Cold Hearted Mate -
Chapter 2
She ran and ran till she collapsed on the ground somewhere around the forest. Her body felt heavy as she tried to move, so she just stayed on the ground wallowing in self pitty. Her mate's voice was the last thing she heard before everything went black. Louve was still half sleep as she woke up from her sleep in the morning.
"What a nightmare!" She said to herself.
"What happened to your nightmare?"
"My dumbass mate denied me as his mate, but it's his loss. Wait, who spoke, I live alone?"
That's when she opened her eyes wide and scanned the room. Sure enough there was someone standing by the door, and not just anyone, it was supposed her mate, the one who denied her.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"Did you just ask me how I feel? I feel like my mate just denied me and my wolf and then proceed to call me a bitch. In other words, I couldn't be happier." She said sarcasm and anger dripping out of her voice.
"Hey, don't shout at me, it's not my fault that I didn't believe you." He said as if we were talking about the weather.
"So, whose fault is it then? Is it my fault? Is it because I'm a rogue is that it?" She asked anger easily detected from her words.
"Well, it's not like I dreamed of being mates with rogue, okay?"
"Well, it's not like I dreamed of being mates with an asshole! And I definitely did not ask to be a rogue."
"You will not insult me nor will you raise your voice at me!" He yelled at her angrily.
She was taken aback by his yelling but that didn't stop her.
So, she looked at him in the eyes and said, "Or what?"
Next thing she knows he grabs her by her hair and drags her through the hallway with a screaming at him to let her go.
"Let me go!"
He just continues dragging her across the house while grabbing her hair.
By the time he stops, she already crying and her body hurts, her head and everything hurts. All of a sudden she lifted up and fling to the wall. Her shoulder gets dislocated on the impact as she painfully crash into the wall.
"You will learn to respect me!" He said as he locked the door of the tiny room; smaller than a bathroom, she barely can't move or do anything here.
"This should teach you a lesson!" He said to her.
"You should feel right at home; this is where we welcome rogues to my territory!"
At the exact moment as the words left his mouth, she smelt the blood and rotten flesh in the room. More importantly, she felt the burning of her whole body as she realised that the whole room was made of silver.
Louve could tolerate the burn of silver in most cases that is if she at her full strength and with a lot of help from Harou, but now that she is weak and Harou is licking her wounds, and a heartbroken she experiencing, a whole other world of pain. He doesn't care about me or my health.
The more she moved the worse the burning got all she could do was stand still as her body was burning in hell fire.
She yelled for her so called mate begged and pleaded him to let her out but all he did and say that it's for her own good and he left her in there burning up and being suffocated by her own body.
"I can't believe he would put me in such pain just for raising my voice and being angry at him."
It was even more unbearable when she heard her wolf screaming out of pain in her head, making her whole head buzz as she screams echoed in the walls, giving her a migraine.
The burning pain she felt was nothing to the pain she felt as Harou clawed at her from within her body trying to get out.
The more she tried struggling and escaping the room, the more she felt the burning feeling which meant the more she scratched her skin from within; resulting to hold her head to stop the pain which caused the silver to burn her skin more.
No matter what she did it got worse.
She could feel herself shedding flesh as she bathe in her own blood, the horrible smell of the cell causing her to get nostalgic. Then she started to feel like the walls were slowly caving in on her.
"I've always wished for a mate but at this very moment, I remember my mother's words when she told me to be careful what I wished for, I really wish that I listened to her. Maybe I wouldn't be in this mess." "Aaahhhh... S-Stop pain!" Harou screamed in her head.
And that was the last thing she heard from Harou before she completely disappeared from her head.
"No!!! Is she died? Harou, Harou... Harou!!!"
"Aaahhhh..." She screamed as she felt pain everywhere. She couldn't stand the burning pain nor could she stand the fact that she no longer felt Harou, she no longer felt her wolf clawing at her from the inside, all she felt was pain, pain and even some more pain! "Do you submit now?"
Louve looked up and saw her mate whose name she still didn't know.
"Have you learned your lesson?"
She wanted to say yes to him, she would have said anything if it meant getting her wolf back, but she couldn't speak, she couldn't form any word. She was in so much pain that she couldn't even speak and honestly she really wanna cuss him out. "I asked you a question rogue! Answer me!!!" He scramed at her.
Her tears flooded in her face as she pleaded with her eyes for him to let her go. She opened her mouth but all that came out was a sorrowful yelp of pain, as she was burned by silver when she tried to move towards him.
"I see that you haven't learned your lesson and because of that, you shall stay here until you do."
"Please wait... don't go, come back! Got me out of here." Those were the things that ran through her mind as he angrily walked away from her cell.
She wanted to beg him for her freedom but no words left her mouth.
As she sat on the cold hard floor thanking whoever made this terrible horror cell for not making the floor out of silver.
She shouldn't just sit here and cry about this, "I am going to die if I carry on like this."
At this point, she decided to rack through her brain and figure out a way out of this using her years of experience, she is Harou after all.
Desperate times call desperate measures and so she closed her eyes. She cooled down her body temperature, took a deep breath and focused on peace and harmony, what she seek is peace and peace is what she shall get she chanted in her head. Louve kept on ignoring the pain as she cast a spell on herself; a spell so dangerous that it could result in death or eternal sleep. It took everything in her to not commit suicide and end the pain but suicide is not an option. She wouldn't give that egomaniac mate of her the satisfaction of her doing all the hard work for him.
She felt her soul moving out of her body, she felt the pain going to a minimum, she felt her connection with Harou again. The more she got detached from her physical body, the more she felt connected with Harou.
"I've never really performed this spelling before and I never thought I ever would. I'm not a witch, how I know spelling is a story for another day right now I am just going to focus on surviving this hell." Her soul left and went to where her wolf was. She really hope she is still somewhere in her and not dead, because if her soul travels far away from her body it might never return.
Magic is complicated thing you never really know the outcome even white magic functions better from really dark or intense emotions as for right now her strong driving force is desperation. She hope her mate replaces a woman that he won't feel the need to abuse in such a way and deny.
"Honestly, I don't wanna lie, I don't give a damn about him, he can go to hell and perish, I deserved better."
That was the last thing she thought as her soul left her body completely...
