

Luke excitedly stomped his feet as he giggled.

Rainer supported Luke as he started to walk towards me.

About halfway through, Rainer let Luke go.

My eyes widened when Luke continued to walk towards me on his own.

Oh my goddess.

Oh my ghad!

“Mama!” Luke said as he reached me.

I immediately held him in my arms.

His first steps!

Luke took his first steps on his own!

I hugged Luke proudly as everyone cheered and clapped for my son’s achievements.

“That’s my boy!” I said proudly as I brushed Luke’s nose with mine.

Luke giggled and I have him a k**s.

I stared at Luke with a proud smile on my face.

That’s our boy.
