Autumn

"Mhmm." Trying to open my eyes but they shut again from the pain in my head feeling so drained it felt as if I had a set of bongo playing in my head it was pounding so bad.

Peeling my eye open slower this time blinking and squinting I let my eyes adjust to the light everything was a little blurry at first but it slowly began to clear.

Trying not to turn my head too much I was able to notice I was in a hospital room. No one was in there I could see the small chair next to the bedside some papers on the end table then on the far wall was a couch with blankets tossed on it. Where was everyone? Pushing myself to an upright position I wasn't hooked up to any machines I was still in the clothes I changed into before going to see my dad.

My dad! I needed to get to him and see if he was okay. Swinging my legs over the side of the bed I pushed myself to stand up my legs were shaking and my head become dizzy my legs gave out as I fell back on the bed.

My whole body ached I felt as if I ran a Marathon or worked out super hard every muscle hurt.

I heard the click of the handle and then the door open as Reins walked in. His eyes locked on me as I lay halfway out the bed.

"Autumn!" He came running to me as he lifted me to lie back in bed.

"Wait you doing? You too weak yet!"

"No, I need to see my dad!"

I try to push myself up again wanting to get up. Reins placed his hand on my shoulders pushing me back down.

"You need to rest, you over-exerted yourself,"

"Please I need to see my father," I grabbed his hands.

"Shh, it's okay your dad is fine, he's resting in the next room, please calm down,"

I stopped struggling against him when I heard his words looking up at him he gave me a smile cupping my cheek he placed a kiss on my forehead.

"You scared me," He whispers softly in my ear.

"What happens?" I asked him as I didn't remember after I said the words Gem told me to.

"You healed your dad, I don't fully understand what all happened but somehow you and Gem healed him he has no traces of silver left in his system, and his wound is completely healed." "I told you we were special," Gem's soft voice fills my head.

"Oh my god Gem! Are you today?"

I hear her let out a soft laugh.

"Yes, I'm just a little tired,"

"You both need rest, I'll stay with you and soon as you are released we will go to your dad," Reins says as he walks around the bed sitting down in the chair.

"Oh, he can stay as long as he wants or do whatever he wants to,"

"GEM!" I scolded her again.

Hearing Reins let out a chuckle I looked at him.

He reached up pushing the button on the side of the bed.

A few seconds the door opens and a doctor walks in.

"Ahh, Ms. Autumn you're awake, how do you feel?" He asked as he walked closer.

"Oh um just tired, my head hurts a lot,"

"Hmmm, let's have a look,"

He pulls out a small light shining it in my eyes causing me to flinch a little. He listens to my chest checking my reflexes.

"Well, you just to rest your body tired I'll get you something for your headache, but you can leave today I don't see a reason for you to stay here,"

"Alpha can you handle the paperwork?"

"Yes but have it brought in here,"

"Yes, Alpha, Ms. Autumn lots of rest for a few days,"

I nod my head to him as he gave a bow then turning walking out the door.

Before I could say anything there was a knock.

"Come in," Reins calls out.

The door opens and Oscar Kelly and Brad walk-in Nick came walking last.

"Hey Autumn how are you feeling?"

Oscar mouthed to me as he looked at me with a worried face.

"I'm okay just tired,"

Kelly pushed him aside grabbing my hand and holding it as if I was gonna disappear or something.

"We were worried don't do that again,"

She mouths as her one hand was attempting to do sign language.

She says as Brad placed his hand on her shoulder I looked at her and the others.

"Do what? And why do you guys look as if I jumped off a bridge?"

They looked to Reins I followed and did the same.

"What's going on?"

Reins stood stepping closer to the bed.

"Autumn they felt your power I don't know how or why but when you were with your dad all of them felt the surge of power like you were pulling some from them,"

I looked back at my friends.

Their faces all looked pale Kelly had tears in her eyes,

"I don't understand,"

"They're your protectors," Gem says softly.

"My what? Gem I don't understand."

"You will have a few that will support you and lend you energy when you ball upon it when needed, they will also be the ones who guard you and protect you in all and any situations," "But their my friends Gem I don't want them hurt, they didn't ask for this,"

"Their wolves have already claimed loyalty to you, they are your closes friends this is why they were chosen for you,"

Looking at them they all had a look I couldn't explain as they held their heads high as if they could hear Gem speaking.

"Alright you guys got to see her she needs some rest you all know your orders," Reins's voice broke everyone out of the trance we were in.

All bowed then walked out letting the door close.

Rubbing my temples my head started to hurt more.

"Let me replace where the doctor is so you can get something for your head,"

Reins says as he pushes some hair out of my face.

He kissed my cheek before he walked out.

"Gem, something doesn't feel right why is my head hurting so bad,"

I groaned placing both hands on my head and shutting my eyes as the pain increased.

"I think it's another power coming forward,"

The pain hit harder causing me to scream out I couldn't hold it.

Falling forward clutching my head in my hands.

"Riens!" I call his name
