A terrifying aura emanated from Lachlan, filling the air with fear. SeeingNora in such a state, he stared at the Ward family like a mad lion, as ifready to spill their blood at any moment. The Ward family's facesturned pale and Chloe cried uncontrollably.

“Lachlan, we don't know what happened to Nora. She was fine just nowplaying with Chloe and suddenly turned like this," Erik explained.

"How could this happen? My daughter was fine all along. What did youdo to her?" Lachlan shouted furiously, as if he had lost his mind.

Nora was surrounded by black energy and even pouring dragon energyinto her didn't help; Lachlan was completely lost.

“Lachlan, don't accuse us of doing something we didn't do!" Kiera saidindignantly while pulling Chloe closer to her side.

"You better not have done anything or I swear I'll wipe out the entireWard family!" Lachlan gritted his teeth with murderous intent.

Hearing this threat made everyone's face turn ugly. "Lachlan, that's toomuch! You're accusing us without evidence and threatening our entirefamily?" Erik exclaimed angrily while Henry looked darkly at him.

Kiera and others also had an angry expression on their faces.

"You better not have done anything!" Lachlan’s voice was chilling andstern. After uttering those words, he dashed away while holding Nora.Was he not considering any consequences? Perhaps not!

Seeing Nora in such a state, Lachlan was on the verge of losing hissanity. Only a shred of rationality kept him from directly confronting theWard family members.

As he departed, everyone from the Ward family couldn't help but heavea sigh of relief. At this moment, they all felt a chill down their spines,unsure when they had broken into a cold sweat.

Just a moment ago, Lachlan was shrouded in a menacing aura,seemingly possessed by madness, making it difficult for everyone tocatch their breath.

Erik sighed, "He's just speaking out of desperation because of hisdaughter's situation.”

Today they had invited Lachlan for dinner and even asked Kiera tocome along. They wanted Lachlan to get closer to Kiera. But now itseemed that the honeymoon period between the Ward family andLachlan was over.

"Henry, pull up the surveillance footage from earlier and send it toLachlan! From now on, we'll respect him from afar. We won't provokehim but there's no need for us to interact anymore!" Gabriela spoke upat this time.

"Understood grandma,” Henry nodded while feeling angry towardsLachlan himself. Anyone who heard someone say they would slaughtertheir entire family would be furious and chilled.

Erik glanced at his wife before sighing again but didn't say anythingmore...

Lachlan rushed home with Nora in his arms while continuously infusingher with dragon energy along the way. However, there was still noeffect!

"Nora! Nora... don't scare me..."

"What happened to you?"

Tears streamed down Lachlan's face as he looked at his daughter likethis; he felt as though the sky had collapsed!

Nora was currently unconscious but even then her small face showedsigns of pain; one could imagine what kind of suffering she must begoing through right now.

As a father himself, one can only imagine how heartbroken Lachlanmust feel inside...

"Oh my god! Why? Why do you have to treat my daughter like this?""She has been fine all along... why? Why?"

If he could bear all these pains for her instead so that she could livehealthily again, then even if it meant increasing the pain by hundreds oftimes more than what she was experiencing right now - Lachlanwouldn't hesitate!

However, twenty minutes later, when Lachlan came out holding a bowlof medicine, he couldn't help but freeze in place. Nora was lying therewith the painful expression on her face gone. The bleeding from hermouth, nose and ears had stopped, leaving only traces of bloodbehind. Lachlan's heart skipped a beat as he quickly observed Nora'scondition. Upon seeing this, tears of excitement and relief streameddown his face.

The black energy that had spread throughout Nora's body earlier hadnow “retracted” back into her bone marrow once again.

"What... what is going on?" Lachlan was not only surprised but alsofilled with doubt.

He then proceeded to wipe away the bloodstains from Nora beforecarefully examining her physical condition.

After a while, Lachlan furrowed his brows! His worried expression didnot decrease but instead grew stronger.

Nora's physical condition seemed to have stabilized again except forthe black energy in her bone marrow which made it seem like she wasjust a healthy child without any difference whatsoever.

However, looking at that black energy made Lachlan feel like he waswatching a ticking time bomb; an overwhelming sense of worry andhelplessness enveloped him like a cloud above his head.

"What is going on? What is wrong with Nora's body?"

"What the hell are these damn black energies?"

This sudden change in Nora made Lachlan realize that he had beenthinking too simply before. It wasn't just about maintaining hisdaughter's health through dragon energy alone; if they couldn'teradicate the black energy inside her body, then there might be anothersecond or third time...
