AMERY

I finished my lunch and quietly tried to exit the cafeteria even though I felt everyone's gaze on me. What could I say, Levi had gone and declared an official threat to the entire student body on my behalf and now everyone kept on giving me these weird glances as though there was something going on between us. I had barely managed to escape being called a fraud, a thief and a cocksucker. Now, I would have to walk around the entire school with everyone thinking that Levi and I shared some sort of relationship. Why is it that trouble follows me around everywhere I go? And was it really necessary for him to say something like that? Levi was the kind of person who would walk away instead of helping me if I was in some kind of dangerous situation. He would even go as far as aiding my death or anything that would hurt me so why was he suddenly declaring to stand by my side? He had never struck me as someone who would actually want to help me so where was all of this heroic act suddenly coming from? Why was he suddenly trying to protect me? What does he stand to gain by doing this?

The more I thought about it, the more confusing it becomes. Now I would have to hide my face to avoid more rumours spreading all because of him. Natasha and her gang of Brit Barbies were already on my tail making my life miserable because she thinks I have something to do with all three of them. Wouldn't it get worse now?

He won't always be around so what would I do if I found myself all alone with no one to help me then? Why didn't he just ignore like he usually does? Why did he have to get involved. First it was Asher and then Quincy and now him? How much dosage of triplet vitamin am I supposed to take?

Is this him turning a fake, new leaf? Or was it the s*x compelling him to do this?

I discarded my plates and made my way out of the cafeteria. Lunch wasn't over yet but I wanted to replace a more quieter place to be with less stares and intense glares. I took the path that led to the school's garden but before I could walk in, someone grabbed my hands and pulled me towards the direction of the ladies restroom.

I was too stunned to speak when I realized that it was none other than Levi. How did he get here and why was he taking me with him?

"Let me go Levi." I dragged with him, trying to free my hands from his tight grasp but he wouldn't let me. He opened the restroom and checked through to make sure that it was completely empty.

"What is this madness?" I questioned, completely appalled. "What are you trying to do? Are you trying to raise more speculations and suspicions about us? Do you have the slightest idea about what would happen should in case someone mistakenly walks in and replace us here, together in this compromising situation?" I lectured him.

"No one would come here." He assured me.

"And how would you know?" I inquired. "Are you some sort of bladder control or police guard that regulates everyone's bowel movements and knows when they'll use the bathroom or not?"

"If you'd actually stop talking and yelling at the top of your voice then no one would hear us or try to come here."

I threw my hands up in the air feeling exasperated. "I have had enough traumatic experience for one day Levi. I don't wish for anyone to keep on tagging me and calling me stupid names about something I'm not because of you so please stop whatever you're planning or trying to do and let me go."

"I've already had it with the whole drug and Quincy situation. So please, no more." I said with an air of finality and tried to leave but he grabbed me by the arm. Remind me to get a prosthetic arm as backup so that when he comes for me again, I'd give him that one and walk away Instead since he had a way with grabbing and dragging.

"Let go." I rolled my eyes tiredly. I'm sick and tired of having to explain myself and begging to be free for my own body.

"Why on earth are you actually trying to run away?" He asked but I wouldn't dare try to answer that question. "Don't tell me that you're somehow shy from what happened last-" He made to tease me but I quickly shut him up by placing my hands on his mouth. "I don't want to talk about what happened last night so let it go." I said through gritted teeth, hoping that he gets the message. I still haven't gotten over the fact that I lost my virginity to him and now he wants to talk about it in school with the possibility of someone hearing. Not a chance. It was already awkward as it is and I didn't want to add to it.

He mumbled incoherent words, pointing to my hands on his mouth and I quickly removed it so that I could hear what he had to say.

"I wasn't planning on saying anything about that night even when you were the one who tried to manhandle me." He accused with a serious expression on his face. Was he being serious? I really wish I could give him a solid knock to the head. "You're a sick person Levi." I pointed at him.

"And you're only just figuring it out?" He sneered at me. "I had no idea that you could be so dense."

"Why exactly did you bring me here? And why did you have to declare a public threat to the entire school on my behalf. I didn't ask you to add more problems to my life so why are you constantly doing it? Why are you ruining my life without permission?" I proceeded to ask.

"Because I couldn't stand those kids bullying you. Only I have the right to bully you Amery." He declared solemnly. "Only I have the right to decide if you should die or not and one more thing, I do not like it when someone tries to do my work for me. On that note, if they try to come for you, they'll answer to me."

"So what? I'm your property now?"

"No." He replied Sharply. "This is me claiming ownership for something that belongs to me."

"I am a human Levi. Not a priced figurine or portrait hanging on the wall so you have no right. I can take care of myself and besides, I think you've done enough for one day." I told him off and made to leave but he dragged me into one of the restroom and quickly shut the door. "What in the world-" I made to ask but he quickly shushed me by placing a finger on my lips. Soon enough, we heard preceding steps and voices of two girls that had just walked into the restroom.

I tried to pull away from Levi but it was almost impossible. He was standing so close to me and our bodies were just a few inches apart. I didn't like the fact that he was this close. It made my body react to him in a way that I didn't like. He leaned in slightly and I caught a whiff of his cologne. Damn! He smells so good. Good enough to eat. I mentally slapped myself. I did not just say that did I?

"No you didn't say it but you thought of it" Mentally corrected myself, letting out a deep breath. Gosh Amery, you are screwed!

"Can you imagine what Levi had said at the cafeteria?" One of the girls started as they turned on the faucet to wash their hands. "I can't believe that he's willing to do something like that. And for none other than Amery. That b***h has really bitten more than she could chew."

"I wonder why everyone is so obsessed with her. She's literally the worst and yet, she keeps on scoring all the hot guys. I'm still replaceing it hard to believe that all the triplets are fawning over her. It's not like she's the president's daughter or something." Came the voice of the second girl.

"Right?" The other chimed in. "She literally has nothing going for her. Her parents are middle class citizens too and compared to Natasha, she's not even better looking."

"Well, what can I say. She's labelled the fraud and cocksucker at school so maybe she has a lot of things going for her." The other said and I suddenly felt my countenance drop down to zero. Levi noticed my mood and tried to confront them but I wouldn't let him. It wouldn't change their opinion about me so why try?

"Who knows? She could be giving them more than they wanted sexually in exchange for their protection. She's basically an abandoned dog left under the rain without a pond, a collar or an owner so this might be all they could do, considering everything she's gone through. I even heard that her own father denied her in the presence of everyone." She said the last part in a whisper but I heard her clearly.

"A psycho s*x machine. Amazing!" They chimed and burst out into a fit of laughter before exiting the restroom.

The minute they left, I pushed myself away from Levi and made my way outside. The tears stung my eyes but I struggled to keep them at bay.

"And this is why you need me Amery." I heard Levi's voice from behind before he made his way to the front. "Don't go home alone after school. You better wait for me otherwise, I'll create an even bigger scandal and trust me, it will get a lot messier than you've ever anticipated." He threatened before walking out of the restroom with both hands dipped into his pocket. Could this day get any worse?
