Roberts

I read the file that I was given but I was not prepared for what was standing in front of me.

I had watched her all day but when I got my first glimpse of her my breath got sucked out of me. She was beautiful, just the way she walked and laughed with her friends she seemed generally sweet towards everyone.

I noticed that one boy was always hovering around her she came to school with the one girl and boy but what I see is those two must be mates. When they reached the school grounds the other boy picked her up spinning her then they all turned to walk in but that boy placed his arm over her shoulder.

It's the same boy now that is staring me down as I stand her talking with her. I don't normally make contact with the targets before I pick them up but I just couldn't help myself. I had to talk to her I needed to be close to her.

I see her blush a little she is so shy and innocent that it made me want to throw her over my shoulder and leave out this dam mall.

I had to hold my groan when I held out my hand to her to shake after I introduced myself. When she placed her hand in mine saying her name I was so captive by her that I forgot I was to be working.

Just then I heard a low growl as she was pulled back her hand being ripped out of mine. The boy with her stepped in front of her his eyes turning black.

"I think you need to leave,"

I held my hands up to him.

"I meant no harm to your girlfriend,"

I say to him

"She's not my girlfriend, She is my Luna!"

He growled at me keeping her tucked behind him.

Hmmm, now that's interesting as Alpha Darrel said she was his mate.

"I'm sorry young man, I meant no disrespect to your Luna, May I know the pack that you belong to I will apologize to your Alpha for any disrespect,"

"My Alpha is Alpha Riens Blackwood, Of the Midnight Moon Pack,"

"I will be sure to send him my sincere apologies,"

I turn walking away so I don't draw too much attention to myself,

Just as I was leaving the food court my phone buzzed in my pocket pulling it out I see Alpha Darrel has messaged me.

I click it off I need to do some more checking but if she is the mate to Alpha Reins this will be more of a challenge than I originally thought. Plus I would love to keep her for myself. She is so sweet and beautiful dam she made something stir in me that hasn't in many years.

"Come on again! Watch the other person look for any weaknesses, They could do a movement as small as shifting their foot or taking a breath before they attack! you want to be ahead of them!"

I was leading the training lesson this afternoon Keaton was busy looking into that crazy Alphas pack.

I walked through the paired fighters giving out pointers where they needed them.

I wasn't wanting to do the class but I needed a distraction from the scouts that were camping outside Autumn's house my men said they haven't returned yet. Aunt Anna is handling all the preparation for Autumn's birthday party tonight. I was super nervous about how this will go but I know it was needed so I can protect her better.

"Alpha!" I hear someone call through the link.

"Yes, Keaton"

"Alpha I need to speak with you it's important it's about Autumn,"

, "Keaton What happens is she alright?"

"Yes Alpha, Oscar called they had an issue at the mall,"

"Alright, I'm on my way!"

"Everyone is dismissed!" I yell out while I take off towards the pack house.

Rushing through the backyard I busted through the door and the kitchen hearing Aunt Anna yelling at me I didn't stop I went start to my office.

Winging open my door making Keaton jump up out of his seat.

"Alpha!" He was in fighting stands due to my startling him.

"What happen!"

He took a few breaths to calm himself.

I walked closer to him.

"Oscar called they had taken Autumn to the mall to keep her busy, But they had a small run-in with this guy,"

"Who?" I growled out before he could finish.

"Oscar said he didn't know him, but he's a werewolf but he's not from around here and didn't have a smell as he belonged to a pack but he didn't smell like a rogue either,"

I scrunch my eyebrows up a bit.

"But Oscar said he just didn't like how he talked to Autumn,"

"He talked to her? And he said what exactly?"

"Well um, Oscar said that um he was.."

"Spit it out, Keaton!"

"He said he was flirting and that he held her hand," He quickly said while stepping back from me.

"He touched her! He dares to touch what is mine!"

I felt my blood boil I saw red my wolf was pushing forward. She is my mate no one touches her NO ONE! "Where are they!"

"They are still at the mall,"

I didn't wait any longer I spun on my heel leaving out the office and heading down to the front of the house.

I went straight to my truck got in it started it up ripped out the driveway sped down the roads whipping in and out of traffic, I didn't care about the speed limit.

I reached the mall in just a few minutes pulling into the parking lot I stopped right at the front doors.

Jumping out I rushed through the doors.

"Oscar! Where are you?" I yelled through the link.

"Alpha, we are still in the food court,"

"Stay there I'm on my way!"

"Alpha are you here in the mall?"

"Yes! now stay put!"

"Yes Alpha,"

I didn't take the elevator I took the stair going up two at a time.

Reaching the top I stopped long enough to scan the tables seeing them to the far left I started to move towards them.

Oscar was the first to see me his face paled I see Nick look over his shoulder as he got the same look. Standing Oscar steps around the table.

He went to say something but I held my hand up.

Autumn turns to see what he's looking at her eyes go wide as I stopped next to her she looks up at me I don't give her time to say anything and I say nothing.

I lean down scooping her up in my arm she lets out a scream I pull her right against my chest then turn walking out of the food area. I don't stop I walk straight to my truck put her in the jumping-in and take off.
