Chapter 61

Savannah's POV

We walked at the back door of the pack house. Hardwick opened the door revealing a beautifulyard. He led me outside and I smiled when the fresh scent of flowers hit me like before. I don't feellike puking again. But these scents make me relax.

"It's beautiful. I never knew there's also a beautiful yard behind the pack house"

"This is a secret. Others didn't know about it and the back door was always locked" he replied"Locked? Why?" I frowned.

He looked at me then smiled. Without replying he walked towards the small flower bush andplucked a yellow flower. I looked at him with confusion. What is he doing? He walked back andtugged the flower in my hair.

"Now you look more beautiful," he whispered.

"Hardwi-" he slammed his lips on mine before I could finish his name. The warmness of his mouthmelted in mine when he forced his tongue and sucked the hell out of me. I moaned and held hisshoulder for support. My knees go weak and if I don't hold him I would fall right on the ground. Hesneaked his arms around my waist pulling me tightly in his embrace. Our body pressed to eachother as we kissed like there's no tomorrow.

He bit my bottom lip then sucked it before thrusting his tongue again. I tried to fight with him buthe didn't let me take dominance and massaged my inner cheeks with his tongue like he is claiminghis territory and I had to give him all the liberty to process. I don't know how long we kissed beforehe finally let me take a breath. I panted as I tried to capture some air in my lungs. God this manalways knows how to leave me in such a state.

"You are so beautiful and I can't help but kissing you hard"

I blushed at his comment. I looked up and threw a glare while he just smirked at me.

"Where are we?" I asked him, trying to change the topic. It was all a sweet and lovely atmospherebut this man had to change it into a hot and passionate one.

"I told you I want to show you something”

I nodded looking at him. He smiled and held my shoulders before turning me around. My eyeswidened as I looked in front. Oh my god there's a small beautiful house in the middle of a flowergarden. I didn't expect that there would be a house either. Why didn't I see it before?

"A house?" I asked.

"No, a beautiful memory," he replied.

"I can't understand"

"You will, now come” he held my hand and led me towards the house. There was a small woodenfence gate then a small path leading to the house. The area was so beautiful like a dream. There aredifferent types of flowers covering the house. The dark yellow-red coloured house looks beautiful.Once we reached the door he unlocked the door then opened it.

As I stepped inside a gasp escaped when I saw the house from inside. The walls are covered withphoto frames. In a different style. There was a woman, a man and a cute baby boy in the photos."What's this?" I asked as I reached out, touching one of the photos hanging on the wall. The womanlooked so beautiful. Her brown hair was flowing like a river where her eyes were shining as shesmiled.

"Who is she?"

"You can't guess?" Hardwick stood behind me gazing at the photo. She? Who could it be? I frownedthen something hit my head

"Your mom?"

"Hmm..."

"She is so beautiful”

"Indeed"

"And that is your dad" I pointed to another photo where there was a picture of a middle aged man.He was handsome with brown eyes. Looks like Hardwick inherited those beautiful brown orbs fromhis father.

"Yes, he is my dad Neel Leon and she is my mom Idris Leon”

"They are really a beautiful couple,” I smiled.

"They have a good romantic story. I don't know much but I heard some of it"

I turned around and looked at him with curiosity. He raised his eyebrows then chuckled "are youinterested darling?”

I nodded "tell me please”

"Come" he held my hand and led me towards the living room where a set of couches were placedwith a glass tea-table in the center.

"Mom was a member of the enemy pack I guess. When dad became Alpha he wanted to invade hisenemies and kill them all so that there will be no troubles in future. But at the end of the war he metmom who was the daughter of his great enemy. When he got to know that mom was his mate dadwas stunned but it didn't let his grudges to keep down and killed his enemies"

"Oh god, what about your mom? I mean she lost her family” I gasped.

"That's the point. Dad couldn't leave mom and mom didn't want to go with him. So dad kidnappedher forcefully and took her in the Dark Forest”

"Hm...your mom must be filled with hatred" I sighed.

Hardwick chuckled "Right. Even though they are mates they couldn't wait to strangle each other”"They must be fighting frequently”

"They are" he replied "Dad was kind of arrogant and he wouldn't bow to anyone no matter who it isand mom was always stubborn. She would not give in easily. One day dad brought a woman,actually not in that way but he needed her to deal with one of his enemies. But that woman took hisaction wrongly and flirted with him. At then when that woman reached dad's room Mom saw her""Your mom stayed in the same room as your dad?" I frowned.

Hardwick hugged me tightly from behind “no matter what your mate should sleep in the sameroom baby. This is the rule so dad will keep mom in his room for sure"

"Then what happened next?"

"Well that woman thought mom was another woman who was kept to warm dad's bed. So sheinsulted mom and said she could leave the room because dad won't be needing mom anymore”"Really what your mom did then? An outsider really had the gut to have such an attitude like that? "I shook my head.

"Well I must say she had bad luck. Because mom was already frustrated because dad was keepingher against her will and now adding fuel in the fire another woman showed up insulting her" hechuckled again "I really wanted to see mom in her that fierce look"

I rolled my eyes "stop keeping clip hangers just tell me about it" I slapped his arm.

"Fuck" he hissed "fine, mom was already so angry because of the current situation so she strangledthat woman at once without any words being said"

"Strangled? " Hearing the word an instant image flashed in my mind. That day when Daisy came toconfront me I was about to strangle her to death.

"Yeah, that woman thought she was a wolf but couldn't get out of her mom's hold. By the time dadarrived in the room he saw mom was eating an apple. When he asked about the woman momshowed him the window"

"Did she throw her out of the window?"

"Exactly so"

"Wow, you mom is ...... So cool” I grinned.

"Cool?" He grabbed my jaw and tilted my head so that I could look at him sideways "what aboutyou?"

"What about me?"

"What would you have done if you were in mom's place?"

"You want to know?"

"Mom killed the one in anger and what would you do if you were her?"

"I would chop off the body into pieces then hung it at the entrance gate”

Hardwick threw his head back, laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"Do you think I am joking here?"

"Definitely not," he grinned.

"What I said is true. If there's a day like that then you would see that side of mine” I huffed."Though I am curious to see that fierce look of yours but no I don't think I can”

"What?"

He smiled "that kind of thing won't be happening so I won't be getting the chance to see that?"

I smiled at him "who knows your handsome face always attracts women"

He smirked, "So you mean I am handsome?"

"You still want to hear it from my mouth?”

He chuckled "I like being praised you know"

"Yeah, I can see that" I rolled my eyes "so your dad didn't say anything to your mom?"

"What would he say? Dad already knows what would happen if that woman meets mom. He evenwarned her not to go anywhere but that woman went to replace her own doom" he shrugged.

"Hm... It's good. How did they have feelings for eachother?"

"They stayed together for a year like strangers. Though dad looked ruthless from outside, he lovedmom because she was his mate. And he wanted to make her his but because of mom's negligencehe couldn't move forward. He wanted her to give herself willingly to him. So one day the pack wasunder attack by some rogues. It was an unexpected sneak attack. Dad was not prepared at all.Because of this the whole pack was busy fighting. The rogues were cunning and they prepared asecond plan to defeat the whole pack. Dad was fighting and didn't see his enemy were about tostand him from behind. But before the knife could stab dad it was blocked. Dad was surprised whenhe saw it but what surprised him more was the person who blocked it"

"It was your mom, wasn't it?" I smiled thinking about the scene.

"Yeah. She blocked the knife and helped dad to win. Dad was already so into her and now that shesaved his life it made him more amazed and he wanted to make her his in that moment. Later dadasked her why she saved him when she hated him to death. Mom said that even if she hated himshe couldn't see him die. Afterall he is her fated mate"

"Their love story is really strange. From enemies to lovers. I think that's the day your mom started tohave feelings for you dad?"

"Hm.... I guess so. After that even if they still love like strangers they behaved normally” he nodded."And then?" I moved my body a little so that I could see his face. We were sitting on the couch whilehe was sitting behind me. I was almost lying on him while he held me tightly.

"Dad tried to put all his efforts in winning her heart. Starting from giving her flowers everyday totaking her on dates"

"It's so sweet,” I smiled. He looked down at me smiling.

"You look like you're getting more and more interested in their story?"

"I am. I mean I don't have the chance to meet them but that doesn't mean I couldn't have anychance to know them" it said that Hardwick's parents died and unfortunately he had to take overthe Alpha title before coming to his average age.

"So you have to tell me about them" I poked his cheek.

He grabbed my finger and put it on his lips before kissing it "I will tell you everything I know. Theyhad a long story and Sometimes when I was young dad used to tell me some incidents"

"Your dad used to tell you about his love life?" My eyes widened.

He nodded chuckling "weird right but dad was my best buddy before Ryan. He used to shareeverything starting from ruling techniques to his some personal affairs”

"You both were so close huh"

"We were," he agreed, nodding. "Though the timespan was not long enough with them butwhatever we had was enough to give me life long lessons" there was sadness in his tone.

My heart ached as I looked at him. Hardwick looks cold and strict from outside but he has his paintoo. Losing his parents and taking over such a huge responsibility it's not easy to deal witheverything. I don't even want to imagine what kind of hardships he went through all these years.

I grabbed his hand "I am with you now. I won't leave you no matter what"

He held my hand tightly "I know. You are here, that's why I am at peace. It has been so many yearsbut I couldn't replace my mate and I was depressed. I almost thought I was not fated to have a mate,until that night when you fell into my arms is like a dream come true. I knew that you were mineright then. And I wanted to take you back to my pack but I knew I could not"

"Hardwick-" I don't know what to say to him. His face suddenly became so emotional.

"Don't say anything" he chuckled. "When I knew I had a mate I was so happy that I couldn't wait tobring you back in my pack and shout to the world that I have a mate. Finally I am blessed with mymate. After my parents left I was alone. Ryan helped me to manage everything but when I walkedinto my room and found it cold and empty I felt lonely. It's hard that I couldn't show it to anyonebut I had to make it hard for myself to deal with it. But not anymore. You are here with me and Iwant to cage you here in my arms forever. There's no way I will let you go nor I will let anyonesnatch you away from me" his face turned serious and there was a kind of determination flashing inhis captivating brown orbs. I couldn't help but feel my heart jump suddenly.

"I will never leave you, don't worry," I smiled. "So at the end your mom accepted your dad finally?""She had to because dad will never stop until she gives in. Nor would he let her go anyhow. She wasalready fated to him"

I chuckled "if I could I really wanted to see them fighting then their love converting into an endlessromance"

"You really don't want them to see darling. Did you forget our story started like that too" Hardwickchuckled. My face flushed as I thought about what happened to us when we first met.

Neel kidnapped Idris and Hardwick kidnapped me. Like his parents we also had fights at first. I neverwanted to accept this second chance but I also didn't have a choice either. Whether I want it or notbut I was tied to him the moment I rejected my first mate.

I sighed "at that time I was heart broken. Whatever happened in my ex pack I really could not moveon and let myself free from those past torture. At first I wanted to reject this second bond butsomehow in my heart never let me do it. Then you showed me what love is. Those care, tensenessand sweet talks and your endearments...." I chuckled "I couldn't help but fall for you at the end""Good that's my motto too. I would never let you leave in this life"

"So this house is the memory of your parents?" I looked around. The whole living room was filledwith photos.

"Dad built it for mom. He said he wanted to create a memory that will never fade even if they werenot here in the future"

I nodded "your dad really loved you mom. I can see it in his actions” It's so sweet that he made ahouse filled with the photos as a memory.

"Oh" He clicked his tongue "so you mean you can't see my love through my actions?"

I laughed "are you jealous mister?”

He brought me here and told me about his parents. How can I ever doubt him and his love for me."I have better ways to show you. Do you wanna see?" He smirked.

I frowned "stop it. Is this the right place to do that? Respect your parents” I glared at him.

He laughed "then let's go back. I want to show you how much I love you"

Before I could ask he pulled me up with him. Just as I stood up my head spinned suddenly and myvision got blurred. I couldn't see anything. It's all like spinning. Dizziness filled my body and I leanedon his chest holding my head.

"What happened? Are you okay?" I heard his concerned voice.

"I..." I couldn't finish as my mind drifted to darkness. But before I could lose my mind completely Iheard Hardwick roar.
