Daddy the Miracle Medic -
Chapter 203 The Calamity At Seven Years Old
Chapter 203 The Calamity at Seven Years OldOn this night, Lachlan couldn't sleep a wink! He had been studying hismemories thoroughly, including some unconventional and even shadymethods. He hoped to replace a solution but all his efforts were in vain. Sohe went outside and practiced the Dragon Soul Immortal Technique, breathing heavily and deeply.
Lachlan knew that whether it was the "Dragon Soul ImmortalTechnique,” "Dragon Emperor's Canon," or "Dragon Gaze HeavenwardTechnique,” they were only partially unlocked in his mind. The moreadvanced levels could only be mastered as he continued to improve hisstrength! Perhaps then he could cure Nora's illness and free her fromits torment.
At eleven o'clock at night, Lachlan’s phone vibrated. He took it out tosee that Henry had sent him a video message. At this point, Lachlanalready knew that he had probably misunderstood the Ward family;Nora's condition should have nothing to do with them.
Thinking of this, he felt guilty for his reaction and words earlier. Hewatched the video where Chloe and Nora were playing happily untilNora suddenly fell down.
Lachlan sighed heavily before calling Henry back who answeredquickly but with an icy tone, "Mr. Willis, have you seen it? Yourdaughter's condition has nothing to do with our Ward family."
"I know! I apologize to the Ward family for my previous behavior. I wascareless at that time." Lachlan said apologetically.
"No need! As long as you don't harm our Ward family again!" Henrysneered before hanging up abruptly.
Lachlan smiled bitterly knowing that the Ward family now held deepresentment towards him, "Forget it! If there is an opportunity in thefuture, I'll help them out.”
Just then, Lachlan suddenly looked towards one direction where agraceful figure appeared next to him, "Summer! Is it you?"
The other person giggled and sat on Lachlan's lap. "Who else would itbe but me? Have you missed me?"
Lachlan nodded. "Of course I have! I dream about you all the time."“Is that so?" Summer asked with a light laugh.
The next second, she drew circles on Lachlan's chest with her handand teased him. "You really are diligent in your training. What level areyou at now?"
Lachlan hesitated for a moment before answering, "Grandmaster!""Haha, I knew it! You must have reached the Grandmaster level bynow! Did you absorb the Spirit Jade I gave you last time?" Summerasked.
"Yes, thanks to you! You're so good to me, Summer!" Lachlan said withadmiration.
Summer rolled her eyes and changed her tone of voice. "By the way,did I hear correctly that your daughter has leukemia?"
Lachlan's face changed slightly as he calmly replied, "Yes, but I've got itunder control. Why do you ask?"
Hearing Nora mentioned made Lachlan nervous.
"Under control? Hahaha how is that possible,” Summer sneered."What do you mean? Do you know what happened to my daughter?"Lachlan asked anxiously.
Summer narrowed her eyes when she saw how worried he was andnodded slowly before speaking again, “It's a curse! A curse passeddown for thousands of years!"
"A curse? What happened exactly? Tell me everything!" Lachlan wasboth shocked and excited by this revelation.
"It's nothing special really,” Summer began nonchalantly as shecontinued on with an explanation, "We both share the same surnameWillis because we belong to an ancient family “the Willis family.’ Thisfamily has been around for generations and is known for its powerfulmembers who possess unique abilities.”
"To prevent these abilities from falling into enemy hands or being usedagainst them by their own people,” she explained further, "the head ofour family created a secret medicine which every member had to takeevery few generations."
"Whether they were direct descendants or not didn't matter; they all hadto take this medicine,” She continued solemnly, “This medicine isactually a curse which doesn't affect those who take it directly butinstead gets passed down randomly within four generations of theirclosest relatives.”
"And your daughter seems to have inherited this “curse".”
As soon as he heard this information from Summer's mouthpiece; hismind raced through everything he had just learned — The ancient WillisFamily... He himself was related... And Nora's illness was caused bysome kind of “curse’?!
Summer's words left Lachlan shocked and incredulous, but he didn'tthink she was completely talking nonsense. Perhaps this could explainwhy his grandfather's Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant was so magical, giving him a dragon kidney and even a large amount of “dragoninheritance."
Could it be that his own identity was so amazing?
"What happens if you are cursed? Will there be life-threateningdanger? To tell you the truth, my daughter had an attack tonight. At thattime, blood flowed from all seven orifices and her expression waspainful as if she were dying. But after a while, she recovered on herown. What is going on?" Lachlan asked anxiously.
It concerned Nora, and he just wanted to make sure everything wasclear.
"As far as I know, your daughter will have an attack every full moonnight in the future! And it will get more painful and severe each time! Bythe way, how old is your daughter this year?" Summer asked with aserious expression.
"She turned four last week. Why do you ask?" Lachlan askednervously.
"Then she has less than three years to live! If this curse isn't lifted byher seventh birthday, then her life will come to an end,” Summer saidcoldly.
Hearing this made Lachlan feel like his brain had been hit by a hammer- Nora can only live until seven years old?
No way!
Absolutely not!
"What should I do? How can I lift the curse? Please tell me!" Lachlangrabbed Summer's arm with trembling voice.
Summer hesitated for a moment before saying seriously, "The jadependant! Find that Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant and give it to yourdaughter to wear. It can lift the curse and keep your daughter safe."Hearing this made Lachlan's face change constantly. He looked awayso that Summer wouldn't notice anything strange about his eyes.
This woman was lying to him!!
She didn't know that he'd already given Nora the Dragon-shaped JadePendant long ago but it didn't work at all!
Her goal was just for the jade pendant!
She hadn't told him how to really lift the curse yet!
Maybe everything about this curse was also something she was lyingabout too...
