Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 63
Chapter 63
The afternoon was absolutely exhausting. Alan and Damien played in the garden until the air turned chilly. Damien decided to take Alan to a restaurant for dinner.
While he ate, he saw someone from his college stop by his table. Tim was not someone Damien had kept in contact with, so the situation was much more awkward.
“Oh man,” he laughed. “I never thought I would see you around with a kid. Is he your cousin’s kid or something?”
“Hello. Tim.” Damien said, grimacing.
“Damien Wright, billionaire extraordinaire, taking time out of his busy schedule to nurture the next generation?”
Damien ignored his question, but he felt the need to make one thing clear. “My son and I are having a boy’s night, isn’t that right?” Damien smiled at his son and ran his fingers through Alan’s hair.
Alan nodded, his mouth preoccupied with his slice of cake.
–
“That’s so sweet. I heard that his mommy is one of your employees… How is she doing?” Tim asked, betraying his curiosity. He couldn’t stop himself from replaceing out the gossip.
Damien looked down and smiled to himself. There was one way to make Tim back off. To give up on his curiosity.
“She’s fine. I wore her out for the last few weeks, so I thought I would give her a chance to get a good night’s sleep.”
Damien actually didn’t mean it the way it sounded. Both Ana and him were exhausted from continuous work and the ups. and downs of their budding relationship. But Tim didn’t need to know that.
Tim’s head snapped up like all the gossip he was meaning to get disappeared. “Oh, I didn’t know that you two… were a couple.”
“Mommy and Daddy kiss a lot.” Alan chirped from beside him. Damien started laughing. Well, if Alan had picked the moment to inject his own observation, it was a good thing. Damien turned back to Tim.
“Look, Tim,” he said in a low voice that Alan wouldn’t be able to hear. “My personal life is none of your business. Take the hint and walk away while I am being civil. If you were looking for some gossip to spread around, then fine, I’ll give it to you. My child’s mother and I are in my life… actually, they are my life. If you want to take that piece of information and spread it around, I won’t stop you. Now, leave us alone so I can enjoy my time with my son peacefully.”
Tim’s mouth dropped open and Damien wanted to make some further comments. Still, he knew it wasn’t worth it. He had to set an excellent example for his observant son.
He turned his full attention back to Alan. Damien could hear Tim huffing, but after a few minutes, the sound of footsteps went away. When they got home, he led Alan to the bathroom. The kid hadn’t gone all afternoon and Damien had started to
worry.
When he peered into the bathroom, he saw Alan sitting on the toilet, swinging his legs. He blinked in surprise, wondering why a boy would sit down to pee. Anyway, he backed out, not wanting to be intrusive. He could ask Ana later.
He also didn’t know that Alan didn’t mind being followed around in the toilet, especially because he more often than not followed his mother when she went to the washroom.
For the next two hours, they colored and played Mario Kart. Damien placed Alan on his lap as they played, his little hands covering Damien’s as they moved over the buttons of the controller. It wasn’t the easiest way to play, but Damien didn’t care. The joy on Alan’s face made it worth every bad move.
At eight, he noticed Alan yawning. “Alan, let’s put on your pajama, and then we will call Mommy to say goodnight, okay?”
“But! I’m not tired,” Alan protested.

Damien tapped on his small nose, chuckling. “Come on. Move your bum.”
Alan scowled but got up and marched his way into the guest room where his bag had been stored away. Alan surely didn’t make it easy on his father. He lay around like an overcooked noodle. Damien was unable to make him stand or sit up. He just flopped around and Damien had to shove his legs and arms into the clothes.
“I’m gonna call your Mom now.” Damien announced, leaving his little body on the floor and walking towards the door. He grinned when he heard Alan’s light footsteps running after him.
It seemed Damien was getting good at being a stern Daddy. He stopped at the door and bent down. Alan didn’t miss a beat and flung himself onto Damien’s back, ready for a piggyback ride.
He connected the cell phone to the speaker so that they could both hear the conversation properly.
“Hello?” Ana’s voice answered on the second ring.
“Hey.”
“Hey, is everything alright?” The first thing on Ana’s mind was that something was wrong and Damien needed her help. She
was on alert.
“Everything’s great. We just thought it would be a good time to call and say goodnight.”
“And? Are you two having a good time?”
Damien hummed. “We’ve been terribly busy doing all sorts of things.”
“Oh! What have you guys been doing?”
Damien handed the phone to Alan. “Tell Mommy what we did today, kiddo.”
“We ran after squiwels!”
“You did?” Ana gasped.
“Uh huh… And we went to eat dinner and cake!”
“That must have been delicious,” Ana said enthusiastically.
“And Daddy fought with some people.” There was silence on the other side. Apparently, Alan didn’t have the best timing when it came to Damien.
“We saw a person I knew. Remind me later to tell you what happened, okay?”
“Let me guess, some woman?” Ana asked. There was an edge to her voice but she tried to keep it hidden.
“No. A fellow classmate. And Alan set him straight.” Damien laughed, trying to lighten the tension. “You remember the conversation we had this morning?”
