the creature's momentum nearly knocking her off balance.
Fiona cursed under her breath as the first werewolf charged at her again, its massive form barreling forward with a primal growl. She barely had time to adjust her grip on the dagger before the beast lunged, teeth snapping dangerously close to her face. She sidestepped, These werewolves are using poison claws. They have have been exposed to it to have such immunity! Fiona thought inwardly as she avoided another attack.
Meanwhile, Adrianna struggled to stay upright, her breaths coming in ragged gasps. Blood trickled down her arm, and she swayed slightly, her eyes losing focus. "Fiona, I-"
"Hold on!" Fiona shouted, dodging another swipe from the werewolf. She needed to leave this place and make sure that Adrianna didn't die from the poison. With each attack, the werewolves grew more furious, their eyes filled with rage as they realized their prey was still alive. Fiona pivoted, using the railing as leverage to jump out of the way of another attack. She could feel the heat radiating off the creature as it crashed into the balcony, narrowly missing her. "Damn it!" she yelled, frustration boiling over. "Stop moving so fast!" Adrianna's eyes fluttered, and Fiona knew she had to act quickly. She focused on the first werewolf, deflecting its claws with her dagger, narrowly avoiding its strikes. The beast snarled, furious at being unable to land a hit.
With a sudden burst of energy, Fiona aimed a slash at the werewolf's snout, making it recoil with a pained growl. "Get away from her!" she shouted, forcing herself to stay in control.
But just as she thought she had gained the upper hand, the second werewolf lunged from behind, crashing into her and sending her sprawling to the ground. The impact knocked the air from her lungs.
"Fiona!" Adrianna cried, panic rising in her voice.
Fiona scrambled to her feet, her heart racing. She could see the fury in the werewolves' eyes, and they were no longer just hunting prey-they were hunting her specifically. "You want mea" she yelled, swinging her dagger in a wide arc to keep them at bay. "Come and get me!"
Enraged by her defiance, the first werewolf lunged again, teeth bared. Fiona ducked, feeling the rush of air as the jaws snapped just above her head. She rolled to the side, barely avoiding the next swipe of its claws.
Adrianna staggered back against the wall, struggling to stay conscious. "Fiona, I can't hold on much longer," she gasped, her voice weak.
"I have a plan!" Fiona launched herself back into the fray. She deflected another attack, feeling the force of the werewolf's claws vibrate through her dagger.
Fiona's focus sharpened, her instincts kicking in as she danced around the creatures, staying just out of reach. She was fighting for both their lives now, and every movement counted. With each thrust and parry, the werewolves became more agitated, their growls echoing through the night. "You want to fight?" she taunted. "Then let's go!"
The first werewolf charged once more, but Fiona was ready. She sidestepped its attack, using her momentum to drive her dagger into its shoulder. The beast howled in pain, stumbling back as Fiona pivoted, preparing for the next attack. Adrianna fell to her knees, her strength waning. "Fiona, please-
Fiona felt a surge of desperation. "Stay with me!" She threw her body against the werewolf again, this time using the railing to push off as she struck at its flank, her dagger replaceing purchase

The creature staggered, but the second werewolf seized the opportunity, lunging for Fiona. She barely managed to duck under its outstretched claws, the rush of wind brushing her hair back as she evaded the deadly attack. "Adrianna!" Fiona shouted, trying to keep the Princess in sight. "Get behind me! I'll hold them off!"
But Adrianna was fading, her strength slipping away with each passing moment. Fiona bit her lower lip. She could technically save Adrianna but that would mean exposing her abilities.

Fiona glanced at Adrianna, who was now on her knees, her breaths coming in shallow gasps. "We need to get inside!" Fiona said, urgency coursing through her veins. She knew she had to act quickly.
She reached into her pouch, pulling out a small vial of powder. With a swift motion, she hurled it at the nearest werewolf. The powder burst into the air, a cloud of toxic mist engulfing the creature. It staggered back, coughing and clawing at its throat. The second werewolf reacted the same way, its eyes wide with confusion and pain.
Coughing began to escape Fiona's lips as the poison filled the air. She quickly utilized her ability to get rid of the poison. Sadly, Adrianna is not like her. She quickly grabbed Adrianna's arm. "Come on!"
She had hoped to fight poison with poison, believing her abilities could counteract the venom coursing through Adrianna's veins. Instead, the outcome was disastrous-Adrianna slipped into unconsciousness, her body limp and unresponsive. Fiona's heart sank as she realized her desperate attempt had only worsened their plight.
With ease, Fiona dragged Adrianna toward the palace entrance, their movements frantic. The werewolves were momentarily distracted, but she knew it wouldn't last long. "Just a little further!" she urged, pulling her friend inside.
Once inside, the sounds of growling and chaos erupted around them, echoing through the halls. Fiona's heart raced as she scanned the area, searching for a place to hide. She spotted a small room at the end of the corridor and rushed toward it, dragging Adrianna along. "Get in!" Fiona shouted, pushing the door open with her shoulder. She quickly laid Adrianna on the floor, her body limp and unconscious this time from the poison that Fiona threw. Panic surged through her as she noticed the pallor of Adrianna's skin. Fiona barricaded the door with a nearby chair, adrenaline fueling her strength. The growls of the werewolves grew louder outside. She pressed her back against the door, listening for any signs of entry.
"Come on, hold on, Adrianna," Fiona whispered, kneeling beside her friend. She could see the signs of poison taking hold," her friend's face pale and her breathing shallow.
Fiona bit her lower lip, knowing she had no choice. She closed her eyes, steeling herself for what she was about to do. With trembling hands, she placed her palm on Adrianna's chest, feeling the rise and fall of her the princess's shallow breaths. "Come on, Adrianna. Please hang on," she murmured, focusing her energy. She summoned her abilities, channeling her strength into Adrianna, determined to remove the poison from her body.
As her energy flowed, Adrianna's body began to convulse beneath her touch. Fiona felt a wave of nausea wash over her as dark, black blood oozed from Adrianna's wounds. The sight made her heart race, but she pressed on, forcing herself to concentrate.
"I just need to dispel the poison," Fiona grunted through clenched teeth. She focused all her energy, drawing the poison out as she breathed deeply, willing it away from the Princess's system.
The door shuddered against her back as she heard the muffled growls of the werewolves outside, their impatience growing. Panic flared within her, but she refused to let it distract her.
She pushed the dark energy from Adrianna's body, feeling it resist at first before slowly yielding. The black blood continued to seep out, pooling on the floor beneath them
"Stay with me!" Fiona urged as she felt the weight of exhaustion settling in. She couldn't stop; she had to keep going until

Adrianna's convulsions intensified for a moment, and Fiona fought against the urge to pull back. "Just a little longer," she breathed, pouring every bit of her strength into the process.

Suddenly, the door rattled violently. Fiona's heart skipped a beat. The werewolves were attempting to force their way inside. How could they have recovered so quickly from the poison? No, those werewolves wouldn't shake it off so easily. That meant... there was another werewolf involved. Just how many were there? She couldn't allow them to interrupt her efforts.
With one final surge, Fiona expelled the last remnants of the poison from Adrianna's system. She felt a release just as Adrianna's body stilled, her breathing deepening, though she remained unconscious.
Fiona collapsed beside the princess, panting heavily, drained but relieved. She reached for Adrianna's pulse, feeling it strong and steady. "You're going to be okay," she whispered, glancing nervously at the door as it continued to shake.
Out of nowhere, a sudden, violent wave of nausea hit Fiona. Her stomach twisted, and before she could react, she doubled over, her body heaving uncontrollably. Blood poured from her mouth, staining the floor beneath her. She gasped for breath, her eyes wide with panic as the metallic taste overwhelmed her senses. Something was horribly wrong.
