I looked at Crystal’s calm face with a pang of guilt in my heart. It was me who ruined my chances with her. It was not on her but on me. I didn’t have romantic feelings for her in the past, but we were good friends. The girl in front of me was still the same Crystal, but she was now more intelligent and mature than in the past.
She was handling everything very calmly, which was really admirable. She gave instructions to the next team of warriors and secured the whole pack house and all the important buildings. She paused and took a deep breath later when she was giving them the instructions. We were outside the pack house right now.
“There is another attack in the north side,” she told me in a cold tone, making me chew on my inner cheeks. “You go inside and let me take care of this, Crystal,” Martha said to her in a worried tone. Crystal looked at her with a light smile on her face.
“Do you really think that I will stay inside the pack house when the pack needs. its Luna, Mom?” she asked Martha in a calm tone while tilting her head lightly. “But,” Martha tried to say something when Crystal raised her hand in the air, making Martha stop.
“We need to reach there first,” Crystal said in a cold tone, looking at the warriors. “Everyone… I am dividing all of you into three teams. One will go with me to the north border right now. The second will be our back in Alpha Adam’s command, and the third will stay here, protecting the pack house under Luna Sylvia’s command,” she instructed them in a firm tone.
“No, Crystal… Jam going with you,” I protested immediately, making her look. at me. “You are my backup, Adam, or you can say, my trump card in this battle. Let me face them first, and you are free to enter the battle if you feel any threat to my life,” she answered to me, and I just stared at her with a troubled expression.
“I am not going alone. Mom and Luna Elena will be with me,” she continued, and my eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t be serious. She… she was telling me the three most important women of my life would fight in front of me and Iwould stay behind, watching them fight?

I was about to say something when she moved towards the warriors once again. She instructed them in a firm and commanding tone while dividing. them into three teams. “Don’t take her instructions to heart, Adam. She knows what she is doing.” Martha patted my shoulder while comforting me.
I sighed in defeat this time. I really missed Neo in these kinds of situations. when I wanted to talk with someone pouring all my worries in front of him. “Let’s go,” she said to me, and I looked at the team of around fifty warriors that I needed to lead if they needed my help during the battle.
She then looked back at me and passed a small smile. “We are heading first. Ensure the safety of the pack house first, and then come to us,” she instructed me this time, and I just nodded to her. “Try not to shift, Crystal,” I asked her, and she nodded to me. She was now standing on her feet, but she was still too weak to utilize her complete strength.
She then looked at my mother and Martha, and both the women immediately shifted in front of me. Crystal rode Martha’s wolf, and then they all howled aloud, making everyone howled behind them. They all then ran towards the border in the north. I looked at Luna Sylvia who nodded to me, and we both started our work too.
I ensured the safety of the rest of the pack members who were now in safe rooms in three different buildings. I placed the warriors of the third team accordingly, ensuring safety from both inside and outside the safe rooms. “Bring her back alive, Adam. I want both of you to come back to me by the end of the day,” Luna Sylvia said to me in a firm tone when I was about to leave for the border.
“I will, Luna Sylvia. I will,” I replied to her in a firm tone, and she passed me a genuine motherly smile. I smiled back and then looked at the troupe of warriors, waiting for my instructions. One of them came forward and bowed in front of me. “Luna Crystal instructed me to be with you, Alpha Adrian to be a communicating bridge between you and Luna Crystal,” he said to me and now I was really surprised. She managed to replace a way to communicate during the battle.
I nodded to him and took a deep breath. “Let’s go now. We can’t be late,” I instructed them in a calm tone, and everyone howled aloud, confirming my command to them. I felt so good after a long time, hearing this howl in your voice. I took a deep breath again and started running in the same direction where Crystal had gone earlier.

The guard, whose name was John was now running beside me. “Alpha Adrian. is joining us there, Alpha Adam. He will meet us around half a kilometer before the border,” he informed me and I just gave him a curt nod while running. I could run faster than them, but didn’t want to do that right now. It really felt good running with the pack members.
“I think you should run ahead of us to assess the situation there, Alpha,” John said in a low but firm tone, making me narrow my eyes in confusion. We stopped in our tracks when he stopped and looked at me with a respectful
gaze.
“I mean no disrespect to you, Alpha, and I apologize in advance if I cross my limits,” he said while bowing his head lightly. “Feel free to say what you want to say, John,” I asked him in a calm tone. He took a deep breath and looked at the warriors, now standing around us.
“Yo…. you have the abilities of a vampire, Alpha Adam. We know that you can run faster than us, and can reach there faster than us. I… I think… it will be better if you reach there as early as possible, and… and can help Luna Crystal if she needs help right now,” he said with a bit of hesitation, but I was really surprised to hear him.
“Yes, Alpha Adam…. She is still sick, and… and only you can help her in the battle in the absence of Alpha Theo and until Alpha Adrian reaches there.” Another warrior came forward and asked me in a respectful tone.
I looked at all of them and saw the same expressions on their faces. I was overwhelmed by realizing their trust in me. They all knew what happened back then, and yet they are putting their trust that I could keep their Luna safe with all their sincerity.
“Okay… but John.. I will carry you with me so that I can stay connected with the group,” I answered them in a cracked tone but looked at John in the end. He nodded and looked at the other warrior. “Stay alert and follow us with all your strength,” John instructed his fellow warriors, then looked back at me.
John was a burly man with a good height but I was still taller than him. When I turned into a vampire, there was a slight change in my height, and now it was an advantage for me. I wrapped my hand around his waist and pulled him up. He immediately held me by my torso and I leaped higher in the air. He immediately held me by m

was like what we saw in Twilight, but more than that, it was like the movie Underworld. I smiled when I remembered how obsessed Crystal was with the female lead in this movie. She wanted to be a fighter like her. Today, she was just like that character but stronger than the female lead.
I stopped at the highest branch of a tall tree, from where I could see the whole battleground. We had the upper hand, but I could feel so many other presences around us. “Bastards…. They are playing d*rty,” I muttered and looked at John, who was now holding the branch tightly.
“Tell everyone that there are more than 100 vampires hidden in the deep forest outside the borders, mostly on the east side,” I instructed John immediately while concentrating on my hearing. “Yes, alpha,” he immediately answered me, and I kept on looking for any other hidden threat.
“Alpha Adrian is with the group now, and he is heading towards the east side. to take them from behind,” John told me after some time, and I gave him a curt nod. I narrowed my eyes when I saw My mother and Martha fighting with four vampires. Both of them had great synchronization, but I could see that they were losing.
“We need to join now,” I said to John, and he nodded to me. I guess he also saw the scene in front of us. “Use guns instead of shifting first. Kill those who were. about to kill or injure our members,” I gave him further instruction while wrapping my hand around his waist once again, jumping down.
John gasped aloud while tightening his hold on my waist, but I didn’t stop. I landed on the ground easily and put him back on the ground. “Let’s go, John,” I said to him while cracking my n*eck, and I started running in the direction of my mother, who was now on the ground, and a vampire was hovering over her.
I roared aloud, announcing my presence there, and most of the vampires, including the one who was about to injure my mother looked at me. I smirked when I saw my mother taking advantage of his distraction, and she sank her canines into his n*eck while thrusting her hand inside his chest. Now it was my time to show them their real place.
