Claimed By The Rogue Alpha Chapter 86

=Matteo==

9:13 pm

I held a wolf by its throat, pinning it to the wall. I had punched the hell out of him and he was almost lifeless now. But I wasn't done. I'd make sure I snuff the life out him.

And so, my hands held his neck like a vice, tightening as seconds rolled by.

His eyes began to glaze over and just when I was about to deliver a deathly blow, someone called my name.

"Macini!" I frowned. Who dared to call me by my last name. I delivered the intended blow on the wolf, watching it slip to the floor.

I was startled the moment I turned around.

"Oh, you recognise me. Good riddance."

Not much of that was the truth, because the reason behind my surprise wasn't this jerkass standing before me, but Olivia.

I growled, "Let go of her now."

"Who? Oh, her?" He laughed. The sound grate my ears. "Nah, she won't appreciate that."

My frown deepened. The fool was messing with me. I attempted taking a step forward when Olivia spoke.

"Don't." There was something strange about her voice. It felt dead. "You're done enough."

"Olivia, I told you to stay in my room."

"And she did," the douche responded. "She did, a*****e. Like the puppet you turned her to be."

"And who the f**k are you?" I shot. My voice uncharacteristically high.

"See it, Olivia. Told ya. The old bastard never changes." He stole a side glance at Olivia who just stared at emptiness. What did he do to her? "Well, Matteo, lemme do you the honours. Standing before you is Lyons Taylor Fredrickson. The guy that'd have been an uncle to your child."

"What nonsense."

"But there's a lot of sense, Matteo. Peggy, you remember her, right? Eight years isn't that much of a time for a xiene, that he forgets things."

Realisation dawned on me in the worst possible way. My entire system shut down.

"You've done enough, Matteo. You've hurt a lot of lives. Today is the day of reckoning."

I found myself in that tight situation, such that I couldn't move, couldn't speak couldn't even react even as a white wolf leapt out from the maze and charged towards Olivia.

Everything happened in a flash. With Olivia acting like she didn't hear the advancing wolf and Lyons walking menacingly to me. I stared as the wolf shoved his teeth on Olivia's neck. She gasped. That sound from her tore me from my catatonic state.

I dove forward, and gave him a backhand. The force pulled him away from Olivia and she fell to the ground. Still seething with anger, I injected venom into the wolf through a bite on its stomach.

When it dropped dead, I rushed to Olivia. No, no, no.

I pulled her towards me, my palm covering the open wound. I pressed deeper to it in attempt to quell blood loss.

Energy surged from me to her, but at the end, she didn't move. She still didn't move!

"Olivia." I lightly slapped her cheek repeatedly. "Stay with me. Stay with me."

Her face was getting paler by the minute, her eyes completely bare. "No, please. Please, don't."

I shut my eyes again, frantically attempting giving it another shot. When I reopened my eyes, I was met with the same thing. No, no, no, no, no!

I took my blooded palm to her forehead, "Come on, look at me. Olivia!"

The douche's perfume drew close. He stopped in front of me. "Too bad that weakling is gone. How do by you feel now, Matteo?"

Olivia, please wake up.

"How do you feel watching all you've built crumble and fall? How do you feel losing everything?"

Amore mio, come on, wake up. Wake up.

"Feels like heaven to me," he said. "And now, to fully atone for Peggy's death..."

I sensed the duff jerk taking off his shirt. He moved towards me, pulling me from Olivia. I didn't give any resistance. Didn't care where he was pulling me to. I might as well just let him punch me to his satisfaction because there wasn't nothing worth living for again. And so, he dragged me to the backyard and I dropped to the ground.

"This is for snatching Peggy away from my Mother, Cher and myself." He punched me across the cheek. I squeezed my eyes from the nasty impact.

"For having the effrontery to deny her quality of life, take this Matteo." He beaned me on the head.

"For putting that cursed seed of yours into her, f**k you, Matteo."

He kicked me in the stomach. I grunted as I slumped to the ground. I had truly lost everything. He hovered around me but I couldn't see him from my closed eyes.

Then, I felt another blow coming my way and shut my eyes open. I held him, stopping him from hitting me. I rather squeezed his arm and wrestled him to the ground, then issued about ten blows to his haughty face. When I was satisfied with how dazed he was, I left him and began charging to the front yard.

That smell. That metallic small of silver hung in the air. It was the reason I'd tackled Lyons. Now, I was on my way to pick up Olivia lest, she got harmed.

I reached the spot Olivia had been laying but couldn't replace her. Alarm bells rang in my ears, even though I knew I had to get the f**k out of her place before the rain of silver fell on me. Yes, the rain of silver. Helicopters were hovering in the sky. I didn't know who sent them. That didn't matter.

"Olivia." I growled, even though I knew she couldn't answer. As the smell of silver got more intense, I dashed forward to replace cover as well as Olivia.
