Billionaire's Regret -
Chapter 26:
Aaron had gone to bed with a splitting headache. The sudden sounds of drums echoing in his mind startle him awake. His eyes seem to look through haziness. As he roll onto his back he has the sudden impression someone stood looking at him from the door. "Annie ..." he calls puzzle. He didn't receive an answer. He tried to wipes the haziness from his eyes. "What the fuck is happening to me?" he asks himself. He slowly moved into a sitting position. "Follow," the soft yet distorted voice whispers.
"Who are you?" he asks as he was getting of the bed. He looks around uncertain. He doesn't know the hour of the night. He only feels he should follow the shadow at the door. He quickly looks around in the bedroom. "I should replace a way to sleep with Annie."
Just after the words left his mouth something caught and draws his attention. He focuses on the door again. "What do you want from me?"
Annie suddenly found herself alert. She quickly looks at Leonardo but he was still sound asleep. She just instinctively knows that Aaron might be in trouble. Pulling on her sweatpants and sneakers she carefully left the bedroom. She quickly walked towards the bedroom where Aaron was staying.
"Aaron, she called softly. She searched for the light against the wall. The moment it's on she her breathe caught in her throat. The bedroom was a mess and there was no sign of him. She quickly searched for a clock. Her heart nearly stopped when she realized it was close to midnight.
"The storyline about Cowan's Cove is true." She said. She noticed the moon through the open curtains. "I should hurry," she whispers.
"Annie is that you"
Aaron found himself walking down a narrowed hall. He keeps his eyes on the figure moving just ahead of him. He found himself at the top of some stairs looking back worried if he should go down. Yet the thought that Annie was calling him makes him start to move downwards.
"I am coming,"
Annie rushed towards the stairs. In the research of her book she has learned that's the only way out of here. Once he was in the basement he might be trapped.
"Aaron, wait for me." She called from the top of her lungs. She was sprinting to reach the stairs. Rushing downwards she grabbed hold of his arm just as he was about to enter the spacious yet water filled room.
"Stop Aaron,"
"What," he looked confused. The haziness was clearing from his eyes. He looks at her but the start of the siren calling makes him look forward again. He was moving.
"Aaron," she calls his name loud letting it echoing around the place. Her fingers grips around his arm forcing him to look back at her. She moved forward and kissed him deeply. Once he was responding pulling her bodily against him she start to move backwards.
"Aaron I love you. I love you. Follow me," she said softly making her way up the stairs.
The siren suddenly in tune with her voice sings the song accordingly.
"Aaron hurry, we need to go." Annie holds her hands waiting for him to take it. The moment his hand slipped around hers she was pulling him fast behind her. They both were running down the hall. "Where are we going Annie?"
Without answering she just step into her bedroom and closed the door. She anxiously watched the clock knowing she only have a minute or two. Removing her clothes she watched as he was following her lead. "Annie ..."
"Aaron," she holds out her arms. He pulls her against him. His mouth claims her in a very heated kiss that makes her breathe lodge in her throat. She kissed him back with a hunger that quickly drives the heat between them to a boiling point. "Annie..." he claims her mouth again.
"I am here," she whispers.
He lands on the bed with her beside him just looking at her for a moment. He was seeing the young innocent girl he had married years ago. He kisses her again as his hand slipping over her ribcage before softly burningly brushing over the fullness of her breasts. His lips warmly travel down her arched neck where his tongue was playing in the hollow of her neck.
"Hmm..." she whispers has her hands ruffles his hair.
Aaron was kissing down the middle of her stomach. His warm wet tongues now play around the small birthmark on her hip. He senses the powerful urge to claim her right there and then. He has the definite sense he might lose her. "Mammy..." Annie and Aaron felt like cold water being dumped on their overheated senses. He carefully rolls from her trying to conceal her semi nakedness. As he quickly looks between his son and his mother he found her grinning. "What's so funny," he whispers.
Annie slipped from under him and pulled on her bathrobe. She quickly walked closer to her son before wordlessly picking him up. "I am right back." She smiles winking at him. She was immensely relieved that the hour of danger has past. "While I am putting him back in bed, take a quick but serious look at that book sitting on the corner of my table."
"Miss Annie,"
"Is something wrong Claude?" she quickly moved closer to him.
"I heard the siren calling. Is everything okay?" the sea guardian asks very concerned.
"Bella Jean sang her song."
"Is Aaron okay?"
"I reached him in time."
"Did you confess emotions to him that you did not intend too?"
"I did Claude. I wasn't ready but it was my truth. Will she sing again?"
"She will. You have voice your heart's desire." Claude looks very concerned.
"What are you two talking about?" Aaron stood just behind them.
Annie turned to face him. She noticed he was only wearing his pants. Her now suddenly heated eyes turned from brown to green taking in the powerful frame that is his body. She quickly realized he wasn't just a business man but actual a man who build those muscles from active manual work.
"Annie, your eyes..." he said shocked and intrigued. He didn't even realize he moved until he saw his own hands framing her face. The look I her eyes pulled his heart tightly in his chest. "What's happening?" he whispers against her mouth.
