Chapter 177 Steven’s Indifference
Yvonne left the familiar streets of St. George with a sense of reluctance but even more determination.
She specifically traveled to a place called Zoglintai, just to see Olivia.
She remembered the girl’s clear eyes, gentle yet firm.
Just like the thin morning mist on this Journey, making one feel both distant and real.
The lobby of the Zoglintai Hotel looked even more spacious and luxurious. under the night sky.
The golden and crystal lights intertwined ‘like stars, making the entire space exude an indescribable beauty and opulence.
Standing at the door, Yvonne felt a mix of anxiety and anticipation, her palms unconsciously sweating.
She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.
At this moment, Zoglintai was slightly different from what Yvonne had known before; there were no imposing bodyguards at the entrance, and it was eerily quiet.
When the door slowly opened, it revealed an unfamiliar male figure.
He was tall, with distinct and deep features, exuding an extraordinary aura.
However, Yvonne did not like him at first sight.
His deep eyes seemed to hide an almost palpable sense of killing intent and coldness.
His indifferent gaze was like a blade in the cold wind, making one shiver involuntarily.
Yvonne bravely met his gaze, though she felt somewhat shaken inside..
But her face still maintained a faint smile, as if nothing could shake her determination.
“Can I see Olivia?” Yvonne tried to break the silence with a calm tone.
The man frowned slightly, his deep voice carrying an invisible sharpness,” There is no Olivia here, only Elizabeth.”
Steven’s answer was concise and direct, filled with undisguised indifference.
Yvonne did not respond immediately, she squinted her eyes and carefully scrutinized Steven.
Her expression seemed calm, but her tone carried a hint of sharpness.
Challengingly, she responded, “Elizabeth, it sounds like a beautiful name, full of poetry and dreams. But I’m curious, is she with you out of necessity, or is it truly her will?”
Steven looked down, gazing at the girl slightly raising her chin, exuding defiance.
His eyes lingered on her face for a moment, seemingly evaluating her courage and determination.

“Quite spirited, worthy of being her friend.” He smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes, which remained cold.
Olivia, hearing voices, quickly came out, wrapped in a coat, standing protectively in front of Yvonne.
Her eyes were filled with worry and tension, her body trembling slightly.
Steven’s gaze darkened, seemingly displeased with her reaction.
After all, for the past seven years since he brought her back, she had never mentioned Las Vegas, as if she had forgotten about it.
Seeing her so agitated now, his feelings were complex, with a hint of displeasure but also a trace of inexplicable comfort.
Of course, he hadn’t seen such an expressive look on her face for a long time.
Yvonne gently held her hand, her voice soft yet firm, “It’s okay, seeing you, I will come to see you.
Olivia’s eyes moistened, tears welling up, her hand tightly gripping Yvonne’s, as if holding onto the only lifeline.
Steven watched her, young but with some strength, feeling a touch of
“I want to talk to her.” Olivia’s voice trembled slightly but carried a hint of resolve.
Steven nodded, stepping aside, “Come in
Zoglintal’s largest presidential suite in St. George was somewhat extravagant.
The foyer, the large living room, and the reception room, every corner exuded luxury and refinement.
The furniture was classical and elegant, with famous paintings on the walls and soft, thick carpets.
Yvonne walked in, feeling as if she had entered a different world.
Steven led them to a classic tea room, decorated elegantly, with landscape paintings on the walls and exquisite tea s
Steven sat at the antique tea table, starting to boil water, his movements skillful and elegant, as if performing a tea ceremony.
“Was the fire in the villa related to you?” Steven looked up, his tone calm but with a hint of intimidation.
“Yes.” Yvonne answered without hesitation, her voice clear and firm.
“If she didn’t come out of the villa, with so many people guarding her, I couldn’t see clearly and couldn’t be sure it was her.”
Steven smiled, a.trace of approval flashing in his eyes as he glanced at Olivia.
“Quite tacit, without her cooperation, the fire wouldn’t have started.”
Olivia’s face slightly changed, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.
Her heart

hard; no matter how many years passed, it wouldn’t soften, she still wanted to leave.
Steven couldn’t help but feel a bit helpless; these two were truly the smartest girls in Las Vegas back then.
The former top two in the state exams, their relationship was so good that people thought they were twins.
Yvonne and Olivia’s tacit understanding surprised and frustrated him.
The water boiled, and Steven began brewing ten, his movements elegant and skillful, the fragrance of tea filling the off, making the entire room filled with a
faint tea aroma.
Yvonne lightly tapped the table with her fingers, her eyes showing calmness.
and determination.
“Mr. Steven, since you’ve said this much I’ll be straightforward too. She is not Elizabeth, she is Olivia, and her life should be her choice. If she wants to leave you, I will definitely help her.”
Yvonne’s tone was firm, her eyes reflecting an unyielding determination.
Steven chuckled, his voice carrying a hint of sarcası It’s my first time meeting a straightforward girl, quite interesting.”
“She is now my wife.” Steven’s voice was deep and authoritative, implying that taking her away wouldn’t be easy.
“Even if that person is your husband, the Taylor family is quite reputable… but. for his wife’s best friend, would he take risks and be against me?”
Steven’s gaze was cold and threatening, seemingly testing her limits.
Olivia’s face turned pale, her eyes filled with worry and unease, trembling slightly, her hand tightly holding Yvonne’s.
She now somewhat understood what she meant.
A best friend might not take such a big risk, but what about “someone in the
heart“?
Olivia suddenly understood Benson’s words, “I owe you a life, without
hesitation.”
Her heart was filled with complex emotions, both touched and deeply worried.
But… if she really did this, Yvonne and he would be completely over.
Olivia’s heart was filled with conflict and unease; she looked at Yvonne, her eyes full of worry and helplessness.
“Yvonne…” her voice was weak and trembling, her eyes showing a hint of pleading.

Growing up together, going to school together.
Their birthdays were only five days apart, familiar with each other to the point that a glance would tell what the other was thinking.
Yvonne held her hand, comforting her with a pat, her eyes showing
determination and gentleness.
“The tea is unnecessary. No matter what method I use, you can’t imagine it, and you can’t guard against it.”
Yvonne stood up, her aura not losing at all, her eyes filled with determination and confidence.
“Alright, Mr. Steven, we… have a long future ahead.”
