"Sweetheart, why are you standing here alone?" Nina quickly walked over, scooping Orion up in her arms. "Did you need something?" Orion looked up at her. "Mom, Dad, I just wanted to play with you. But if you're busy, it's okay. I'll just watch cartoons by myself."

No matter how late Dad came home, he would always change out of his work clothes and spend time playing with him and his sister. But tonight, Dad had gone straight to the bedroom with Mom, and while Orion wanted to be with them, he was afraid of interrupting. "We've finished everything we needed to do, so let's go." Nina held him close and headed downstairs, with Nash following close behind. The three of them sat on the couch, laughing and chatting. Gemma, who was passed from one to the other for a cuddle, eventually fell asleep in Orion's lap.

Orion sat as still as possible, afraid even a small movement might wake her up.

"Sweetheart, why don't you let Mommy put your sister down in the bassinet?" Nina gently reached out to take Gemma from Orion. Though she was still tiny, holding her for long was a lot for a little boy.

But Orion shook his head, clutching his sister even tighter. "No, Mom. Just a little longer, please."

He looked down at Gemma's soft, chubby cheeks, rosy and round, completely enchanted. She had grown so much more adorable since the day she was born, and each day he found himself more captivated by her.

Nina smiled, touched by the bond growing between her children. "If you get tired holding her again, just let me know, okay?"

He nodded, resolute in his desire to be close to his sister. Finally, he admitted, "Mom, my arms are getting tired now."

"Alright, I'll take over," Nina said, lifting Gemma and laying her down in the bassinet. Thankfully, Gemma was a deep sleeper and didn't stir, snuggling into her blanket as she drifted deeper into sleep. Once she was settled, Nina turned to Orion. "How about we visit Grandpa again tomorrow?"

Orion nodded eagerly. "Yes! I like Grandpa, and Gemma likes him, too."

Nina sighed softly, grateful that her father and her children had built such a meaningful connection. Though her father's health was uncertain, she hoped he would have more time with them.

He truly adored them, and they, in turn, loved him dearly. Family was a precious thing, especially with few relatives nearby.

Meanwhile, in the Yaren Tribe, life was equally busy. Since Micah had

taken on Pharaoh's former

responsibilities, countless tasks

demanded his attention. Even

Freya's support, they found

with

themselves working late into the night.

"Micah, I made you an

immune-boosting soup. Don't forget to drink it after you wrap up. You've been working late almost every night for the past two weeks, without even a chance to catch up on sleep," Freya said, bringing over the warm cup.

She watched him with concern, wishing there were more she could do. But Micah was committed to his role, and with that came a duty to care for everyone. If he neglected his responsibilities, how would others fare?
