Cold Hearted Mate
Chapter 1

As Louve rested in her tree house, she suddenly heard a sound and a loud scream coming from the woods. "Help!!!"

She quickly puts on her mask, gets her weapons, climbs down the tree house and runs towards the direction of the scream. The more she runs the more she detects the scent of rogues. There are probably five beings, the fifth of them being the victim. She stopped and hid in the tree and heard them talking. She freezes at the sight, there are four male rogues arguing over who gets to "play" with the little girl first, the girl looks like she's ten years old and a pack member because she doesn't smell like a rogue. Louve walked towards them. "Let the girl go and no one gets hurt." Louve said to the bastards.

"Well, well, if it isn't Harou, I have a bone to pick with you." Said the man while holding the girl.

"You have three seconds to leave the girl and run for it."

With that she starts counting.

"Three..."

"We're not scared of you little girl." Said the other bastard.

"Two..."

"Dude, that's Harou, let's get outta here."

"One..."

"No, no! We're fighting."

They never listen to her.

She then lounges for one rogue, kicks him in the groin and pushes the dagger right through his heart.

"Run and hide!" She tells the girl as two rogues start shifting, she notices one rogue running after the girl and so her dress shifts in mid-air as she pushes one rogue to the ground digging her claws in his flesh. Then chew on his neck successfully killing him. "Aahhh..." She screamed as she felt pain in her hind leg so she jumped up and straight to the other rogue who was painfully clawed on her hind leg. She quickly shovels him on the ground, and freezes all the blood on his body.

After some fights, she knocks out the three of them.

"Three down, one to go."

As she running after the rogue in her light brown wolf form, she notice that she crossed pack territory and stop, because she is powerless in pack territory since she don't kill pact wolves unless she on a mission to avenge someone and even, then she only kill the one that she come to kill.

She quickly spotted the rogue trying to kill the girl, so she jumped on the top of him and bit down on his neck, removing a huge chunk which immediately killed him.

Louve suddenly sees two wolves and a half naked man standing before her. She quickly jumps on top of the girl, keeping her safe under her and growling at the pack wolves.

"Hand her over." Says the man looking at the girl.

Louve growl and stand protective of the girl.

"I said, hand over the rogue!" The man said the word rogue with such hatred, but she doesn't blame him.

If she was in her full wolf form he would have shown some respect maybe even try to help her since people only know her full wolf form as Harou.

Suddenly, the girl runs from under her toward the man and hugs him.

"Am I missing something here?" she asks her wolf.

"Am as confused as you are a girl." Harou said.

"Kill the rogue!!!" Shouts the man in front of her.

"Girl, do something we can't die at the hands of such weak opponents, we've killed stronger men. You know we can take them all." Harou said.

"I know we can take them on but we don't kill pack wolves remember?" Louve said.

As the wolves come to try to kill her, the girl runs to her and hugs her leg.

"Don't hurt my friend! She saved me from bad men." The girl says while crying.

The wolves stop and look at the man, by the power coming from him she can tell that he is the Beta.

"Shift." Said the Beta.

Louve just blinked and looked at him.

"I said Shift!"

This time she slowly turned around and began to walk out of the territory, but the little girl ran to her and hugged her crying.

"S-stop scaring my friend." The girl says in a very cute girly voice.

"Look, I'm sorry... Okay, I'm just not having a good day. I thought that you kidnapped my sister Lupe here, I've been looking for her all day and when I finally found her all day. And when I finally found her, she's with a bloody rough near a dead body... Again, I'm sorry." The Beta said pointing at the girl.

"Wanna meet my mommy?"

The girl asked her with cute puppy dog eyes, how can she say no to that face?

"Come on! Let's go to the pack house, so I can at least thank you for saving my little sister's life. You can get freshened up and get something to eat. I promise no one will hurt you. I'll talk to my Alpha to let you stay at the pack house. Maybe, even join the pack if you want... I am just really grateful." Said Dolf.

Louve decided to go with them. They walked for almost fifty minutes with Lupe's brother in front of the two wolves on either side of her and Lupe peacefully lying on her back.

They reached a beautiful mansion. Dolf, who she found out is Beta, and Lupe's big brother gave her some clothes to wear as they waited for Alpha to come. She hasn't said a word since she shifted into human and she's just quiet.

As she sits on the chair in the Alpha's office, she suddenly smells the most mouth-watering smell of fresh pine and pure male masculinity along with some cologne.

Louve turned and met a handsome god of man with mesmerising blue eyes.

One thing kept replaying over and over in her mind and that was "Mate".

"Mate!!!" Harou screamed in her head. She believes she found him, after so long.

He looks so fierce, very handsome and with a masculine body.

"I can't believe, I actually have a real mate." Louve think to herself as she smile at him.

But she dropped as she realised that he is not smiling, he doesn't look happy at all. He looks more annoyed than happy, more like he isn't interested in her and he really doesn't wanna do this, like he has better things to do. "What were you doing in my territory rogue?" He said with a cold voice while looking at me.

"I was chasing a rogue." Louve answer him while looking at the ground.

"And why is it exactly that you were chasing your fellow rogue?"

"I was trying to help the little girl, she was screaming for help." Louve answered.

"What's your name? How did you manage to kill that rogue, you look so weak and timid."

"My name is Louve, Sir I guess I was just high on adrenaline." She answered a little offended like seriously who is he calling her weak?

"Louve, I hope you won't cause any trouble while you staying here. You wouldn't wanna know the consequences, so just behave yourself. Are we clear on that?"

He said her name and Louve swear that her name never sounded so good like that. All she did was nod.

"I'll tell May to get the guest room ready for you and again don't forget, behave yourself. I'm doing this as a favour for Dolf, one wrong move and you'll be out of here before you can say sorry." He said as he started going out the door.

"Wait!" Louve said without a second thought as she grabbed his arm, she felt sparks when she touched him.

"Don't touch me!" He shouted as he snarled at her.

"Don't you feel it?" Louve asked him with sadness in her eyes.

"Feel what?" He asked and frowned.

"Don't you feel the mate bond between us?" She answered.

"Are you in some way insinuating that I am your mate?" He asked her, looking offended.

Louve just looked at him not knowing what to do.

"Look bitch, I'm not your mate. I'm only letting you stay here as a favour to my Beta, nothing else okay?"

"Are you rejecting me?" Louve asked him with tears in her eyes.

She can't lose him, she knows she just met him but he is her mate. She doesn't have another mate just him, she doesn't even have a family.

"P-please don't do this to me." She begged him.

"I'm not rejecting you, because I'm not your mate, okay? Get that to your thick head and tell whoever that sent you that it's not working, tssk!" He annoyingly said.

"I don't know what you talking about nobody sent me, I swear." She said.

"Listen here bitch; I'm not your mate, whatever magic trick this is cut it out! Go and replace another Alpha to make a fool of, so you can become Luna, not me."

"But I am just going to leave your territory now. I'm sorry you don't believe me. I swear I am your mate; I just wanted you to admit it. It's okay if you want to deny it; at least now I know I have a mate that's good enough for me. I won't tell anyone about us. Since, that's what you want... Mate."

Louve cried as she walked out of the door.
