Billionaire's Regret -
Chapter 35:
"Aaron what are you doing?" Annie carefully looked around then back at her strange acting husband.
"Do you still have your ankle bracelets?"
"No, Gregor took them." "Why,"
"I don't know. Since he has abducted me from the beach house he was very dangerous. He even managed to forget he was responsible for my first disfigurement." She said softly.
"Annie I plan on acting very strange. All I am asking is that you trust me. Do you remember what you once told that boy Ricky about safety?" "Yes, it's an illusion."
"Good. I made mistakes with you I am going to correct." Aaron starts to mark the surroundings He found a teacher to train him in landscaping.
"Annie, I am blind." He begins but was uncertain. "But it's an illusion."
"I am scared." She said softly "Why did you agree to this crazy man's request?"
He can hear the uncertainty in her voice. He slowly moved into her personal space. "Annie..." he said softly. "Trust me, Annie. This blindness is a game. Your privacy is guaranteed from my side. I am only going to tell you this once. They will regret what they did today." He said softly.
"Annie... we should talk later. I discovered something about my mother." He said softly again.
"Okay, I will follow your lead." Annie follows him into the ugly apartment.
Aaron slowly walked towards the double bed. He carefully sits on the side. "I am tired. It was a long flight." He placed the cane beside the bed before removing his dark glasses.
"Aaron...are you going to... touch me?" the uncertainty evident in her voice.
"No. You are safe with me." As he lay down on the bed he can hear relieve in voice.
"Aaron..." He rolls around on his bed. It sounded like his mother was calling him from a great distance. He tries to open his eyes. It took a moment before he deeply understood his eyes were opened...he just can't see.
"Mom..." he murmurs. He suddenly hears the soft crying. He was trying his best to wake or at least get up but it feels like something very heavy was pressing on his chest.
The atmosphere he was in suddenly changed when he felt a cold bucket of water thrown into his face.
"What the hell..." he spit the water from his mouth. His upper torso was drenched in wetness.
"Get up," The voice was harsh and icy.
"Who..."
"Don't question me." The man said with a screeching voice.
Aaron tries to get up but something heavy was still pushing him into the bed.
"Get off me,' he finally managed to said.
"Sir," the stranger question whoever was in charge right on top of him?
"Let the idiot get up from the bed."
"Yes Mister Damian."
Aaron instantly feels the weight lifting from his upper body. His chest feels painful. He suddenly feels him being dragged from the bed. He tries to struggle. He feels the fist in his stomach. He instantly groans in pain. He was dropped onto the cold floor.
"Make him sit on the chair."
"As you wish Mister Damian,"
"Are you comfortable, Aaron?' Gregor Damian asks in a curious voice. The man circles around his chair.
"What do you want?' Aaron still feels the effects of the punches in his stomach.
"I am concern about you."
"Why,"
"We want the same woman but she only wants you."
"Get to the point why you are here." Aaron has lifted his head. He positions his face directly in line with his body. The dull throbbing of his body has him slightly nauseous. He quietly realized that it has been a while since he had eaten or drink something.
"I should be insulted by your behavior."
"You can feel whatever you want." He was carefully listening to what was happening in the bedroom. He feels the man who hit him standing close. Gregor clearly in control keeps circling around his chair. It was the third man that has him worried and curious. The man stays in the background but he can feel his eyes on his own skin. The longer he listens; he can hear his heart beat. It was obvious he was enjoying the happenings in the bedroom.
He tries to senses where Annie might be.
"I have a couple of questions. I would appreciate that you answers truthfully."
"What do you want to know?"
"I am glad you agree to answer me. Tell me who you really are."
"I am who I am."
"I was curious about the accident."
"Which one," Aaron has to truly control his immediate urges.
"Annie's"
"You should know since you caused it."
"Is that what Annie told you?" Gregor sound thoughtful. "Why did she never report this to the police?"
"She is afraid of what you might do. But then it's the point of intimidation."
Aaron fully focused on his surroundings. He senses more trouble now that he was awake. He just knows this man was leading him to a trap that would result in bodily harm. His true intentions won't be secret for long.
"I have prepared a whole welcome speech just for you Aaron Casey. As such, since I allowed you to marry Annie. I want you to appreciate that privilege. But then again, it's just right that you did. You are after all responsible for her disfigurement. No eligible man within our society wanted to marry her."
Aaron can hear the sudden mean vindictiveness in the other man's voice. He searches with his instinct the whereabouts of Annie. Since he was so rudely awaken, he hasn't heard a noise from her. He focused on the circling man again. "That's your point of view." He said solemnly.
"It's the truth. I don't know why you are denying that fact."
"Where is Annie?"
"In truth, I am confused that you seem to care for an arranged wife."
"I don't care about your feelings sir. I want to know where Annie is." Aaron did his best to try and listen but it would seem she wasn't in the bedroom.
"Why do you care about her?"
"You made her my responsibility." He said flatly.
"There is another woman. What responsibility do you feel towards her I wonder?"
"Who are you talking about?"
