This was their home, and both of them wanted to do everything they could to make it even better.

"Let the chef handle this. Why are you cooking yourself?" Micah looked up, hurrying over to help Freya sit down. "Your belly is getting bigger by the day. You should be resting, not standing in the kitchen. I should be the one making soup for you." As her husband, he felt it was his responsibility to take good care of her, especially with all the burdens of pregnancy falling on her alone. If he didn't step up to support her now, he would feel ashamed as a husband and a man.

Freya, smiling, gently rubbed her belly. "You're always so busy. I'd never let you take on kitchen duty. I know you care about me, so let's not waste time arguing about it. Have you thought about names for the baby yet?"

Micah hesitated. Of course, he had thought about it, but hadn't decided on anything. This was their first child, and choosing the right name felt especially important.

"I've been looking through some books, hoping to replace something meaningful," Freya said, her eyes glowing with happiness. "We don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, so I thought we could pick one for each. Either way, we'll have a name ready," Freya added.

She had always loved children. For her, raising a child together with the person she loved was pure happiness. Her pregnancy had been smooth, with only a bit of nausea at the start, and after that, her appetite returned full force. Micah had arranged top-tier prenatal care, so she hadn't had to endure much discomfort.

With everything going so well, she was naturally hoping to make their family feel complete.

"Sounds good. I'll go along with whatever you say," Micah grinned, kneeling and placing his ear against her belly. At this stage, the baby was active enough to kick.

As soon as Micah said, "Hey, baby, it's Daddy..." he felt a little kick. "He kicked me!" he exclaimed.

Freya laughed. "I felt it too! Looks like he really likes you." She took his hand and placed it on her belly. "Try talking to him again and see if he responds."

"Do you like Daddy? If you do, give me another kick." Micah played along, and sure enough, the baby kicked again. They both knew it was just a coincidence, but it brought

them so much joy. Narugi

"If Pharaoh were here, he'd be thrilled too. Once we come up with names, we should get his opinion," Freya said offhandedly.

When Micah mentioned Pharaoh, a

somber look crossed his face. He and Freya had been together long enough to know each other deeply so she noticed his concern right away and felt a twinge of worry herself. "What's going on? Did something happen with him?" she asked.

"I'm not sure, but something feels off," Micah admitted, sounding puzzled. "It's like he's looking at me with a hint of reluctance to part? It's strange Pharaoh's never been one for sentimental goodbyes. He kasn't been away for long, so it's hard to imagine his personality shifting like this overnight. Something's

definitely up and he's just not saying what."
