Liviana’s POV

“Liviana”

I turned to look and saw the moon goddess coming my way.

“Moon goddess” I said and slightly bowed to her.

“How have you been, dear?” she asked.

“I’m doing just fine, moon goddess” I said.

The moon goddess smiled.

“I’m glad” she said.

The moon goddess looked at me for a moment.

“Happy 21st birthday, Liviana” she greeted me with a soft smile.

“I’m proud of the person you have become over the years” she told me.

I smiled.

“Thank you, moon goddess” I thanked her.

The moon goddess walked closer to me and stood in front of me.

Then, she placed her hand on the side of my face.

“I’m glad I chose you” she said and I saw how her eyes slightly teared up.

The moon goddess caressed my hair gently.

“You’ve bloomed to become a beautiful flower. Not yet fully bloomed but almost there” she said.

I smiled slightly.

“Thank you, moon goddess. For everything” I said.

The moon goddess smiled and she pulled me for a hug.

“Thank you, Liviana. You’ve worked hard to be where you are now. I’ve seen your struggles and your dedication” she said.

“Now, go. Go and spend your day with your loved one” she finally said.

Then, I woke up.

I turned to my side to hug Luke but he wasn’t beside me.

I immediately sat up as I looked around.

Luke wasn’t in the room.

“Rainer” I mind linked Rainer.

“You’re awake. Good morning” he replied immediately.

“Is Luke with you?” I asked through the link.

“Yeah. Luke is with me. He woke up extra early today. You can sleep more” he told me.

I sighed in relief.

That’s all I needed to know.

Luke is with Rainer so he’s safe.

That’s the only thing that matters.

“Okay. Thank you” I replied.

“You’re welcome” Rainer replied.

We cut the link.

I laid down on my bed once more as I stared at the ceiling.

I can’t believe that I’m already 21.

Never did I imagine myself being where I am right now.

Who would’ve thought that I’d become royalty?

Who would’ve thought that I’d be the chosen one?

And who would’ve thought that I’d be an actual mother?

I had always seen myself growing old as a single woman.

But here I am now.

I’m living in a palace where everyone looks up to me.

I still think about a man who I fell in love with before I almost lost my life.

And I’m a mother to a beautiful boy named Luke.

I’ve come so far.

But I’m still not done yet.

I still had a lot of things to do before I can consider my mission done.

Then, the door to my room opened and I peaked to see who it was.

“Mommy!” Luke greeted.

Luke had a bouquet of flowers in his hands as he made his way to me.

Rainer was following him with a tray of food in his hands.

Dillon was following them as well.

“Happy Birthday, Mommy! I love you!” Luke said as he climbed on the bed beside me.

Luke gave me the bouquet of flowers and gave me a k**s on the cheek.

I smiled.

“Thank you, baby. I love you” I said and squeezed Luke’s face then gave him a k**s.

Luke giggled.

“Breakfast in bed for the birthday girl” Luke said and placed the tray of food in front of me.

I looked at Rainer.

“Happy Birthday, Liviana” he greeted.

“Thank you, Rainer” I thanked with a smile.

“Anything for you, princess” Rainer said and planted a k**s on the top of my head.

I smiled.

“Come on. Have breakfast with mommy” I said to Luke and made him sit on my lap.

Luke nodded and we started eating my birthday breakfast together.

“Your party starts at 7. The people who are going to help you prepare for the party will come at 4” Rainer told me.

I nodded in understanding.

There’s going to be a party later in the evening.

It was a celebration of my 21st birthday.

I didn’t want anything grand but my grandparents insisted on it because it was a special year for a royalty like myself.

Being 21 means I can take over the throne.

It means I can finally lead Halo not just as a Princess.

But as Queen.

That’s why being 21 is such a big deal to my grandparents.

It is to me too.

I just wasn’t too fond with big parties.

But I guess I don’t have a choice now, do I?

“I’m going to bathe Luke then I’m going to shower afterwards. Can you take him out on the playground or do you have something to do?” I asked.

“It’s fine. I don’t have anything important to do” Rainer said with a shrug.

I chuckled.

“Let’s go, Luke. Let’s get you bathed” I said.

Luke nodded and I held his hand to the bathroom.

I bathed Luke and dressed him up nicely for the day.

“Such a handsome little boy” I said as I lightly pinched Luke’s cheeks.

“Mommy” Luke giggled.

I smiled and gave him a k**s on the cheek.

“Now go to uncle Rainer” I said.

Luke nodded and ran to Rainer.

“I’ll be out after I shower” I told Rainer.

Rainer nodded.

“Just take your time” he said.

I nodded.

Rainer and Luke left the room with Dillon amd I made my way to the bathroom.

I took a long shower to get me by the day.

Then, I got dressed into a white surplice neck wide leg jumpsuit paired with flat sandals.

I made my way out of the room and out of the palace as the people in the palace greeted me.

I reached outside and saw Luke playing with Rainer in the playground while Dillon chased after them.

I could even hear Luke’s laughs and giggles from here.

It was music to my ears.

A beautiful melody that I can listen to all day long.

“Hi, mommy!” Luke greeted when he saw me.

Then, he came running to me and I caught him in my arms then we spun around.

Luke giggled and laughed as he hugged me.

“Are you having fum with your uncle Rainer?” I asked.

Luke nodded.

“Uncle Rainer said he’d bring me with him to his work again tomorrow if I behave for the whole day today” he said excited.

I glanced at Rainer.

Rainer chuckled nervously and I just shook my head in disbelief.

“Is it okay if I go with uncle Rainer to his work tomorrow, mommy?” Luke asked with puppy eyes.

Not the puppy eyes.

I was weak when it came to that.

It was a trick.

My son uses it against me to get what he wants.

I sighed.

“Sure, baby. As long as you don’t cause any trouble” I said in defeat.

“Yey!” Luke cheered excitedly.

“Uncle Rainer, mommy said yes” Luke told Rainer.

Rainer nodded and ruffled Luke’s hair.

“That’s great, buddy. Now, all you have to do is behave, okay?” Rainer told him.

Luke nodded enthusiastically.

I smiled.

We went through the day.

I kept myself busy with Luke and every now and then, Rainer and I would talk about matters regarding Halo.

Then, the people who came to get me prepared for the party came.

I showered again quickly and they started to do their thing.

The last time I did this was during my princess coronation.

It’s been a while.

After hours of preparation, they finally finished.

Then, they helped me put on my gown.

It was a beautiful red a-line gown that hugged my waist perfectly.

It had a high slit and stunning rose details on its skirt.

“The final touch” a woman said.

My crown was placed on the top of my head for the final touch.

“You look stunning, your majesty” they said.

I smiled thankfully.

Then, the door to my room opened.

Rainer and Luke came in with Dillon beside them.

They were also already dressed for the occasion.

Rainer wore a black tuxedo with a few buttons of his inner shirt was opened. His hair was also neatly styled.

Luke wore a tuxedo as well and a little red bow. His hair was also styled neatly like Rainer’s.

Even Dillon had a red bow on him.

“Oh wow” Rainer said as he looked at me in awe.

I chuckled.

“Mommy, you look beautiful!” Luke complimented cheerfully as he hugged me by my skirt.

I smiled and carried him.

“Thank you, baby. You look very handsome as well” I said and gave him a k**s.

Luke smiled widely.

Rainer stared at us with a smile.

“Shall we go? Everyone is waiting for us” Rainer said.

I nodded and put down Luke.

Luke held my hand.

Rainer offered me his hand and I took it.

We all walked out together and made our way to ballroom where the party was being held.

“How are you feeling?” Rainer asked me.

“Fine. Should I be nervous?” I asked.

Rainer chuckled and shook his head.

“Of course not” he said with a smile.

I chuckled.

We reached the ballroom.

“Luke and I will go first” Rainer told me.

I nodded.

“Captain Rainer Black with his majesty, Prince Luke” their names were announced but Luke whispered something to Rainer.

Rainer chuckled and then said something to the man announcing their names.

The man nodded and cleared his throat.

“And sir Dillon of Halo” the man announced.

I chuckled.

Oh son.

Rainer entered with Luke and Dillon.

I smiled.

Then, I took a deep breath as I waited for my own entrance.

“Finally, her majesty, Princess Liviana White, the heiress of Halo”

Then, I made my way inside.
