Alphas regret: Magnificent Return of the Rejected Luna -
The Rejected Luna 52
Chapter 52
Silas POV
I was beyond angry, my rage was consuming me. As I stormed towards the hospital, my mind wouldn't stop replaying the image of Rowena, lifeless and covered in blood.

escape. The more I thought about it, the clearer and more real the picture became in my mind, like I was seeing
The pain in my chest hurt more than I expected, like it was opening old wounds that I had buried deep inside.
reminded me of the horrible time when I had lost Rowena, when everything seemed to fall apart.
The grief, the shock, the helplessness, it all came rushing back. It felt like I was reliving that awful moment all over again.
It felt like a nightmare I couldn't escape from. I had tried to move on, to focus on Lorelei, but now, with this photo, all the pain came rushing back. Rowena had died, and that death had haunted me for years. The thought that someone would try to use her death against me twisted something deep inside.
I was barely able to keep my thoughts straight as I reached the hospital.
The cold, sterile air of the corridor felt suffocating. I couldn't wait any longer.
The door to Lena's room came into view, and I didn't hesitate.
I kicked the door open, and the sound of the wood splintering echoed in the small, quiet hallway.
Lena, startled by the noise, immediately sat up in her bed, her eyes wide with fear.
She had that same fearful look on her face, the one she always had when she was caught doing something wrong. I didn't care.
"You! did you send that picture?" I growled, stepping forward and grabbing her by the neck.
My grip was tight, and I lifted her off the bed. I wasn't in the mood to listen to excuses.
Lena's eyes widened even further, confusion and fear flooding her expression.
"What are you talking about?" she asked, her voice trembling.
I felt my rage boil over. She was still playing dumb.
Still pretending she didn't know what I was talking about.
I shoved my phone in her face, showing her the picture of Rowena in a pool of blood.
I could see the shock in Lena's eyes, but there was no hint of remorse.
"Why are you doing this to me?" I snapped, shaking her slightly.
"Why are you terrorizing me with these things after ruining my wedding to Lorelei?"
Lena stared at the picture for a moment, then, without warning, she laughed. The sound was cold and sharp, like a knife cutting through the silence. "She died a good death," Lena said, her voice filled with bitterness. "She got what she deserved."
I was taken aback by her words, the venom in her tone.
My grip tightened, and I could feel the anger bubbling up inside me. "You think that's funny?" I hissed, squeezing harder.
Her face turned red, and I could hear her gasping for breath.
"I didn't do it!" she choked out, her voice panicked. "I swear, I didn't send that picture."

I didn't believe her at first. How could I? It had to be her. She hated Rowena, and she hated me.
But as I looked into her eyes, something in her expression shifted. There was fear, yes, but there was also something else, something I couldn't ignore.
Lena slapped my hand away from her neck weakly, gasping for air, but she nodded quickly.
"If I did it, I would have left a long time ago! I wouldn't still be here, waiting for you to punish me!" she said, her voice pleading now.
I didn't know what to think. Was she telling the truth?
I stared at her, feeling a mix of confusion and anger.
I didn't want to trust her, but something about her words made me hesitate. I had to get to the bottom of this, but I needed to think.
it wasn't you," I asked slowly, "then who was it? Who sent that picture?" My voice was quieter now, more measured.
Lena's face softened, and she looked at me with a mix of frustration and desperation.
"I don't know. But I can help you replace out. I can get people to investigate it for you, if you just let me go," she said, her voice earnest. "I'll replace the person who did this."
I paused, still unsure. But the idea of getting answers, of finally uncovering who was behind this, was too tempting to ignore.
I let go of her neck, pushing her back onto the bed. "Fine. I'll give you a werewolf squad to help you.
But you better replace out who did this fast. If I replace out you're lying to me, I'll make sure you regret it."
Lena rubbed her neck, still gasping for air, but she nodded quickly. "I'll replace out, I promise."
Before I could say anything more, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out, my heart sinking when I saw the message.
It was another photo of Rowena's death, and this time, it wasn't just in my inbox-it was being sent to everyone in the pack.
