Chapter 148 Gentle Offensive

Benson was startled. “I don’t deny it, but that’s not all. Do you want to? You said there are four more times.”

Yvonne rolled her eyes and then lay down.

“You know how to calculate well,” she retorted, her voice soft but with a hint of powerless protest.

“Harmony between husband and wife is quite crucial.”

Benson responded, his voice calm and deep, as if each word carried infinite gentleness and promise.

His fingers gently touched her chin brushing over her soft skin.

They might argue about many things.

But in certain crucial moments, this silent understanding always allowed them to replace resonance, more in sync than any other time.

Yvonne didn’t explicitly agree to Benson’s proposal, but she didn’t refuse either.

They just quietly stared at each other, and as time passed, the temperature in the room seemed to rise gradually.

The ambiguous atmosphere between them grew stronger with each glance, but their heartbeats remained unusually calm, as if waiting for a certain opportunity.

“We have a lot of issues between us. Let’s solve them one by one, okay? Don’t keep things lukewarm, alright?”

Benson gradually lowered his head, his lips gently and lingeringly falling on hers with a hint of appeasement.

Benson had always been a smart person, good at summarizing and observing. He had noticed Yvonne’s sensitivity to this gentle approach back in the bathroom.

He carefully pried open her lips, delving deeper, their tongues intertwining.

Initially passive, Yvonne finally lifted her hand to wrap around his neck, responding to his kiss.

As emotions heated up, Benson began to carefully unbutton her nightgown.

Her body trembled under his skillful touch, while he supported himself in front of her, maintaining a subtle distance to avoid pressing down on her completely.

“I just got back not long ago, and there’s a lot of business I haven’t caught up on. It’s not as busy as your side before the New Year. You don’t have to worry about the Thanksgiving gifts at home.”

His words were relaxed and light, seemingly giving her an invisible sense of security.

Faced with such a scene, Yvonne’s eyes slightly reddened. She shyly turned her head away, avoiding his passionate gaze.

However, Benson wouldn’t miss such an opportunity. He kissed her neck, continuing his magic.

Their figures intertwined, fingers tightly clasped together.

In her heightened emotions, Yvonne almost unconsciously bit his ear, “Not that…”

An excited Benson lifted his head, staring at her with burning eyes, silent for a while. “I’ll go buy it,” he said.

This marriage, he probably wouldn’t leave.

While dressing, Benson glanced at the painting on the wall again.

Even if “that person” came back, his choice wouldn’t change.

Taking medicine wouldn’t be good for her body in the end.

After Benson left, Yvonne cuddled the blanket, lying on her side on the bed.

he painting on the wall also caught her eye.

She was thinking about whether to ask him if he still remembered their past.

Bella’s time with Andrew was always filled with twists and

confusion.

His elusive and somewhat roguish attitude made her both

resistant and infatuated.

One day, after going through battle after battle, Bella finally stopped to fill her empty stomach.

She took a bite of her sandwich, feeling her energy slowly returning.

“Have you been taking medicine?” Bella asked softly, with a hint of teasing and confusion in her eyes.

Andrew raised an eyebrow, seemingly amused by the question. “If I took medicine, I could kill you.”

His voice carried an unintentional threat and a bit of mockery.

Bella was momentarily speechless, only able to smile bitterly and shake her head.

Andrew didn’t stop there, his gaze on Bella softening.

Chapter 14 Gentle tensive

“Regarding our long–term relationship, I want to set three rules.” Before he finished speaking, his phone rang, piercingly sharp.

On the other end, Claire’s crying voice was extremely emotional: ” Andrew, what’s wrong with you?”

“I should be asking you that. What are you up to over there? Filming is fine, but who allowed you to meddle in other things?”

Andrew’s tone was stern, clearly extremely dissatisfied with some

of Claire’s actions.

Bella, curious, quietly approached, trying not to let Andrew notice.

her.

But Andrew seemed already aware of her movement. He didn’t stop her but pulled her onto his lap and switched to speaker mode.

On the other end, Claire’s voice became more urgent: “Benson’s wife is being difficult. I took advantage of the situation. You can use this to control Bella. Haven’t you had enough of her yet?”

The tension between Andrew and Bella intensified, and Bella’s face showed displeasure.

“Sorry, I slept with him. He changed his mind. I’m warning you, if you mess with Yvonne, I’ll whisper in his ear to drive you crazy.”

The call ended with a snap. Bella coldly looked at Andrew. “Is this how your family teaches you, not knowing right from wrong?”

Andrew only gave a faint smile without answering. The

atmosphere became heavy.

Bella stood up from him, her tone firm: “Our relationship lasts three months. If you want to see me, I’ll arrange a place. I’m not the kind to burn bridges. This is very dignified.”

Chapter 149 Gentle Offensive

Andrew watched the little hedgehog before him with a smile.

His ambiguous smile carried a hint of amusement, as if he could see through people’s hearts.

“Three months, is that considered long–term?” he asked softly, his tone unintentionally provocative.

Bella still looked him in the eye, her expression a mix of helplessness and suppressed emotions.

She responded lightly, “You’re still on probation. After three

months, either I’ll dump you, or you’ll be permanent. We’ll see then.“.

Her voice remained calm but couldn’t hide her seasoned

nonchalance.

The wind at the corner lifted Bella’s hair. She turned to leave but

was grabbed by Andrew.

Her expression froze, eyes complicated. “Bella… You’re looking for a pendant, right? But it seems you’re not making progress.”

Andrew’s tone suddenly became serious, almost interrogative.

“How do you know?” Bella responded in surprise, immediately realizing she might have said too much.

She quickly changed the topic, “What do you mean?”

“My meaning is simple.” Andrew said, wrapping his arm around Bella’s waist, pulling her tightly to him.

“I’ve been watching you all along, never intending to let you go, so your say doesn’t count.”

Finished speaking, he looked down at her, gripping her chin, kissing her not–so–gently for a long time.

Chapter 140 Gentle Offerve

When their breathing finally calmed down, Andrew continued, ” Bella, the pendant hanging online, the real owner behind it is Benson.”

His eyes turned complicated, as if reminiscing, “He’s been looking for that pendant for many years, and it finally fell into his hands.”
