Reins

I stood there staring at the pictures spread out on the table, along with little pieces of paper that had writing on them. "Alpha, look," Keaton holds a paper out to me.

Taking the paper from him I saw it had the shift changes written on it.

"How did they get the times? Only the guards knew their shift change and who was switching with them?"

"Rachel, she must have gotten it from someone, we will deal with that after we replace autumn,"

"I'll have all this moved to the pack house," Keaton walks over grabs a bin starts putting everything off the table in it.

Walking to the other side of the room pulling open the draw to the small stand there was a black book in there grabbing it there were no words on the cover letting the pages flip quickly I saw it log of some sort, I was just about to toss it back when a paper fell out landing on the top of the stand. Picking up the paper my breath hitched.

"Keaton!"

He dropped what he was doing and was at my side.

"What is it Alpha,"

I handed him the paper he read it his eyes widening as he looked back at me.

"We need to get back to the pack house immediately,"

He nods his head handing me the paper back to me he goes over and in one arm swipe he pushes everything into the bin.

"Ready,"

We walk out to the vehicles.

My guards stood keeping Dan and his father there by the vehicles I didn't want them in the room in case we found something I didn't trust either of them.

Reaching the cars I walked to the one in front.

"Keaton let the guards take that Aloha Brett and his boy back you ride with me,"

"Yes, Alpha,"

"Wait, What about Lucy?"

Stopping I looked at the foolish boy.

"What about her?"

"I want to go back with her she needs to come back to the pack with me,"

Walking towards him I stopped right in front of him.

"You think she will go with you after what you did? I gave her my word she will be staying at my pack till her father comes for her, He has already been notified of the situation and is on his way to retrieve his daughter," "She my mate," he growled out.

Stepping closer to him letting my wolf come forward.

"You helped them take MY MATE,"

I watched him, coward, back dropping his head even his father stepped back lowering his gaze.

"I'm sorry, please don't take her from me please,"

"It's her decision on if she stays with you or not but she will get my pack's support on whatever she decides,"

His shoulders dropped as he sighed knowing he has screwed up big time and now the risk of losing his mate was right in front of him.

"Yes Alpha, I understand,"

"Now my guards will drive you back I suggest when we reach my pack lands you get in your vehicle and leave my territory,"

"Yes, Alpha,"

They both climb in as my guards did pulling off.

Walking back to my vehicle.

"Keaton let's go!"

Autumn

I wasn't sure how long we stayed there but it was so peaceful I learned my wolf's name was Gem.

She was a Gem she was so strong and confident she made me feel whole and the fact I could hear everything around me was so overwhelming I didn't want to wake up. "Autumn it's time," I heard Gem say.

"I don't want to leave Gem, "

She put her head against mine. I wrap my arms around her neck burying my face in her soft fur.

"We need to go, our mate needs us and we need him,"

"Do you think I will be strong enough,"

"Yes I'm with you now we will break away and replace our mate,"

"Gem I'm afraid, He said he was gonna hurt Reins what if he kills him?"

"My dear our mate is strong then you realize, That evil man with not be able to hurt him. Trust our mate." Nodding my head I had to agree with her, just this little time I had been with him I knew he held strength. "Alright, Gem how do we get out of here,"

"You have to wake up,"

"But how I don't feel like I'm sleeping,"

"Close your eyes, think of yourself awake walking around getting out of bed, anything you do when you're awake,"

Closing my eyes I pictured myself I thought of the mornings I woke with Reins our morning after marked each other. A smile comes across my face at the thought of him being my safe place my rock my protector, "That's right feel his love for you, Autumn,"

Gem's voice was all around me. I could see a dim light appear I wanted to open my eyes I wasn't sure if it was my imagination or if I opened my eyes without realizing it.

"Keep your eyes closed, allow the light to pull you in don't worry I'm right here with you."

I felt myself being pulled toward that dim light. Just as I was about there I felt fear build up.

"Gem!" My voice shaking.

"I'm still here Autumn relax I won't leave you trust me."

The light moved closer I sucked in a breath when it surrounded me warmth spread throughout my body.

"Open your eyes!" I heard Gem's voice.

Snapping them open and blinking a few times I was staring at a white ceiling.

"Gem," I call "Gem where are you?"

Hearing the door open made me sit up and look at the person.

He walks in holding a tray with a plate of food and drinks on it.

He stopped when he notices me sitting up.

"I see you are finally awake, good the medication worked, here your gonna be hungry by now,"

I watched his lips move but I didn't have to read them as I was able to hear him. How I thought... "We are one now my dear Autumn so that means we are whole now," Startled by the voice popping into my head.

"Gem is that you!" I spoke in my head so he wouldn't hear me.

"Yes, Didn't I tell you I would be with you when you woke,"

I felt a small amount of relief knowing she was with me.

He stood there watching me I wasn't sure if he was picking up on anything.

He walks closer setting the tray on the stand next to the bed.

Gem let out a growl as he got closer.

Sliding away from him as he reached out to touch my forehead.

"I'm not going to hurt you, I wanted to check if you have a fever,"

"He touches us and I'll bite his hand off,"

I had to stifle my laugh at her words.

"You look better your color coming back, can't believe she gave you so much,"

"What happens now?" I asked him.

He sits on the edge of the bed.

"Well first thing you need to eat, second I need to go finish with my plan,"

"And what is your plan?"

He just smirked at me.

"You have a lot of questions,"

He suddenly got this look in his eyes before I knew it he pounced on me pinning me to the bed. Holding both my wrist in one hand holding them above my head while he held my chin in his other. Tipping my head to the side he pressed his nose to my neck. He then started placing kisses on it when he reached my mark he ran his tongue over it.

Leaning up towards my ear.

"The plan my little sweet flower, is to get that mark off your neck and replace it with mine,"

My stomach dropped I felt bile rise in my mouth.

"You can't!" I screamed at him.

Gem is growling in my head she is not happy with him touching us but it seems neither of us has enough strength yet.

"Oh I can and I will, I just need to first take care of that mate of yours then you are all mine,"

Before I could say anything to him again he bit down on my mark causing pain to rip through me I screamed out loud and Gem whimpered in my head.
