At dinner, the three of them shared stories and laughs, with Nash recounting a few lighthearted moments from work.

Orion was captivated, putting his utensils down and, in a grown-up tone, declared, "When I grow up, I want to be like Dad, have my own company, make lots of money, and take care of the people I care about." Nash smiled, encouraging his son's ambition. "When you're a bit older, you can come intern at the company."

His hope was to pass the business on to Orion and Gemma, caring little about tradition or gender. If either of his children showed interest in taking on the family business, he would fully support them. And if they chose a different path, he and Nina would back them just the

same.

Orion shook his head resolutely. "No, I want to start my own company. If you can do it, Dad, I can too!"

Nina chuckled, seeing the determination in Orion's expression. She gave him a thumbs-up, cheering him on, "That's the spirit, sweetheart! I know you can do it."

After dinner, Orion helped clear the dishes, taking them to the kitchen before heading off to the living room to watch cartoons. While Nina and Nash cleaned up, they discussed their plans.

"Now that Micah and Freya are here, when do you think we should leave?" Nina asked softly, adjusting the water flow from the faucet.

Nash felt it was best to act quickly. "The sooner, the better. Taking care of this issue now is better than letting it linger."

That organization wouldn't stop until they had achieved their goals, so rather than constantly being on guard, Nash preferred taking proactive action.

"How about tomorrow?" Nina turned to face him, their proximity bringing them close together, his hand naturally replaceing her waist.

He nodded. "I've confirmed their

"Yaren?" Nina's expression shifted. This was both Micah's and her hometown. An organization like that was a festering wound that needed to be rooted out.

Nash gently brushed her furrowed brows. "I've arranged for some local support, and with Micah's help, we'll be fine."

Standing on tiptoe, Nina kissed him softly. "I trust you."

Together, they could overcome anything.

The following morning, Nina called Orion's kindergarten teacher. "Miss Williams, we have some family matters to handle, and I'd like to request a short break for Orion He

She wasn't sure exactly how long it would take to address this, but a week seemed safe. If they returned sooner, she would use the extra days to take Orion on a small trip.

"Of course, that's perfectly fine," the teacher replied. "Orion is a fantastic student. His reading and math skills are at the top of the class. Take all the time you need."

Most kids in kindergarten were all

about playing, eating, and having fun, with parents who tended to indulge them out of affection. But in Orion's class, he stood out. His focus and performance were clearly the best.
