Benson -
Benson 110
Chapter 110 Family Secrets
An hour later, Yvonne hurried to the hospital, her steps quick and heavy, each one feeling like a weight on
her heart
Susan anxiously met her, worry and unease in her eyes. “Yvonne, you finally made it. Benson has already been here and took Mary away.”
Yvonne nodded, her face pale as paper but maintaining her composure.
She walked into the hospital room and looked at her thother lying in bed, a wave of sorrow washing over her
Her mother’s face was lined with fatigue and pain, beads of sweat dotting her forehead, and her breathing was rapid and uneven.
Yvonne gently touched her mother’s forehead, feeling her slight trembling, and her heart ached even more. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, then turned to Susan, “What happened?”
Susan hesitated, her eyes flickering as if weighing how to speak.
Finally, she spoke softly. “She met Mary during her check–up. Mary said some things, and your mother got agitated and had a relapse.”
Susan’s voice carried a hint of helplessness and guilt. She knew this news would be another blow to Yvonne
Yvonne’s brow furrowed, a flash of anger and confusion in her eyes.
She knew Mary’s words must have touched a deep wound in her mother’s heart, but she didn’t understand why Mary would choose this moment to appear.
Yvonne’s voice trembled, “What did she say?”
your father…”
Susan looked at her, silent for a long time, then hesitantly said, “She said your father… yo Yvonne urgently pressed, “Say it!”
Susan lowered her head, her voice barely audible, “She said your father forced himself on her!”
Hearing this, Yvonne felt as if struck by lightning, her scalp, tingling, anger surging instantly. “She’s lying!” She rushed out of the hospital room, heading straight for Mary’s room, fury blazing within her. She pushed open the door to see Benson standing slightly bent over Mary’s bed, his face solemn.
Perhaps because Mary’s face had been badly beaten, his expression was particularly severe.
Her abrupt entrance startled them both.
Mary, seeing Yvonne, shrank into Benson’s arms in fear, while her husband frowned and said, “You should leave.”
Yvonne felt a sharp pain in her heart; he would never choose her or care about her! Was this his idea of making amends?
Yvonne ignored him, walking towards them with anger blazing in her eyes.
Mary, who had been so aggressive towards her before, now appeared weak and frightened, like a scared little rabbit clinging to Benson.
“Don’t come near me! My leg is broken, and your mother beat me up! What more do you want?” she cried,

tears streaming down her face.
“Yvonne, leave,” Benson ordered, his tone commanding.
Yvonne sneered, “What, afraid I’ll hit her?”
“Leavel” Benson’s voice grew more severe.
Yvonne’s nose stung, looking at his cold, deep eyes.

“I’m not leaving. I have questions for her.” She reached out to grab Mary, but Benson grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of the room.
“Don’t cause trouble!”
“What trouble? Mary falsely accused my father, causing my mother’s relapse! How is this my fault?”
“Watch her, don’t let her back in,” Benson told George, and as he turned to re–enter the room, he glanced back at Yvonne, his tone softer yet still firm, “Behave, we’ll talk later.”
Yvonne wanted to scratch Benson’s face, but George held her back, “Madam, please listen to Mr. Benson. They aren’t like that.”
Yvonne sneered, “Really?” She didn’t belleve a word.
“Please calm down,” George said, trying to soothe her.
She couldn’t calm down. She was hurt, sad, and shocked.
Because she learned some things today, and because of what happened, she was exhausted.
Mary could provoke her, rely on Benson’s favor to disregard her.
But she couldn’t harm her family or falsely accuse her father. That was unacceptable!
Yvonne sat silently on the hospital bench for a long time, thinking about what to do.
George spoke again, “Madam, Mr. Benson really isn’t involved with her. You’ve seen it these days. He hasn’t managed her affairs or let the company intervene.”
Mr. Benson was also tired of Mary always trying to use that person” to manipulate him. The boss wanted to keep her at arm’s length, to maintain control and prevent Mary from taking advantage.
Yes, in recent days, the news about Mary had been all over the internet, and he hadn’t intervened.
Online speculation said they had broken up, and Mary’s resources might dwindle.
He found Raymond for her, and George said he wanted to make amends. She thought his attitude towards her would change… but that was just her illusion.
“Not involved? He takes care of her, then kicks me out?” Yvonne didn’t understand why George always defended him. She couldn’t comprehend; he was unfaithful, yet acted wronged.
George moved his lips but didn’t know how to explain.
Hannah’s sudden attack on Mary had been dealt with urgently before it escalated online, preventing Hannah from being cyberbullied.
Coming to the hospital was to teach Mary a lesson, but something she said changed the boss.
Inside the hospital room, Benson looked sternly at Mary, “Where’s the list?”
“Mr. Benson… if I give you the list, I’ll have no leverage, Mary’s voice trembled. These days she lived in fear, her assistant calling Benson to no avail.

She even heard they traveled together. Despite Benson’s reluctance, he was too attached to Yvonne.
Even the news about his floved one” didn’t concern him as much as before. She understood some things.
Benson was angry with her constant threats about “that person.” With her bad reputation now, he wanted to use this to exchange all the information he needed, once and for all.
Without leverage, she had to bring up past events in the Jiang family.
Her voice carried a hint of sadness and helplessness, “Mr. Benson, do you want the list or news about that person?”
Benson straightened up, his eyes nartowing, grabbing her throat, “I’m tired of your stupidity!”
Mary struggled to breathe, her face turning blue.
She stammered, “If anything happens to me, the list will be public, and John’s reputation will be ruined… I don’t want much, just… just a role and a contract with Wanshang.”
Benson tightened his grip, Mary’s eyes filled with fear, she struggled, her voice hoarse, “Mr. Benson, please…”
Watching her struggle, Benson felt disgust and helplessness, finally releasing her. Mary gasped for air, coughing, “Mr. Benson, do you want the list or news about that person?”
Benson’s eyes were cold, “Give me the list first.”
Mary’s heart was filled with sadness. He had changed. He prioritized Yvonne’s matters over his “loved. one.” Her heart was bitter and helpless, but she knew she had no choice.
