Claimed By My Three Alphas -
Chapter 36
ASHER
"Would you like to come over to my chambers?" I asked the minute we stepped foot into the mansion.
We had walked all the way back because Amery had insisted that we should. I have never paid attention to the grass or trees of the forest before now, but suddenly, for the first time today, I found myself wanting to see and visit more places as long as I'm stuck with her.
She had an aura of pure innocence that brightened up the world around her and it radiated through her entire being. One look at her and I am trapped. I can't even understand my feelings anymore.
"Your chambers?" She repeated with a daring glint in her eyes. I watched her anxiously, curious of what her response would be.
"I'm sorry, big guy, but no." She rejected my invite.
This is the second time that she had rejected my offers in less than two hours. Was I doing something wrong?
"But why?"
She shrugged. "I just don't think that I should. Plus..." She pointed to her already dried up clothes. "I need to change out of this dress before I catch a cold."
"Should I ask them to run you a bath?" I asked in reference to the maids that worked in the mansion.
"That won't be necessary, Asher. I'll be fine, just on my own." She stood on her tiptoe and brushed her lips against my cheeks.
Her pheromones were so thick in the air that it blinded my nostrils. Just then, I felt my wolf becoming restless. She had managed to set him off with that filthy excuse of a kiss.
This woman would be the death of me.
She pulled away, our faces only inches apart.
"Thank you so much, Asher, for today. I had so much fun." She smiled from ear to ear.
I gazed into her eyes as she spoke. Yes, this woman is undeniably beautiful. Her oval shaped lips were calling out to me for another brain-frying kiss. Staring at her is tempting and for some reason, I am already tempted.
"I'll see you later then." She held my hands briefly, then released them before walking into her bedroom and shutting the door behind her.
I smiled at the door as though she was still there.
My crazy attraction for her is undeniable and if I could grant wishes, I would stop time to spend everyday together like we had done today. Today had been an amazing day and sadly, I didn't want it to end.
Today, if I wasn't strong enough to reel in my emotions, I would've marked her then and there but I couldn't, not after she had drawn a line between our relationship.
I had to convince myself if it was something I truly wanted or a drive due to the bet that was placed between me and my brothers.
Either way, I would have to replace a way to keep Amery by my side. Bet or not, brothers or not, she was mine and I would win no matter what happens.
Her rejection today was a subtle reminder that I need to up my game and do better by any means necessary.
This was my chance to prove to Amery that I was a better option for her and also win against my brothers who were also determined to play this game their own way too.
Letting my hands fall at my side voluntarily, I stridded towards my chambers. I arrived at the entrance and was greeted by the sentinels positioned at the door before letting myself in.
I enter and am surprised to replace Dalia, waiting for me.
The frown of displeasure was evident on my face as I stared at her. I became paranoid when I recalled Amery's words concerning how she had walked in on me having s*x with her.
I cringed inwardly in disgust when the memories of that night flooded through my head.
I had indeed lost consciousness and in my moment of weakness and intoxication, she had given herself to me.
I had remembered waking up angry and upset the next day when I found her body curled on mine and the thought of that night still riled me, that I repulsed in contempt.
"I thought that I won't get to see you today." Dalia whispered with a wide grin and bridged the gap between us. "Where did you go? And did you have fun without me?"
"What are you doing here, Dalia?" I walked past her. "I never sent for you."
"But I'm always here even when you don't send for me? Isn't that how things have always been between us?" She walked up to where I stood and tried to touch my cheeks but I pushed her hands away.
"What's wrong, my Prince?" She asked empathetically "Did I do something wrong, perhaps? I've been so bored without you and kept on counting the hours before your arrival, so why are you pushing me away?" She feigned sadness and ducked her head shyly. Ignoring her bickering, I asked instead. "Why did you do it?" I uttered, one sentence that voiced so much authority and command.
"That night when I was upset and wasn't in the right frame of mind, what did you do...?" I began. "What happened that night between us, Dalia?"
She knitted her brows in disbelief. "What do you mean by that, my prince?" She gave a nervous chuckle. "What always happened between us, happened that night, or are you sad that it didn't last longer?"
I rolled my eyes, feeling frustrated. "But I never asked to see you that night. I never wanted to be with you, Dalia." I groaned in anger.
She blinked furiously. "Really? Do I suddenly need permission to serve you and make you feel better?" She retorted. "I have always been by your side when you were hurt and upset. You have drawn s****l pleasures from my body continuously, my prince, and not once have I complained, so what changes now?"
"What changes now is that I have a woman, Dalia. I have a mate!" I informed her for the umpteenth time. I saw the hurt and pain flash through her eyes at my statement.
"A woman that doesn't love you. A woman that doesn't see you the way I see you!" she countered angrily. "Can she give you everything I have been giving to you all these years?" "Dalia-"
She held my cheeks and pushed herself closer to me, so that our faces are only inches apart.
"I love you so much, my prince. I have loved you from the very first day that we have been together intimately." She confessed. "I will not be able to survive without you, so please, just let her go so that we can be together."
She continued when I didn't respond to her tantrums.
"Amery will never give you what we have. She isn't good enough for you. She's a half-baked werewolf for crying out loud. She might be your mate, but that is all she would ever be to you. Please, don't let go of what we share because of that woman." She leaned in and kissed my collar bone. "What we have is special, my prince, and you know that too."
"I do not appreciate anyone talking about Amery in that manner." I growled at her but she only rolled her eyes at me. "Whether you like it or not, we have a bond."
"And is your bond stronger than this?" She smiled wickedly at me and reached out to the strap on her shoulders.
Holding my gaze, she pulled it down, exposing her round, firm breasts in an attempt to seduce me. I sucked in a deep breath seeing her completely naked.
"I know what you like, Prince Asher, and only I can satisfy you and not Amery or anyone else." she whispered seductively.
"Dalia." I sneered, my deep voice startling.
"My prince..." she answered almost immediately. Her fingers trailing down my chest to the waistline of my trousers and settled there.
"I want you to leave!" I instructed in a cold and demeaning tone.
She breathed in my ears. "Your chambers or-"
"I want you to leave this mansion and never come back here, ever again." I added, concluding her worst fears.
She pulled away and I saw her squirm when her eyes came in contact with my dark and scary ones. I was fuming in anger and I was certain that she could feel the rage registered in them as well.
"F-Forgive me, my prince!" She said in a low voice and tried to fix her clothes. "I'm sorry..." Her lips quivered as she pleaded for forgiveness.
"Now, tell me." I started. "Why should I forgive you after everything you have done? Give me one reason why I should forgive you, Dalia!"
"Because I love you, my prince!" She voiced out adamantly and scrambled at my feet almost immediately in a desperate plea, "Forgive me. Have mercy on this lowly servant! Please, do not push me away. My life is meaningless without you." She held onto my feet but I kicked her away.
I crouched down in front of her and held her chin firmly.
"And it is because of that forbidden relationship that we share that I am sending you away instead of doing something much worse. What you did was an offense of the highest order, Dalia, and I am simply saving you by letting you go." I said to her.
She shook her head in disapproval as tears rolled down her cheeks continuously.
"Please-" She was openly crying now. "It was an accident, my prince. I didn't mean to."
"I know." I muttered and placed a kiss on her teary cheeks. "I would've let you go with a simple warning but recently, I found out that my slave has started growing guts, so how about I help clip them?" I said to her and she panicked.
"You don't have to worry, Dalia." I assured her. "It's simply my own way of showing you that I will always be your master and you, my slave. It is my way of rewarding you for all the years of your selfless service. On that note, you are relieved of your duties - starting now."
I called out to the sentinels guarding the door and they quickly trooped into my bedroom.
"Yes, sir?" The head sentinel bowed his head to the ground and the others followed suit.
"Take her away and escort her out of the mansion. I don't want to set my eyes on her ever again. She should not be allowed to set her foot inside this place, otherwise, I will handle her myself." I gave my command and they quickly tied her up and bundled her out of chambers while she cried out to me.
I didn't move an inch. I simply looked on till she was completely out of sight, permanently.
