Chapter 97

AMERY.

The bell for school dismissal was rung and I quickly began to grab my stuff on the desk as I shoved them into my bag one after the other. Levi didn't return to class after lunch so my only guess was that he was busy with the basketball team. I heard that there's a game coming up in a few weeks which requires lots of practice. Thank goodness!

I don't have to wait for him like he had asked and he simply wouldn't see me if I leave now. If he asks later then I'd tell him that I left because he was busy. A perfect lie for a perfect situation. I finished packing my stuff and scouted around the classroom one more time. After noting that the coast was clear, I headed out with the other kids, making sure to walk beside them so that I blended into the crowd perfectly.

I got outside and made a plan to become invisible so that I could leave and that's when I spotted him leaning on his car, with his hands folded across his chest.

Shoot! My only shot at escaping has been ruined and my cover has been blown. How terrific. I stood rooted at the spot as I watched the other students leave. Luckily, they were too busy to even take note of what was happening right now. Only a few did and those few, walked past us and pretended as if they didn't see anything. What can I say? That was the effect of Levi's threat. Virtually everyone has been avoiding me all day and to top it off, the rumours about me had died down a bit. It also came to my knowledge that the video uploaded on the school's website has been deleted. I don't want to say anything but deep down, I know that it had something to do with Levi.

"Levi?" I scratched my head. "You're here. I've been looking for you everywhere. I thought I'd replace you out here." I lied through my teeth.

"You weren't trying to run away right?" He asked as he slowly approached me. I gulped nervously. My eyes scanning the premises involuntarily so that I don't get to look at him.

"Me?" I scoffed, pointing to myself. "W-Why would I try to run away when you asked me to wait for you? I would never try to do something like that."

He arched a brow at me in suspicion. "You think I'm stupid?" He proceeded to ask. "Then what are you doing out here with your bag if you weren't trying to run away?"

I opened my mouth to say something but words weren't forthcoming.

"You thought I wouldn't notice?"

"No." I answered sharply. "I came out here in search for you because I didn't see you in class after the bell for dismissal was rung. I thought that you'd be busy playing basketball so I decided to wait out here for you."

"I was busy." He admitted. "But then knowing a certain someone, I was one hundred percent sure that she would try to sneak away so I finished early and decided to wait out here for you instead. Aren't I a gem?"

I frowned my face in disapproval. "The wrong kind." I mumbled to myself.

"Did you say something?"

"I said how amazing that you waited even when I didn't agree to any of this." I rolled my eyes at his effort to be heroic when no one asked him to anyways.

"You're welcome. Get in!" He ordered, pointing at the car. I noticed that he came with a different ride today, an even smaller one than he usually does. I'm guessing it's because Asher and Quincy weren't in school anymore so there was no need to do so.

Just as I was about to enter, I spotted Natasha from afar giving me an angered look. I tried to gesture to Levi but when he noticed her presence, he walked up to me and took my hands, leading me to the car.

After much bickering and persuasions, I got into the car as per Instructions and after Levi joined me, the driver zoomed off.

The drive to his house was silent. Neither of us said a word to each other. I for one, had nothing to say to him anyways. My plan to avoid him completely had failed and as if it wasn't enough, I still had to follow the i***t home.

We got to their mansion and I let myself out. "This isn't my house Levi. You said to drive me home."

He chuckled. "I did say to drive you home but we never talked anything about the home I was supposed to drive you too. Stay for a while and go home later." He said to me and walked inside briskly, leaving me to my own fate.

Do I blame him? No I do not. I actually blame myself for letting him have his way with me. If we didn't have s*x then none of us would be here right now.

Clutching my bag tightly, I made my way inside. It was eerily quiet but in a good way. It's not like I expected the house to be loud when it was practically just the three of them living in it. Excluding Asher, making it two. My heart ached for some reason when I thought about him.

"Are you hungry?" I heard Levi's voice from behind me but I didn't bother to look.

"I don't know."

"Amery?" He beckoned and I felt my eyes roll on their own.

"No I'm....Holy mother of Neptune!" I gasped, shocked. Levi was shirtless. Damn. Did he get hotter or is it just me?

Water! I need to drink something. I blinked and turned to face the other side.

"Levi please put on something" I pleaded, feeling embarrassed. No matter how many times I've seen him like this, I still wouldn't get used to it.

"Why? I'm perfectly fine like this. It's not my fault your hormones are going haywire. Learn to put your emotions under control Amery. It would do you no good if you keep on getting triggered whenever you see me shirtless." I could hear the amusement in his voice as he spoke.

"I'll make you something to eat so that you can leave if you want to." He announced. "Feel free to join me when you've learnt to put your body under control." He said and walked into the kitchen.

I mentally cussed, slapped and insulted myself. Why would I? Why did I react in such a manner? I thought that we were finally over our obsession with Levi. It was just s*x, was it not?

I walked into the kitchen and found him prepping the ingredients for whatever he was about to cook. I tried my best to not look at his chest even though it was practically the only thing on my mind.

"Are you finally over your s****l urges?" He asked but I decided not to answer. "I wouldn't blame you though. It's always like that for anyone who ends up becoming intimate with me. It's either that or you clearly feel something for me or maybe both." He stated proudly.

I scoffed. "I don't feel anything for you."

"You clearly do and you know it." He persisted. "You wouldn't be trying to run away from me, avoid me, hide away or be affected by me being shirtless if you don't feel anything for me."

"You're just over your head" I flipped my hair backwards. He placed the bowl on the counter and stalked towards me slowly. With each step he took, I took another backwards till my back hit the wall. I made to leave but he grabbed my hands and pulled me back forcefully. My breath caught up in my throat and I suddenly felt violated. I tried to break free from the stronghold that he had on me but it was impossible.

"Let go." I pleaded desperately in an attempt to loosen his grip on my hands but all possible attempt to do so came back futile. "You're being mean right now and I don't like it Levi. I know that you're trying to prove a point but this isn't the way to go about it." "Tell me that you don't feel anything about me Amery." He urged. "Look me in the eye and tell me that everything about last night was a lie and that it never happened. I won't let go until you admit that you didn't feel anything."

I raised up my eyes to look at him and with enough determination and resolution, I blurted out those words without thinking it through.

"Everything that happened last night was a lie Levi. It never happened and I don't feel anything for you. Is that enough confirmation for you?" I yelled at him angrily. "Now let me go!" I ordered through gritted teeth.

He pulled me forward. I lost my footing and staggered close. My palm flattened on his chest to stop myself from falling. I slowly raised up my head to look at his eyes. They looked hard and compelling.

He ran his fingers on my lips and I shivered slightly under his warm touch.

"You don't feel this as well do you?" He asked, still trailing his fingers along the seam line of my lips. "Well I felt everything last night Amery. I would never be able to forget it even if I wanted to. It has been etched on my memory. Engraved in stone as one of the best nights that has ever happened to me. You Amery, gave me a part of yourself last night so don't even try to deny it."

"Levi...." I shivered. My trembling hands made an attempt to escape but he gripped my waist firmly. "Run away from this if you can." He blurted out and before I could assimilate what was happening, he locked our lips together in a fiery kiss. I arched forward, giving in to the kiss.

My subconscious came alive and slapped me to pull away but when I tried to, Levi suckled on my lips and nibbled on them. I closed my eyes and surrendered into his touch.

Each touch ignited a fire in me that lit up in passion and pure arousal. He didn't stop there though. He kissed his way down to my neck and suckled on my collarbone. I held him close when I felt his hands move up to my thighs. He parted my legs and went further up my panties.

"Oh f**k!" I cried out when his hands touched me there on my center. He rubbed on it in circular motion and I felt my legs getting jelly.

"You don't feel this too right?" He rasped and went further to part the folds of my womanhood.

He chuckled when I didn't respond. "You feel everything and I'm sure that the incident from last night would forever be engraved in your memory as well." He whispered to me. He brought back his lips to mine but just before he could kiss me, we heard footsteps and quickly pulled apart as though nothing had happened and right after, Quincy walked in unannounced.
