Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia) -
Chapter 1017
"Okay, I'll give you the address and contact number later. Just send it over!"
After giving that order, Trevor dialled another number. After setting things up, he sent the contact as promised earlier, put away his phone, and picked up his cutleries once again.
All of a sudden, Victoria, who was sitting opposite him, froze with her spoon in her mouth.
"What's wrong? Didn't you crave cheese- baked lobsters? Why aren't you eating it?"
Trevor observed, scooping up some lobster onto Victoria's plate. A faint smile appeared on her face as she thought to herself, "He must've been calling his doctor, right?"
Although the phone call only lasted a minute or two, Victoria could more or less decipher the situation. Moreover, it was obvious that Trevor was trying to be discreet as if hiding something from her. In truth, it didn't take much for Victoria to guess why was he calling the doctor at that hour.
Despite so, that was only a small sense of suspicion in her heart. In the end, she grinned faintly without saying anything, and continued to enjoy her meal...
On the other side, Selena had been waiting anxiously, her stomach in a twist. It never crossed her mind that her controlling behavior together with the non-stop communications of Nina and hers would cause Trevor to despise her, and even to completely change his mind. In the room, Selena cleared her throat as her eyes swept over the clock on the wall subconsciously. She called out, "Nina?"
It had already been an hour!
"Miss Duff, do you still feel unwell? How about I ask Master Trevor for a doctor? Are you sure you don't need to go to the hospital?"
The figure in front of her kept shaking to and fro, with the muffled sound of someone chattering ceaselessly in her ear. Selena waved her hand impatiently, shutting her eyes. When she was about to say something, the sound of a car pulling up was heard.
Suddenly, Nina turned around and exclaimed, "Perhaps that's Master Trevor. Miss Duff, I'll go downstairs to welcome him, then get you medicine!"
As she said that, Nina had already rushed out of the door.
Selena's body could only react by limping weakly,
sliding weakly as she leaned further back into the sofa.
Until she heard the sound of footsteps pounding on her eardrums, she sat up a little and shifted in her seat, feigning a sputter, "Erkhem... Trev..."
When she fluttered her eyelids, she was greeted by the sight of an unfamiliar man in a white coat. Her eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, Selena even forgot how to cough.
At that point, it was still Nina who ran over to her first. "Miss Duff, are you feeling unwell again? Here're the medicine, I'll pour you some water!"
That instant, Selena suddenly came to her senses and remembered something. She held her hand over her mouth and quickly beckoned, "Erkhem, quick!"
Selena pretended to take a pill, then sat up and lowered her head. She then only realized that she was still in her scanty white nightdress that was almost see-through, so she hastily reached out for her robe and draped it on. "Who is this?"
At that time, the man had already opened his medicine case and pulled out a stethoscope.
"Miss Duff, right? I'm Doctor Rayne's assistant. My name's Larry. It was Master Trevor who had his assistant pick me up, to come here. I heard that you weren't feeling well, so let me take a look at you, okay?" "Did Holger sent you? Then, why didn't he come up? Where's Trevor?"
She could hardly believe what she just heard. A burst of flames sparked in her eyes, and Selena's face instantly darkened.
What was the meaning of all of that? Where was he and how dare he arrange a stranger for her instead? As for Holger, was he not even going to drop by? Was she really so despicable that no one wanted to see her?
"Huh? Are you referring to the
assistant, Mr. Crouch? I heard he
me
had some business to attend to, so it was another one of Master Trevor's assistants who brought here. Master Trevor has sent already someone to fetch your medication, and have double checked too. I went through your medical record, so I'm aware of what's going on. Don't worry, I'll do my best to treat you. Doctor Rayne will be back in about a month. Now, let me check your pulse..."
Larry was about to approach her, but Selena swatted her hand at him, snapping in frustration. "No, it's okay. I'm feeling better now! You can go!"
"Miss Duff, valvular problems aren't something you should take lightly. Since I'm here, just let me take a look! Otherwise, I can't possibly bring myself to face Master Trevor..."
"I said I'm fine, I'm fine. Didn't you hear me? Get out, I don't want to see you!"
After roaring at him, Selena pushed all of them out of her room in anger and slammed the door behind her. Looking around, she grabbed the nearest object available and started smashing everything in sight on the door, throwing a huge fit. Outside, Larry had no choice but to lower his head and leave, dejected.
As soon as Trevor stepped into the house, his phone buzzed with a call from his assistant, which made his eyebrows twist into a frown. "All right, I get it! It's fine, you all may leave!"
Time slipped by quickly like sand between fingers. Slowly, Victoria started to recover. The short darkness in their lives seem to dissipate and Trevor's life seemed to have returned on its right track too.
In the blink of an eye, it was already the weekend. After a few months passed without having sex, Trevor, of course, went all out together with Victoria like a wild horse, working in bed completely uncontrollably from sunset to sunrise. Even as his cell phone continued to ring, he refused to get out of bed. The exhilarating energy that he had not experienced for a while pulsed and throbbed inside him, made him feel like a baby sparrow drunk on the beauty of the wilderness.
Visibly exhausted, Victoria lay spread out on the bed like a doll, quiet and motionless. She was so tired that she could barely open her eyes. Not too long after, the buzzing sound of a cell phone ringing woke her up from her sleep. Groaning, she pulled a pillow over her ears, then shoved Trevor in annoyance.
"God, that d*mn noise... It's killing me..."
Trevor, who was as wiped out as she was, somehow was filled with an indescribable satisfaction. He rolled over to wrap her in his arms. Reaching lazily to grab the vibrating phone, there were hundreds of unanswered calls on the screen. However, all that didn't matter then. Trevor couldn't care less about who called. He muted all of them, flopped back down and closed his eyes, snuggling up with Victoria again.
When he opened his eyes again, the harsh light had faded away. Other than the fulfilling happiness within him, there was only the feeling of hunger. Trevor brushed away the strand of hair that fell on Victoria's ear, lowered his head, and planted a trail of kisses from her neck all the way down to her shoulders.
When she was asleep, she was just like an obedient, cuddly kitten.
Seeing that Victoria still had no intention of getting up, Trevor picked up his cell phone and tiptoed into the bathroom. He first replied to a few important text messages, then opened up Selena's message record.
All the while, Trevor had been so occupied by everything else around him. The only thing he'd done was to send some stuff over to her a couple of times. It suddenly occurred to him that he indeed hadn't seen her in a few days, so he made up his mind to head over for a visit.
After taking a quick shower, Trevor walked out slowly from the bathroom, looking up to see that Victoria was still fast asleep on the bed. Trying his best not to disrupt her, he changed into his clothes and tiptoed out of the room.
A few seconds later, Victoria's eyes suddenly fluttered open, as if she'd been startled. At the bedside, there was a small card, on which was his messy handwriting.
"Out for errands. Meet you at 6 at our usual spot. We're going for a buffet, my little piglet!"
Rolling over, Victoria grabbed the card and smooched it. She couldn't help giggling. She was sleepy because of him. He was a big bad pervert...
