CONTRACTLY, IT'S YOU
22 - ASK ME NICELY

I held my roaring heart, staring at Conrad. He smirked, staring bitterly at me.

"I wasn't supposed to hear of your presence," he said. I smiled awkwardly. I needed to leave this place before I ran into his mother. She was the worst, I gave him a small smile, about to leave, but he blocked me.

"Why don't you leave Kai and be with me instead," He spits, my gaze narrows to his, and the sickening smile turns my stomach.

"You're insane," I replied, stepping away.

"Yeah, you can say that. I lost a damn project because of you. Now, because Kai is in love, I am about to lose my position. Why don't you just join forces with me?"

I chuckled. So this was it was about? A freaking damn project. I wish I could take everything and give it to Kai.

"I can offer you everything Kai would. Double," His words came out with so much envy. "And I can treat you better, and fuck you better than he ever has," Conrad whispered. "I can make you feel so good than he ever will, I can make your head spin, Tiffany. I know my brother is a workaholic, he would never be able to satisfy you, that's why Amelia left, but if you leave with me, I can give you all that."

"Can you?" I asked, and his smile widened.

"Of course. Kai has his own company, it's doing more than my father's. He is still a director of Winson's group of companies and also the chairman of Hele," Conrad states, and I smile.

I see why Kai said he isn't bright. Why would I pick someone who could kicked out any moment from now, someone who doesn't have a place in his father's company over someone who is a self-billionaire and has a stable and higher position in his father's company?

"What do you say?" Conrad's brows raised.

"As long as I have a limited black card, and our bed is warm, and he cooks for me and sends me text messages often, and doesn't have a reputation of sleeping with so many women," I replied, tapping my phone screen, hoping that convinced him, but his countenance changed and his eyes darkened.

His dark eyes looked behind me, and he scoffed. "Do you think I can't make you fall in love with me?"

I attempted to look back, but Conrad held my chin, focusing my gaze on him. "I can make your heartbeat just like those girls that end under my sheet. I can please you and make those legs shake afterward."

"Bastard," I slapped his hands away, stepping away from him. My breath heaved, and I swallowed angrily. "Stay the fuck away from me, and Kai, whatever we have going on isn't your damn business!"

My blood was boiling. Shit, I wanted to hit him so hard, but I had to remain calm for Kai most importantly. I could tell why he hated them so much. I did too, and I wish I could kick him in the face. I glared at him so hard that my eyes were starting to hurt. If glares could kill, I was hoping mine did.

"Hey, are you okay?" Kai's hands slid around my waist, and his warmth poured over me.

"There he is, is like he pops out whenever his little butterfly feels tensed."

I felt Kai's hands slip away from me, and I held him back before he could probably grab Conrad by the collar.

"You don't have to," I said, shaking my head. I wouldn't want anything to go wrong again, just like his father's birthday. Things were going smoothly, and Conrad only wanted to provoke Kai, I could tell by the way he smiled so sickeningly. Kai held my hands, and tugged me, taking me out of the mansion. My feet moved so quickly according to his pace. Why was he in a hurry?

"Kai!" I called, following, however, as I didn't have a choice.

We made it out of the Mansion and I found two parked at the entrance. He opened the second one, and the first I assumed it was his guards. "Kai, I can explain."

"Get into the car, Tiffany," he said hoarsely, his violent eyes shuttered. His voice heated my blood, and I turned, entering the car. Kai shut the door, one of his men rushed over to him, saying something to him, and I sat there wondering what trouble I had caused.

I sighed in deep frustration. Another man walked out of the mansion with my things and handed them to Kai. He walked over to the other side, opened the car door, and got in.

The drive was quick and quiet. Kai said nothing apart from the calls he had taken. In a twinkle of an eye, we arrived at Kai's mansion.

"Sir, we've arrived," Michael said. Gosh, his voice startled me, I hadn't looked the driver's way and Kai has more than one driver so why has he been the one driving for a while?

I got out of the car before Kai or his men could open the door. I found Kai whispering to a man in a black suit. The lights in the house were off, and everywhere was dark. He side-glanced me, and his blue eyes held mine. "We have to leave, get back in."

I stared at him. I hated how much he commanded me.

"Tiffany," His voice was tinged with a threatening and rough undertone.

"Ask me nicely," I said. Kai's brows furrowed and shot up as if he was amused. He stared at me for a moment and dismissed the man.

He took steps slowly walking towards me. I gulped, shuffling my feet backward. His eyes darkened with a mysterious glimmer.

"What?" His voice was soft but blaring to my ears. My mouth twitched, and my eyes glided on the floor.

"I-I... said—" my face squeezed. The way he walked towards me and the bewitching look made me lost for words.

Kai was only a few inches away, my breath went shallow. "Ask me nicely," I murmured, clearly he didn't hear that. Well, I didn't repeat my statement for him to hear or maybe I did.

A smile curved his lips, and he bent down, staring right at me. "Please, cupcake, get into the fucking car," He said softly, but there was this harsh commanding tone that sent shivers down my legs.

My feet took a step backward. Kai opened the door, "Do you need help getting into the car, Snowflakes?"

"No," I frowned. My heart was pounding so loud in my ear, and I hated how my body acted to his words.

The car door closed, and sat there, my legs pressed tightly. Shit, I was almost dripping. I sighed, biting on my lower lips aggressively.
