Reins

I knew it was a big step asking to Mark her I've been telling myself I need to go slow and let her adjust to all this she seems to be getting used to me more and more each day.

The thought of marking her is all I have thought about since our little make-out session in the hospital, But I don't want to push her.

She looked like a deer caught in the headlights dam it I knew it was too soon.

I see her worry fade away as she takes a breath.

"Before I answer would you explain more to me?"

"Yes, how about you ask me what you want to know, and ill answer it,"

"Okay, Umm will it hurt? Marking me that's kinda permanent, right? That means that we are like a couple?"

I chuckled a bit she spits those out really quickly.

"Well first, Yes it will hurt but only for a moment, It is permanent once you mark someone you can't take it back, lastly Yes it shows everyone that we are a couple as you say, but to us werewolves it shows you are claimed by me,"

She nods her head a little she is fidgeting with her fingers I could tell she wanted to ask something else.

She looks up at me but she seemed as if she couldn't form the words.

"Autumn, what is it?"

She hesitates for a moment.

"You want to be with me like that and permanently mark me and claim me?"

I could hear the doubt in her voice and see it on her face.

Cupping her face with one hand while holding the other I slide closer to her.

"I know this is all new for you, but what I feel for you is so strong, When we met our mate we mate for life you are all I want now and always, You're my world and I want to give you the world, So yes I want to permanently mark you and show to everyone your mine," She has a small smile on her face and I see a hint of pink show on her cheeks,

Leaning forward I place a soft tender kiss on her lips, I feel her tense up a bit but within seconds I feel her relax kissing me back.

Breaking the kiss I lean my forehead against hers.

"Yes," I lean back looking at her she looking straight at me.

"What?" I asked making sure I heard her right.

"I said Yes, you can mark me,"

"Are you sure? Autumn I don't want you to feel like I'm pressuring you,"

"It's okay your not, I know I'm still learning about a lot of this but I believe what you say about wanting me I feel it I'm not sure how to explain it but I feel it when you're close to me as well as your touch, but just remember I've never had a boyfriend so I have no idea what it means to be in a relationship with someone, No one has ever wanted to date the deaf broke girl," Holding her hands I lift them placing kisses on her knuckles.

"You have no idea how much it makes me happy to hear that I would be your first boyfriend, we can go at any pace you want even though I'll mark you we don't have to do anything else till your ready, and with marking you I will be able to replace you no matter what, plus we can mind linking each other,"

She scrunches her forehead at those last words.

"Really like what you do with Mr. Keaton?"

"Yes, you will be able to hear me in your head,"

I see the excitement in her eyes.

"Okay, so when do we do this?"

"Now if you want but just so you know you will be a little sleepy afterward,"

"Okay,"

"Why don't we talk with your parents first and let them know what we have decided on,"

She nods at me.

"Keaton," I call through the link.

"Alpha,"

"Can you please have Matt and Helen as well as Zach all come to my room,"

"Sure, Is there something wrong?"

"No just Autumn and I need to tell them something and I would rather do it in here,"

"Ah, Yes ill send them up right away Alpha,"

"Good, Also have Sophia start to plan for the ceremony tomorrow for the Collins to join the pack officially," "Yes Alpha,"

Cutting the link I look at her she smiles at me reaching up I brush some hair out of her face,

I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in," I call out.

The door opens and in walks her family I stand moving to sit next to Autumn I wrap her hand in mine.

They all bow a little but I can see worry on their faces.

"Alpha you asked us to come," Matt said which I'm surprised he is even asking because he's been in the hallway this whole time I'm sure he's heard what we were talking about, "Well, Autumn wanted to speak with you and tell you what we have decided,"

They all look o Autumn.

She gives me a side glance I nod my head a bit to her letting her know to go ahead.

Turning to her family.

"I've decided to let Reins Mark me,"

Watching her family's reaction I see her mom smiling from ear I ear she looks as if she is about to scream and pounce on Autumn out of excitement.

Her father and brother are a different story they look as if they are about to murder me.

"I'm sorry but did you say mark you?" It was Zach who asked,

Autumn nods her head, "Yes,"

He looks at his dad who has a very blank look on his face.

They both look at me I could feel the tension building.

"Are you out of your mind!" Her brother finally blurts out,

"Everyone will know she is claimed by an Alpha! He will replace her faster!"

I stand up not liking his disrespect.

I see her mother place a hand on his shoulder.

"Zach it's okay I'm sure your sister wouldn't make this choice easy but she is his mate and mates mark each other,"

"Yes but she is not just an ordinary wolf and there's a crazy person after her, people will talk about how the strongest Alpha claimed his mate it will put a target on her back!"

"Enough!" I growl out making the walls shake. "You think I would put her in harm's way! She is safer with me than on the run with you, She is my mate I would never allow anyone to take her away from me! So boy I think you need to check yourself and remember who you are speaking to!"

I see him step back lowering his eyes and baring his neck to me in submission,

"Yes Alpha, I'm sorry I didn't mean no disrespect but she is my sister I've always looked out for her and protected her,"

He says while glancing at her.

Letting my anger settle a bit.

"I know you all have spent your lives looking out for her protecting her at all cost, but remember you are now here in my pack she is my mate and it's now my job to protect her,

Before anyone could say any more Keaton came flying in through the door.

All of us turned to look at him.

He was breathing hard while standing holding the door handle in his hand.

"Alpha you need to come downstairs right away,"

"Keaton? What's going on?"

"Alpha Brett is here and says he has information for you on Roberts,"

"Stay with her,"

I point to her family while I take off out the door with Keaton on my heels.
