"Levi?" I mouthed in a small voice and knocked on his bedroom door. I knew that he was ignoring me on purpose because he was inside his bedroom. I heard sounds coming from his room and the lights were turned off a few minutes before I walked to the door. Since he didn't come out to celebrate with his brothers, I thought that I'd bring the celebration to him.

I stood there for a few minutes, waiting but when he didn't show up, I turned to leave but just then, the door to his bedroom flew open.

"Amery?" Levi's voice boomed from behind me. I turned to face the direction of his voice only to see that he had just stepped out of the bathroom. His eyes held an unreadable expression and just staring at him had me feeling all sorts of emotions at once. He had a towel tied around his waist while the other one massaged the water from his hair In an attempt to dry them out completely.

"I had no idea that you were in the bathroom" I muttered nervously "I guess that's why you took so long in opening up the door."I thanked myself in my hearts of hearts for not letting me make another big mistake like barging into his room unannounced. Shoot!

The fact that i always came at the wrong time is another mystery that I needed to solve. My eyes took in his almost naked body and I swallowed hard as the water trailed off his chest, down his torso. I tried to remain focused. I had come here on a mission after all. I scratched my head to the point that he was forced to look at me.

"What do you want?" His voice clipped and the way he stared me felt as if I was the last person on earth that he wanted to lay his eyes on at that point.

I held up a slice of cake for him to see. My face glowing with excitement.

"Happy birthday Levi, Happy birthday dear Levi, happy birthday to you!" I sing-songed in a childlike manner. He rolled his eyes at me, irritated.

"Leave!" He shunned me and made to close to door but I placed my legs, preventing him from doing so.

"It's your birthday today, can't you be a little welcoming at least?" I struggled with him and pushed myself inside forcefully.

"Get out Amery. I don't want to see you today and I have no desire to talk to you." He pinned me down with hard eyes but I don't take his words seriously. I placed the slice of cake on his desk, as well as the drink that I had brought for him.

"A year older and a year grumpier." I teased. "You're really not going to change this despicable character are you?" I arched my brows at him with folded arms.

"Do you have a death wish?" He glared at me. His thinly pursed lips curled up in a deep frown. He was upset with me but I don't replace him scary to say the very least. If he really had a problem with me, he'd have to s**k it up because his idea of trying to scare me off wasn't working.

"I haven't been to your room in ages." I squealed and made a canon ball on his huge bed. My actions seemed to infuriate him but it only encouraged me to piss him off more.

"Don't just stand there." I called out to him "Come on, let's have some cake, it's your birthday after all." I sat down on the bed and picked up the cake from the desk. I scooped a large portion and ate it while he continued watching me.

"Mmh... this is so good!" I moaned inside my mouth. My eyes closed as I relished the taste. "I made it myself. I'm a pretty good baker so you don't have to worry about getting an indigestion" I announced proudly and held up the cake so that he could take a bite.

"If you share the cake with me then I promise to leave you alone and not bother you again" I tried to strike a deal with him. He gave me one last look before cutting a piece to take a bite.

"It tastes good doesn't it?" I tried to make a conversation when he had taken a bite but he only brushed me off.

"There" he threw the spoon at me "I've taken a bite like you requested so get out!"

Placing the cake on the table, I faced him. "Why didn't you join the party? Both your brothers came down to celebrate so I thought you'd be there as well"

"Not interested." He replied in a monotone but I wouldn't have it.

"And why not?" I challenged boldly.

"And why should I be?" He retorted and made to leave but I blocked his path so that he was staring at me.

"Today is your birthday Levi, don't you have any idea what today entails? It's one of those days that you celebrate with your close ones and family despite your differences." I lectured him but he ran his tongue on his lips instead. "Don't you have a wish at least?" I proceeded to ask "Isn't there something that you'd like to get or wish to have?"

"As a matter of fact I do." He primped "I wish to have you dead. Does that count?"

I discarded his words as though they didn't mean anything "You don't really mean that."

He scrunched his face at my words. He gnashed his teeth and his jaw ticked in anger but I wouldn't stop.

"You don't want me dead Levi. In fact, I believe that deep down, it's quite the opposite." I bridged the space between us so that our body were only a few feet away from each other.

"You always try to act all angry and mad at me. You always say that you want me dead but then you always show up to save me when I'm in danger at unexpected moments." I voiced out, watching his reaction the entire time. "Remember the incident with the guard who had tried to rape me before?" I said in a bid to trigger his memories to that incident but he remained unmoved.

"And the issue with Dalia? You came to save me when you got my message. Now if that's not you trying to fight your feelings for me, then I don't know what to call it" I dared him and his nose flared up in anger. Pointing my fingers to his chest, I continued "You feel something for me Levi and I think that you're pushing me away and doing all of this to suppress those feelings because why won't you? After all, you're-"

The rest of the words caught up in my throat when he grabbed me by my waist and pushed me to the bed. He pinned my hands at both sides of the bed as he hovered over me.

"Why exactly are you here, in my room Amery?" He questions, I could feel the heat from his body on mine. The air around me had gone from warm to incredibly hot and burning in flames.

"Or let me guess. You're trying to seduce me aren't you?" He asked coyly and I am fighting myself from arching into his touch. Just the slightest contact from him had me boiling in need in all places I couldn't even begin to think of.

"You really didn't have to do all this." He breathed out and my voice hitched. He held both hands together and traced my chin down my chest and circled around my breasts.

"If you wanted me, then you should've just said so. Dressing up In such sultry outfits and bringing these treats to my room as an excuse to wish me a happy birthday, truly isn't the best way to gain my attention."

"I'm just trying to make peace with you Levi" I blurted out. His hands on my body turning me on in more ways than one.

"I wanted to thank you and to also apologize for everything that had gone wrong between us. I wanted us to have a fresh start. I wanted us to fix things. I wanted you to see me differently. Can't we he friends at least?" I trailed off while he just watched me without uttering a single word.

"And why would I want to do that?" His voice clipped which indicated that he was still upset. "I don't want to be friends with you Amery. That word has never existed to me"

"But we could definitely start-Oh dear lord!" I moaned softly when he pressed his lower body on mine and rubbed himself against my body to create more friction. I felt his crotch on my womanhood and I almost came apart at the contact.

"Why? Are you affected by this?" He drawled amusingly while I fought my demons internally. "You don't want us to be friends anymore? I was beginning to like that idea." He taunted with a raised chin. I could see the mischievous glint in his eyes.

"I do but you'd have to let go first." I pleaded when I felt my body slowly craving, giving in to his advances and touch. I don't know how long I would be able to survive this.

He leaned in closer "Sure Amery, just as long as you can fight this first and trust me, I don't intend to make it any easier for you."
