Amnesia Love: The Five Boyfriends Challenge -
Chapter 18-Freckled boy.
The four of us entered the bar, and upon entering, I frowned at the blaring music.
Raimundo seemed familiar with the place, so he requested a private room from the waiter. Once inside, the walls shielded us from the loud music, finally giving my ears a break.
But we were here to replace the man who passed the fake message to Alan, and he certainly wouldn't be hiding in a private room. Seeing my concern, Aiden patted the back of my hand.
"I went out to see if there was anyone suspicious, while Miss Chloe stayed here," he explained.
I shook my head disapprovingly. "This place is huge, and with so many people coming and going, how could you manage alone?"
I looked at Docker, but he refused to leave my side.
"My primary task is to keep you safe, Miss Chloe, and I mustn't leave your side," Docker insisted.
Knowing I couldn't persuade him otherwise, I turned my attention to Raimundo, who was already seated on the couch, enjoying his wine. "Now that you're here, don't stay idle. Go out for a stroll," I suggested.
"If you ask, I'll be happy to oblige!"
Raimundo proved surprisingly easy to talk to, much to my surprise.
He and Aiden left simultaneously, leaving just Docker and me in the room.
Once they were gone, Docker, who had been containing himself all day, finally pressed me down on the couch and kissed me passionately.
His kisses were intense, and I couldn't refuse them. He held me until I was nearly out of breath.
"Miss Chloe is a liar!"
Perplexed, I asked, "What did I lie to you about?"
"You already have me, why bother with other men? And not just one!"
Docker was jealous, stewing in his own jealousy all day.
After leaving Raimundo's villa, I insisted on spending the day with Aiden. Even though I hadn't forgotten Docker, he detested these third-wheel scenarios.
As he spoke, his anger flared again, and he gave me a playful bite on the neck.
"Okay, Docker, that's enough!"
I placed my hand on his chest. "I'm not lying to you, you're mistaken! Think about it. When did I ever imply that I was alone with you? I only said I wanted your presence and your heart. I never said I wanted you exclusively."" Docker began to recollect my words.
Suddenly, he frowned, seized my wrist, and pinned my hands above my head.
"But you're still deceiving me!"
I smiled and met his gaze. "Even if I were deceiving you, would you still want to be deceived by me?"
I was testing him. If he rejected me, I would let him go without hesitation.
If he chose to stay, he had to accept that other men would be part of my life besides him.
Docker fell silent. He rested his head on my shoulder and sighed.
"I don't know... I love you, Miss Chloe, but I..."
"Shh..."
I interrupted him before he could finish. "You don't have to answer now. Take your time to think it over and let me know."
Docker closed his eyes and nodded gently.
"Let's relax and head out later."
Still a bit uneasy, I wanted to venture out to see for myself.
After all, I'm a Meredith, and if this guy is after M Corporation, he knows me.
Showing up at a bar, there's a chance he'd inquire about me. After all, to the outside world, I'm the Meredith family's biggest problem.
Docker made sure to straighten my clothes and fix my hair before we left. He's so thoughtful; one person serving as both bodyguard and caretaker.
If he had refused, I would've been reluctant to let him go.
Once we left the private room, I steered clear of the dance floor due to the raucous music. Instead, I opted to wander around outside first to see if anyone suspicious appeared. "Hey, buddy, you can't be serious! How can you come here without money?"
"I never planned to come here; you dragged me."
"Quit the nonsense. You're here, drank from this table, and you're paying for it!"
"I really don't have my wallet, and I only had one beer, the rest was for you!"
"Lower your voice! If the bartender hears you won't pay, we'll get dragged into the alley and beaten!"
I overheard two men conversing as I passed by their booth.
Correction, boys, to be precise.
Neither looked very old, and one wore a hooded hoodie and black-rimmed glasses, fitting the stereotype of a good student.

The boy's hair was slightly curly, dense freckles dotted beneath his glasses, and His blue-green pupils, filled with tension like a startled deer, held a particular charm. I stopped and gazed at the boy for a moment longer.
"Docker, did you catch that?" I asked.
Docker leaned in and responded, "That boy is in trouble. He probably got lured here and is now being forced to pay for the entire table after just one drink." Docker noticed my interest in the freckled boy, and his vigilance indicated he knew I was intrigued.
He grabbed my wrist and guided me forward, but I remained rooted in place, unwilling to leave.
As Docker turned to look at me, I smiled and declared, "I want to help him."
The bar was dimly lit, but I could still discern Docker's expression.
I hooked my arm around his neck and kissed him on the lips.
"Don't worry. I just can't stand seeing people bullied. He's just a kid!"
Docker nodded and pulled me toward the booth.
The troublemaker had begun pressuring the freckled boy to contact his roommate for his wallet. When the boy hesitated, the troublemaker snatched his phone and texted the roommate directly. I exchanged a glance with Docker, and he promptly stepped in, seizing the phone from the troublemaker.
The troublemaker stood up, ready to fight, but he faced Docker like a mouse confronting an eagle and scurried away in defeat.
The freckled boy looked at us nervously and flustered, likely assuming Docker and I were just like the troublemaker, bullying him.
I grabbed his hoodie string, leaned in, and whispered, "Sweetie, want me to help you out of this mess?"
