CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 1446
"Innocent?"" Ben scoffed coldly. "You took all that money and didn't share a cent with your sister? If that's true, maybe this whole sisterly bond isn't worth as much as you think."
Jamie's heart sank again. She knew that nothing she said would make a difference now. Ben would never believe her. To him, she was just a woman who took what she could get, unworthy of even a second glance.
Still, she found herself pleading with him, "It's been four years since we ended. Now Winnie is carrying your child. If you're truly committed to her, please treat her well."
But Ben's gaze only grew colder. His hand slid to her collar, and Jamie felt a spike of panic. They were in a public hallway, surveillance cameras overhead, and anyone could walk by at any moment. If someone saw them like this, the scandal would be unavoidable. What would happen to Winnie? All she wanted was a family of her own, a loving husband and an adorable child.
Jamie's guilt weighed heavier with each passing second. Why hadn't she checked in on Winnie over the years? If only she had known Winnie's boyfriend was Ben, she would have intervened immediately, separating them before things went this far.
"Jamie, you think a few words are enough to settle everything you owe me?" Ben sneered. "You think your words are worth so much?"
"The debt between us will never balance out. I can choose to reject you, but you don't have the right to walk away from me." Years ago, she had kicked him out of her life. Did she really think he would let her do it a second time?
"Then what about Winnie? And her baby?" Jamie protested, desperation breaking her voice.
"Isn't that your problem to solve?" Ben threw the question right back at her, eyes burning with resentment, void of any warmth for Winnie. How had things reached this point? What had she done to make Ben despise her so deeply that he would even disregard his own child?
She could feel her heart hardening
with the ache. "What do you want from me to let Winnie go?" Jamie whispered, her voice taut with pain. "You call me heartless, but
everything you're doing nowele
worse."

Ben's mouth curled in a cold smile. "Jamie, who gave you the right to judge me?"
He relished watching her suffer, but she had no idea that Winnie's child wasn't his. Despite his bitterness, Ben would never cross that line. He would never touch a woman he didn't love, let alone allow her to bear his child.
But why should he reveal that to Jamie? Only he knew the depth of his struggle over these past four
years. He spent sleepless nightsnet
poring over legal books, desperate to escape the relentless ache
QUMS
He had become the most respected lawyer in Birkham, yet only he felt the emptiness that came with it.
And Jamie?
She had walked away, taken her money, and lived comfortably, never looking back. Why should he be the only one to suffer? She needed to feel it too. That was only fair.
