Chapter 170 Conversation in the Hospital Room

Bella handed her phone to Yvonne, only to realize that it was out of battery.

She frowned, placing the phone on the nearby charger, “You’re awake. The doctor said you should eat something.”

Bella offered a bowl of porridge to Yvonne, her eyes full of concern, “What happened?”

Yvonne’s neck was covered with marks, obvious red prints standing out against her pale skin.

Even if they were close, this seemed too much.

Bella felt a bit uneasy but chose to silently wait for Yvonne’s explanation.

Yvonne had been feverish all night, leaning against the headboard, feeling too weak to say much.

She slowly sipped the porridge, feeling the warmth spread through her stomach, bringing a bit of comfort.

After putting down the bowl, she took a deep breath before speaking, “He has been looking for someone all these years

Bella nodded firmly, “He’s looking for you, right?” She tried to ease Yvonne’s confusion and anxiety.

Yvonne’s eyelashes fluttered, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes, “He thinks that person is Olivia.”

Her words were filled with endless sorrow and pain, as if each word was tearing at her heart.

Bella suddenly stood up, shocked, “Who? Who?” Her voice was filled with

disbelief and astonishment.

“Olivia,” Yvonne’s voice was low and hoarse, as if stating an unbearable truth.

“How is that possible? She’s not…” Bella’s voice trembled with shock, her mind flooded with countless questions and confusion.

“I just found out too.” Yvonne spoke slowly, each word seeming to roll off her

tongue with immense pain and helplessness.

Bella was anxious but didn’t want to cause Yvonne more pain. She gently patted Yvonne’s shoulder.

“Alright, enough, don’t say more.” Her voice was soft, trying to bring some warmth and comfort to Yvonne.

Though she didn’t know the details, she knew Yvonne was suffering.

She hugged her, gently patting her back, trying to make her feel warm and safe.

Once the phone was charged, Yvonne saw a call log showing a call from Jeremy at 5 a.m. that had connected.

She looked worried, and Bella couldn’t help but ask, “What’s wrong? Where’s

Benson?”

Yvonne blinked, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes, shaking her head, indicating she didn’t want to talk about it.

Her mind was filled with endless confusion and anxiety, needing time to sort her thoughts.

Hesitating for a moment, Yvonne decided to call Jeremy back. Her fingers trembled slightly as she pressed the call button.

After a few rings, the call connected, “Hello, Yvonne.

Jeremy’s voice was filled with concern and curiosity, clearly surprised by her call.

“Thank you for saving my life,” Yvonne’s voice was hoarse and weak, each word seeming to take all her strength.

Her voice reached Jeremy’s ears, making him frown with worry about her condition.

“Stop talking,” Jeremy’s voice carried reproach and concern, not wanting her to push herself.

“It’s nothing,” Yvonne tried to make her voice sound light, but it was far from the truth.

When she had a severe cold before, the blood drawn was black; this was nothing in comparison.

Can I thank you in person?” Yvonne asked tentatively, her voice pleading.

She needed an answer, one that could bring her peace.

Alright, I’ll come to Las Vegas,” Jeremy’s voice held hesitation and reluctance, clearly not wanting to meet her now.

“No, Jeremy, you’re in St. George,” Yvonne’s voice was firm; she needed an

answer.

Her intuition told her Jeremy was nearby.

Jeremy on the other end was slightly stunned, “How did you know?”

His voice carried surprise and curiosity, replaceing her intuition incredible.

“I guessed, and it looks like I was right,” Yvonne’s voice carried pride and satisfaction; her intuition was always accurate.

She knew she was right.

“Alright, since you’re awake, send me a detailed plan by email,” Jeremy’s voice. was urgent and expectant, clearly valuing work highly.

Yvonne agreed, understanding his urgency; why else would he call at 5 a.m.?

Her heart was filled with endless confusion and anxiety, but she knew she had to finish the plan quickly.

“I’ll come see you at noon,” Jeremy’s voice carried concern and comfort, trying to bring her warmth.

His words brought Yvonne some comfort, knowing he would come to see her.

Benson’s messages to Yvonne had gone unanswered for a while.

When he called, there was no answer. When he called again, the phone finally picked up.

Bella’s cold voice came through, “What do you want?” Her voice was impatient and reproachful.

“Did Yvonne go back to Las Vegas?” Benson frowned, filled with confusion and
