ELEANOR

I raised my head, and I replace myself staring at the face of a dark, handsome, Herculean mancrouching right in front of me. He had jet black hair, a pair of sparkling turquoise green eyes with atint of amber that surrounded his pupils like a golden ring. I moved my eyes down to his imperiousnose, angular cheekbones then towards his strong, concrete jaw. He had a square jawline thatenhanced his masculinity and appeal most of all, making him appear tough and fierce as a warrioron the outside perspective.

I found myself examining his body. He wore a black slim fit tuxedo and a pair of black slacksmatching his black shoes that shone even under the dim light in the halls.

“Sorry,” I took his hand, and he helped me get back up until I was standing up on my two feet.“Does it hurt?” He looked at me concerned.

“No, it's fine" I said softly, smiling a little in a bid to avoid sounding so rude. I let go of his handslowly and gathered my bearings. I smoothed my hands down the crinkled part of my dress.

“I'm glad.” The man then flashed me a wide smile I couldn't seem to get out of my mind.

“By the way, my name is Ezekiel. What's yours?”

“Eleanor,” I said softly and straightened my back while making sure to keep a good distance fromhim as well.

“You have a beautiful name,” He commented.

“Thank you,” I nodded at him and smiled when I suddenly felt a pair of hands touch my arms softly.“I see you've met my sister-in-law, Ezekiel.”

Adrian's tall and large figure thereafter appeared from behind me, making my whole body freeze insurprise.

I watched as the light in Tyler's eyes slowly faded into a dark ominous glare.

“Adrian. What a surprise” He announced as he spoke in a clear, mocking tone, sneering at Adrianwho swiftly moved to my front. Blocking me from Ezekiel's view.

“I'll take it from here. Don't want to keep the alpha waiting.” Adrian said with gritted teeth.

I peered at Ezekiel over Adrian's broad shoulders.

His eyes lingered on my face as though he had something he wanted to say.

“Let's go,” Adrian snatched my hand and pulled me away from Ezekiel, who glared at the back ofAdrian's head but smiled when I looked back at him from afar.

"See you next time” He mouthed the words, and I nodded back at him, watching him disappear inthe dark as we walked further into the hall towards the powder room.

“Do not talk to him again.” Adrian said, his words firm and precise, almost sounding like an orderfrom an alpha he obviously is not.

I glanced at him, suddenly feeling a serious, suffocating aura swirling about Adrian who let go of myhand as soon as we reached the door.

“I'll wait here, and escort you back to the party safe.” He said, and I nodded quickly before enteringthe powder room in a rush.

The powder room sparkled in almost every corner, except for the dark stalls that meant it wasempty and available to use.

I then walked into one of those empty stalls to do my business and I was just about done when Iheard the other doors suddenly click open with a loud bang. The sound of toilets flushing echoed astwo people stormed outside the stalls. Their heels leaving loud, tapping sounds on the tiled floor.“Can you believe it Barbara? That bitch is actually mated to Alpha Alex. Hmph. Does he lack anytaste at all?" Paula's irritated voice echoed through the room. And the instant I recognized them, Ipressed my hand on the wall while the other covered my mouth just when I was about to let out agasp.

"Of all females in our pack, why her? Alpha Alex should be sucking up to a hot, sexy, gorgeousfucker like me, not an ugly, wolf-less freak Eleanor!" Barbara uttered with a grunt.

My hands coiled into fists. I gritted my teeth, trying to endure their insults I should've been used tofor so long.

Suddenly, I can feel an intense anger rising within me. Was it because they called me a wolf-lessfreak?

No. They called me that numerous times, but I didn't feel as enraged as how I'm feeling now. Whenshe mentioned his name, something snapped within me, awakening my wolf from her deep slumberas she began to grasp my burning emotions starting to consume me and my body, though I couldbarely stay human at all.

A growl threatened to arise from my throat and I forced it back down, gripping my mouth tighter inorder to not make any sound.

"So, what's the plan, Barb?"

I heard one of them pop her lips, followed by the sound of heels tapping outside my stall, gettingnearer as though she was going to my direction. I instantly lifted my feet off the ground, steppingmy feet on the toilet seat as I tried to lower the sound of my own breathing.

"Easy." Barbara chuckled.

"You'll know soon enough. Right now I need to replace a way to get Alpha Alex kneeling on my bed,begging to be fucked by no one but me.”

My eyes instantly widened in shock, her words fueling the burning rage inside of me in more waysthan she could ever imagine. I immediately landed my heels on the floor with a thud, not caringhow much my feet hurt when I suddenly stepped down from the toilet bowl, seething in bloodlustand intense anger that equally caused a burning heat to flush my entire body in one split second."That fucking bitch couldn't possible be a better--"

I kicked the door open, feeling my claws slowly descend from my nails when Barbara and Paulaabruptly turned their backs around towards me. Eyes widening in surprise as soon as our gazes met.I glared daggers at Barbara, especially her. Her eyes then dropped to my claws and looked up at mein confusion as well as disbelief.

"You... Why do you have claws?" Barbara furrowed her brows, looking straight at me while I triedsuppress my wolf forcefully trying to gain control over my body at once.

"Alex." His name was the only word I could utter as I was battling with my wolf to stay calm, andavoid losing total control just because of what Barbara said.

At that moment, Barbara's surprised face suddenly shifted into something else, forming a wide grin Iwanted nothing more but to wipe off her annoying face the next second.

"Alex is too good for a wolf-less freak like you. Did you ever once think he deserves to be withsomeone else?" She looked me up and down, flipping her hair gracefully and swaying her hips asshe glided one leg on the floor, showing off her smooth and thick thighs in front of me

"Someone like..me?" She smirked.

I couldn't help but laugh at her words.

"You? What are you Barbara? You're only the Gamma's daughter. And I am born with Alpha blood.My rank has always been above yours, and for too long I've let you torment me regardless. Did youforget?”

I took a step forward towards her, flipping my chocolate brown hair boldly, making her raise a browas she stared down at me considering the difference of our heights.

"You were the freak of the pack, too." My lips arched up into a smile, staring up and meeting hergaze head on.

Barbara's face turned bright red as she looked at me with glaring eyes full of hatred and scorn. Shethen raised her hand, about to slap me right across the face but I caught her wrist. My handabruptly twisted her wrist and she yelped out in pain whilst Paula screamed in her spot, probablyshocked to see me now fighting back to defend myself without anyone's help.

"Fucking bitch!" Barbara exclaimed despite being put in an awkward position. I smiled beforeharshly letting go of her wrist.

"Aah!"

The sudden, unexpected release sent her face slamming against the wall behind her. Barbaragrunted and slid down to the floor.

I stared down at her for the first time, not feeling any pity or remorse for what I have done to her,but rather a feeling of satisfaction washing over my body as I gave her a smirk. I turned on my heel,heading towards the exit door when she spoke, her words crystal to my ears.

"You and Sabrina are getting too full of yourselves just because you've left the pack, huh" Barbaraspat at me.

What she said got me turning back around to face her the next moment, and she glared at mehatefully as she leaned on the sink, trying to pick herself up from the floor with Paula lending herassistance.

"What did you say?"
