Crystal’s P.O.V.

“We need to secure their way to our pack now. Marcus is still nowhere to be found, but I have this hunch that he is around the Royal Pack. Stella is capable, but the pack is still vulnerable in Killian and Nelson’s absence,” I said to Theo and Adam in a serious tone.

“You are right. I think it will be much better if I switch places with Killian and let him go back to the Royal Pack,” Theo said in a serious tone, and I nodded. Adam clicked his tongue while looking at the map in front of us. We are in Theo’s office right now. I was sitting on the chair as I had no strength to stand up. Adam offered his blood a few minutes later, but I denied it. I had already drunk his blood twice. It was weakening him too.

Both Theo and Adam looked at me questioningly. I took a deep breath and looked at Adam. “I… I need to tell you something, Adam…. It…. It’s about Neo,” I said to him, but I lowered my tone in the end while looking at him cautiously. His face immediately went blank.

Theo immediately came near to me and put his hands on my shoulders. I held his hand there. “Luna said th.. that she felt Neo’s presence inside you,” I said further while looking at Adam cautiously. His eyes widened in shock, and his whole b*dy shuddered hard.

“I… I know that it’s a shock for you… but he is still inside you, Adam. He didn’t leave you…. He is just sleeping deep inside you,” I continued in a cracked tone, and tears filled his eyes. There was now a painful expression on his face.

“Ar…. are you sure ab.. about him?” He asked me in a choked tone,, and a weak smile appeared on my l*ps. “Your transformation weakened his strength, but he never left you, Adam. He is still inside you, and his healing will take some time,” I answered him, and he sniffed harder while holding the table. Theo immediately went near him and dragged a chair for Adam.

“Sit down,” he instructed Adam in a calm tone. Adam slowly sat down on the chair while looking at me with tearful eyes. “Luna is still too weak to contact your wolf, or else she would have done something to wake him up,” I said in an apologetic tone.

“No… don’t feel sorry,” Adam shook his head while saying to me. “You don’t need to feel sorry. I am thankful to Luna fo… for giving me a hope th… that I will be able to talk to Neo in the near future. I… I will be able to apologize to him for my wrongdoings. She is weak, still, she tried to reach him.. I.. I… thank you… thank you Luna… thank you so much,” he replied to me in at choked tone and thanked me so many times while sniffing hard.

Luna whimpered lightly, but I smiled while taking a deep breath. “It may be possible that Neo comes back after you reach the Blood Moon Pack. That place is after all, your birthplace,” Theo said in a calm tone, and I nodded in agreement. “Let’s do this then. If William has no objection, then I am ready to go to the Blood Moon Pack,” Adam said in a choked but determined tone while wiping his cheeks with the back of his hand.

“Hey… but you didn’t tell me where I need to go,” I asked Theo in confusion. when I remembered that we didn’t discuss anything about me. Both Theo and Adam looked at me with calm faces. “You need to stay with the queen here, my love. It may be possible that her wolf once again tries to go back to her human in close proximity,” Theo answered me, and I pursed my l*ps into a

thin line.

“In that case, you must stay with her, Theo. Leaving her alone to suffer can be fatal for her,” Adam said to Theo this time, and I lowered my head. I felt like a burden to everyone. “Crystal,” Theo called my name in a stern voice, and I gulped the invisible lump that had formed inside my throat. He cupped my face and pulled it up towards him.

I slowly removed my hands from his n*eck, and he straightened his back before taking the phone. He put the call on the speaker, putting the phone back on the table. “We have a few more injured people with us, Theo. Two of them are in a very bad state. I rescued them from the dungeons. They need emergency medical treatment,” William said in a calm, but worried tone.

“I will inform the hospital to be ready for the worst. You don’t worry. We will do our best to save as many lives as we can, William.” Theo answered him in a calm tone. “We have some changes in our plans, William,” Theo continued and there was silence on the other side. “Let me connect with Killian first,” William said in a serious tone.

I knitted my brows when I still felt fear and worry in his voice. I looked at Adam and saw the same confusion on his face. Theo muted the call and looked at me. “It’s only me, or did you also feel something wrong with William?” Theo asked me in confusion, and I nodded in agreement.

“What is it?” Killian asked, and Theo unmuted the call once again. “I am not sure, brother, but I am having this hunch that Marcus will try to attack any of the other packs instead of coming here. He must have the same thought that everyone would keep the Crescent Moon Pack safe, leaving all the other packs vulnerable to his attack,” I answered him, telling him what was in my mind.

“What do you suggest, then?” William asked me in a serious tone this time. I took a deep breath while looking at Theo. He signalled me to continue. “Theo and Alpha Sylvester are leaving the pack, and they will meet you in the midway. You and Theo will go to the Royal Pack, and Alpha Sylvester and Alpha Nelson will bring our mother here. You will stay back in the royal pack, and Theo will come back here with Dad,” I told him what the plan is now.

“Dad Warrick is leaving for the Blood Moon Pack, and William will go after bringing everyone here. Thomas is already in the Night Crawl Pack, but Alpha Sylvester and his beta will leave for the Night Crawl Pack with William,” I finished what I had in mind.

“I am sorry, Crystal… but I… I can’t leave,” William replied in an apologetic. tone, but there was still fear evident in his voice. “You should go now, Theo,” Adam said to Theo while looking at his watch. “What happened, William?” I asked him in a worried tone.

“Uhhhh… I will tell you once I reach there,” William–answered me in the same tone. “Why did you need Dad there?” Killian asked me in a confused tone right after William finished answering me. “I am leaving now,” Theo whispered to me, and I nodded to him. “I am calling you back, guys from my phone. Theo has to leave now, I said to all of them, and I hung up.

“Take care and stay strong until I come back,” Theo whispered to me, and I stood up slowly. “You have to come back to me as soon as possible,” I replied to him in a worried tone. He smiled and k*ssed my forehead before looking at Adam.

“Take care of her, and don’t leave her alone at any cost. I am trusting her with you,” Theo instructed Adam, and Adam gave Theo a curt nod, and Theo walked out of the room.

I sat down with a thud and clenched my fists. Luna also whimpered, but we both knew that it was important. “You love him so much,” Adam whispered. making me look up at him. I smiled weakly while nodding in agreement.

“Yeah,” I answered him briefly and looked at the table blankly. There was silence in the room for a minute, and I welcomed this silence. “What do you think has happened to William? I felt him stressed and scared.” Adam asked me, breaking the silence after some time.

I took a deep breath and looked up once again. “I am leaving now…. Take care of yourself,” Theo mind linked to me at the same time. “I love you.” I replied to him through the mind–linked, pouring all my love for him in my voice. “I love you too, my love…. stay strong and I will be back in no time,” he answered me in a loving tone.

I sniffed after we cut off the mind link

“I know that I shouldn’t say this, but I sometimes think that…. That… I was nothing but the most foolish person back. then, Crystal,” Adam said in a light tone, shrinking his nose lightly. I raised my brows questioningly. He chuckled and came near to me. He leaned on the table with his butt while looking at me with a small smile on his l*ps.

“I rejected you and you accepted without any hesitation. We were good friends. before that, and and… I know that it was me who messed up everything between us. My girlfriend (his tone became bitter) for whom I rejected you, rejected me as soon as I lost everything. Still, you came to rescue me and saved me from that hell hole. You filled your responsibility as my friend when I,” he paused, having a bitter expression on his face.

“That time has gone, Adam. Now we have to keep our families safe at any cost,” I said to him in a gentle tone, and I put my hand on his hand. He nodded while lowering his eyes. “Let’s go now… we have a lot to do now,” I said. further and stood up from the chair. He immediately held me by my arm,

making me smile again. It was good that we were once again on friendship

terms, and I hope it remains the same forever.
