"When do you think they'll be back?" Quincy questioned Asher who was lost in his own thoughts as well. They were at the party attending to some guests. If he didn't know any better, he'd say that his brother was preoccupied and thinking about something else but he knew better to understand that all his thoughts at that moment were centered on Amery who had just walked out of the party with Levi some minutes ago. In as much as he'd like to rub it in, he couldn't because deep down, he was quite upset that Amery hadn't ended up with him and that he had lost to Levi. His ego that he never knew existed had been bruised to the max.

Asher on the other hand felt like a complete loser. Not only did he loose the race, he had to watch Levi take Amery away from him. It hurts as hell and the thought of Levi marking her later, didn't sit well with him. He doesn't trust Levi with Amery and knowing that his brother would do anything to spite him, he wasn't so certain that Amery would be able to resist his charms.

Levi could be quite compelling when he wanted to. He was handsome and knew just exactly what to do to win someone over and in as much as he wanted to believe that Amery would not succumb or fall for him, he still didn't trust her that much. "I still can't believe that he had beaten us in that game" Quincy voiced out the obvious forcing Asher to take another swig of his drink.

"If you hadn't run your mouth earlier about Amery and the supposed progress you wanted us to talk about, neither of us would be here at this particular moment." Asher muttered in a deep voice that reflected the intensity of his feelings at that point.

He was furious. Anger was an understatement. He wanted to vent his frustrations but he just didn't know the right channel to go about it yet. He still hasn't come to terms with anything yet.

"And if you hadn't bragged about how well you were doing in getting Amery then neither of us would be here looking so dejected as well. So you're to blame as much as I am."

"I just hope she's okay" He breathed heavily, his eyes focused on the people who were carried away by the music on the dance floor. He wished that he could be as free as they were but here he was, battling his own demons inside him.

"I didn't want to agree with Levi on what he said earlier but is it true?" Quincy blurted out suddenly, picking another glass of wine from the server.

"Whatever about?"

"Are you attracted to Amery or is it just another wild obsession about winning and proving a point?"

Asher scoffed with an empty laugh. "Whatever I do to win has nothing to do with you or Levi. It's my battle so I'd use whatever strategy I can to defeat my enemies and take what's mine." He responded coldly and Quincy rolled his eyes in irritation. Who was he to judge anyways? Even he, wanted to have Amery at all cost as well.

"I'm going In search of them." Asher announced. Something in his guts didn't trust Levi enough and the fact that they weren't back by now, didn't sit well with his spirits.

"Levi won the bet." Quincy reminded him. "And according to the rules of the bet, he has claim to her for tonight. You cannot go after them even if you want to."

"I'd like to see who would stop me." Just as Asher was about to take another step, he felt his wolf stir inside him. The pain was far more different and unusual from anything he had ever felt before. He groaned and turned to see Quincy gritting his teeth as well. They both shared eye contact at the realization of what had just happened. Amery was in danger.

Without sparing time, they both stormed out of the party in search of both of them. Shifting to into their wolf form, they both went on a man's hunt in search of Amery. They tried to trail her scent and the fact that they couldn't replace her had their wolf agitated in the cruelest ways possible.

They ran out of the pack, through the woods and that's when they picked up the scent of Levi nearby. They could feel the pain in their bond and it leads them further into the forest where they met Levi in his feral form. Walking on all furs, they slowly approached their brother who was groaning and writhing in pain.

They shifted back, bone breaking in rearrangement and nails retracting to reveal their human form. When Levi sensed their presence, he attacked them in his wolf form. Quincy who saw the blooded knife on the ground, picked it up and knocked him down with it and slowly, his fur disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Levi went unconscious. Asher noticed that the steaks of white in his hair had disappeared too. He could no longer perceive his scent that had brought them here. There was something off about him but he couldn't place his finger on it because he had been blinded by rage.

"What did you do?" The words escaped Asher's mouth before he could stop them. "What the f**k did you do Levi!"

Quincy's eyes darted to the pool of blood at the corner of a tree where he had picked up the knife and that's when his brain began to process what Asher meant by that question.

"W-Where is Amery?" He questioned while Levi struggled to get up from the ground. The more he tried, the more he fell back like a puddle. He felt weak and his entire body ached in all the wrong places.

"You BASTARD!" Asher's voice echoed through the dark and thick woods as he pounced on his brother, punching him hard till he bled out through his mouth and nostrils.

"Where is Amery?" He repeated, holding him by his collar as he coughed out thick masses of blood.

"Let go of him Asher!" Quincy pleaded as he tried to separate them before they ended up hurting each other.

"He has done something to her." He growled through gritted teeth. "We had a deal." He punched him again. "You promised not to hurt her and now, you had the guts to kill her?" He groaned out in pain and anger and landed another punch on him.

"If you keep on hitting him then he'll die!" Quincy spat angrily and pushed Asher away from Levi before he could do any more damage.

"Then let him die!" He yelled in rage. "Why should I let go? He deserves death and by the goddess name, he will surely die by my hands!"

"Stop it!" Quincy screamed at his brother. His playful eyes had gone from amusement to utter seriousness.

"If you keep hitting him, he'll die!" He repeated. "His wolf is gone and you're punching nothing but his human self. If he keeps on receiving them, there's no telling what would happen next." Asher stared hard at his brother, the pieces finally coming together. Levi no longer has his wolf anymore.

Amery felt lightweight.

Everything was blurry as though she had just taken a lapse back into time. She felt stuck between two worlds. She groaned when she felt the droplets of rain fall on her body in hard platters.

When she slowly opened her tear filled eyes, she found herself in a strange place, more like a different realm that seemed a bit familiar, although she wasn't sure where. She thought that she had died when she fell down to the ground but when her hands shakily touched the part of her stomach where she was supposed to be stabbed and wounded, she found out that the knife wasn't there anymore.

Shocked, she caressed her stomach in hopes of getting a pinch or at least a little pain but there was none and the ache at her back had died down as well. It was like she was never stabbed.

Touching the ground around her, she found the it strong, rough and utterly wet.

"Wait, where exactly was she?" Her subconscious bugged her when she realized that for some reason, she wasn't in the forest as she had hoped. The feel of this place was definitely different from the rough and grassy surface in the forest where she had been earlier. Amery racked her brains for answers and just before she could come up with an explanation, she heard the blaring but familiar noise of car horns from afar.

It can't be! There's no way!

She tried her very best to get up from the ground but just before she could do so, she felt the deep wave of migraine and fatigue hit her all at once. She fell to the ground and just before she could assimilate or understand what was going on, she fell unconscious for the second time, her entire body drenched in the rain.
