Billionaire's Regret -
Chapter 34:
"Mister and Missus Aaron Casey,"
Aaron and Annie are both shocked at the situation they found themselves in. It was clear to them both the circus masters didn't check facts about their past marital status. They heard the laughter echoing in the church once Grace announced the marriage as official.
Aaron senses the fear from Annie beside him. He feels the instinct to hold her hand. Instead he balled his own hand into a fist in his pocket the other hand gripping his cane. He stood his usual motionlessness.
"Who want to wish the new couple congratulations?" Grace asked in a ringing voice that grates the nerves.
"I want to express my sincerest wish." The man announced.
Aaron heard the quick intake of breath coming from his wife. He focused in listening to the fast approaching footsteps. Never in his life did he need to control his every action this much.
"Bastard," The man hit him twice in the stomach. "You ruined her face." The slaps landed on both his checks. The final hit was a punch through his face. He felt a foot kicking him behind the leg. He lost his balance landing on the floor. The people laughed again.
"This is just the beginning, Aaron Casey. Now, get up from the bloody floor. Your wedding quarters are waiting for you both behind the official building of the Damian Estate." Grace said coldly.
"Sir, I am to be your driver." Manny said nervously. He sneaked into the church. He was fully aware of the circus marriage.
"This once just helps me." Aaron asks softly. He tries searching for his cane but can't replace it.
"Yes sir." Manny reached for his arm. As he pulled the man upright, he has the ridiculous notion that there was something deceptive about him.
"Manny..." Grace's voice sounded like a whip.
"Doctor Grace?" he asked worriedly.
"You are his driver, when I say this. Don't do him extra favors. He should learn to beg." She announced with suppress fury.
"I didn't know. I am sorry." Manny let go of the strong arm.
"Aaron, grab you bride. I wish to show you your new home." Grace orders as she was already walking away.
"You should learn to listen when I tell you something, Aaron." She said from the church door. "You are no longer in control. No one rejects me and gets away with it."
"Annie..." he said softly. He listens. It took a moment before he heard her soft breathing. He holds his hand wondering if she would take it.
"I am coming." She said softly.
There was something in her voice that caught and held his attention. He listens and waited until he felt her hand slipping into his.
Manny carefully placed the cane in his other hand. Aaron and his Annie left the church together.
Aaron stood in the entrance of the mansion "Where are we staying?" Annie asked nervously.
"Follow me." In his mind eyes he slowly makes him way towards the kitchen. He heard the quick intake of breath before a couple of girls start to laugh.
"What's so funny?" he questions immediately.
"That creature behind you...she looked like burned chicken." One of the women had the nerve to say before laughing.
"Watch your words or you will regret this." He warns seriously.
"I am not afraid of you, blind fool." The same woman said sniggering. "You can't do anything to me. You don't even know how I look. How can you possibly punish me?' she asked in a taunting voice. Aaron moved in her direction. Something was pushed in his way making him stumbled and fall in front of the kitchen staff. The women start to laugh.
"The fool is trying to play hero to the semi crispy chicken."
"Stop insulting my wife." Aaron suddenly moved fluidly getting onto his feet. He was completely unaware of the murderous expression on his face.
"You don't know who you are playing with bitch." He warns softly while listening carefully for her current position.
"I am not afraid of you." The woman keeps challenging him.
"What the hell is going on here?" the voice demanded in fury.
Aaron listens careful. Again he hears the soft intake of breath coming from Annie.
"We apology Mister Damian," The women said in union.
"Why is this fool still in my house?"
Aaron felt the sudden bodily pushed.
"Stop this." He said angrily.
"You don't get to tell me what to do bastard. I am the Master of this Estate. You are just the bastard servant. Know your place or I will make life very difficult for you and this bitch at your side." The man bellowed. "Get out now." "Aaron..." Annie said softly. She touches his arm softly making him aware that she wants to leave.
"You better complete this cycle of the marriage. I will come to check later." The nasty toned man said.
"You will not judge my marriage bed." Aaron said in growling tone.
"Apparently you still don't get the message. You will do whatever we ask. You both are at the mercy of Grace and me. I sure hope you still want to see your son one day."
Aaron stood motionless while absorbing what he was being told. He brushed over his hair. He starts to move towards where the back door was according to his judgment. He nearly steps on his cane. He quickly bends down to pick it up from the floor.
"Annie..." he has opened the door. He feels the eyes of the servants on his skin. He shrugs his shoulders with the firm knowledge, every single person in this kitchen will regret today.
"Aaron..." Annie quickly reached for his arm again.
"Is something wrong?" He tilted his head to listen.
"Where are we going?" she asked softly.
""I assume the path we are on right now. Trust me Annie."
"I do it is these buildings in the back, there is something different." She said hesitantly.
"Talk to me,"
"I don't think they are meant for us." She said softly looking at the name plates.
"What do you mean?"
"There is a seventh building. It's very ugly. I think this was meant for us."
"Okay. I trust your conclusion. Just this once will you please take my hand I want to map the area in my mind?"
Grace Stevens stood at the window. She was observing the actions down in the back of the Mansion.
"Grace..."
"What's going on?" she moved to sit behind her desk. She wasn't in the mood for games. She has the uneasy feeling something wasn't right.
"I moved your belongings into my suites."
"Why did you do that?" She was instantly angry getting onto her feet. She stood crossing her arms protectively across her chest.
"I already told you I am going to do that. We are in this together."
"I am just your replacement for that bitch. I really don't see what's so special about her Gregor."
"I am wondering the same thing about your bastard. Currently we are in this together."
"Are you really sure about what you replace out?" Grace looks doubtful.
"I am. His own right hand man led me to his truth. Aaron Casey is hiding more wealth and I want it along with Annie."
"What about the attachment?"
"I don't care. I will give Annie her son once she accepts my ruling."
"Then tell me this Gregor; why marry them?"
"Everything about that marriage is fake. I want to know their hidden truth. Then I am going to make them hurt." The ugly look open on his face.
