Chapter 58

Rachel leaned against the front of the window, looking at the crescent moon hidden.

among

the clouds. There was a faint trace of sadness in her eyes. “After returning, I’ve investigated for a longtime and all the replaceings point to him.”

When she first learned that the Smith family was on the verge of bankruptcy, she deliberatelyapproached Louis and offered her help. Everything that followed was just nature taking its course.

She was the only one that developed feelings as time passed.

This relationship that she had maintained for three years was only a deal from beginning to end inLouis’s eyes.

Lucas, who was on the other end of the phone, fell into a long silence.

After some time, Rachel spoke. “The past three years were just to repay him for saving my life backthen. I have nothing to do with him from today onward.”

After she hung up, Lucas sent a Whatsapp message. [Stay away from David.]

Rachel switched off her phone and hugged her arms. She involuntarily looked at the bouquet of roseson the table and recalled the man saying, “Do whatever you want. I’ll clean up the mess for you, nomatter how severe the consequences will be.”

It seemed like it was a little too late…

The next morning, Rachel received Mary’s call while she was having breakfast.

“Oh my god! How do you even have the mood to eat breakfast? I’m so pissed off!” Mary had a hottemper and would make unnecessary noise or fuss as if it was the end of the world when somethinghappened. “Olivia is distorting the truth on Twitter and implying that your abused her without reason!Twitter is in chaos because of this incident! I watched it climb. the list of trending topics! Her fans are soangry they’re starting a revolution! My dear princess of the Johnson family, is this what you meantwhen you said you can solve it on your own?”

up

Olivia was the goddess of otaku. The otaku masses were head over heels for her. Especially afterknowing that she suffered, they were eager to stand up for Olivia and uphold justice for her.

Racheled the napkin, wiping the corners of her mouth elegantly. Then, after she gave

her maternal grandfather a heads–up, she picked up her bag, got up, and walked out. “Let’s just let herrun rampant for a little while.”

“You have a plan?” Mary was instantly in high spirits. She said righteously, “I had long found herannoying. Since you have to mess with her, mess with her hard so that she stops popping up now andthen to disgust us!”

Rachel smiled lightly, bent down, and got into the car. “Rest assured.”

Mary suddenly appeared at the company when it was nearing afternoon.

“Why did you come?” Watching Mary, who had suddenly appeared, a faint smile appeared on Rachel’sface. She shut the file on her desk and watched Mary, who was looking up and

down in all directions

“Of course, it’s to chat and have a meal with you while I’m at it.” Mary casually tossed the Hermeshandbag on the sofa. Her high heels clicked as she approached Rachel. There were sparks ofexcitement burning in her eyes. “You haven’t told me how you would deal with that bitch! Since Ilearned that you would deal with her, I was so excited that I couldn’t even eat!”

Rachel was speechless.

Seeing that Rachel was indifferent, Mary swiftly helped her pack her things and held

Rachel’s arm as she brought Rachel out. “Go go go, let’s talk while eating. My treat!”

Mary drove Rachel in her new favorite car, and soon they arrived at a restaurant that served foreigncuisine.

Both of them took off their shoes and sat crossed–legged on the tatami. They spoke as they

ate.

During the meal, Rachel’s phone rang suddenly. She saw that it was David Jones who was calling.

“Did you see the trending topic on Twitter?” Rachel heard the man’s mesmerizing voice through thephone.

Rachel responded, “They’ve gone.”
