HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
– Mari, please tell me when. – Margareth insisted once again.
– It’s only dawn, for ….
– You promised, Mari,” Margareth folded her arms across her chest, “I thought you were a woman of your word, but from what I see….
Mari rolls her eyes, it wasn’t half an hour since the shy rays of the rising sun had broken through the windows and Margareth was already at her feet tormenting her with the promise she made ten years ago.
When she had saved the little ten-year-old girl from being enslaved or devoured by the lycanthropic beasts, to bring her out of the deep depression that gripped her body, Mari had promised to train and transform her so that she could take revenge. However, Mari thought she would eventually give up on that idea, however, nothing would get that out of Margareth’s mind, and that frustrated the red-eyed vampire greatly.
– Three months from now… Three f*****g months from now! – she spoke in a loud tone that startled the young woman, her muscles tensed in reaction – On that date, and if you ask me one more time, I swear, Margaret, I swear I won’t keep my promise – Mari decreed impatiently – Now go get a coffee! – she shouted, pointing to the table.
– Cer… a.
That was all Margaret could answer, she was happy, after so much insisting, she finally had a date set and that made her anxious.
– Hey! Stop yelling! – Occisor came into the kitchen covering his sensitive ears.
– Sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt your eardrums,” apologized Mari, who knows Occisor’s hearing is more sensitive than hers.
Although only Margaret was supposed to have coffee in the morning, the three of them sat at the table at every meal to keep her company. The other two members only ate at dinnertime.
Mari still remembered how to cook, she made the dishes with great gusto for Margaret, it was one of the things she could still do normally, it always brought back memories of when she was just a human. How she misses that time, before everything was ripped away from her.
– Good morning, to you too -Margareth addressed her speech to Occisor, who gave them an impatient look.
– Eat quickly creature, don’t delay me, I want to train!
– Don’t talk to him like that, Occisor, or you won’t get any training! – Mari scolded him firmly, but Occisor didn’t feel the least bit annoyed.
– If not with you, I’ll train with anyone else, I just need the basics, the rest I can improve on my own,” he replied cheekily, and Mari’s brain boiled even more.
“I got off on the wrong foot today, you’ve got to be kidding, the two of you have decided to torment me, hell!” – he thought angrily.
– Look at you kid, you’re barely out of diapers and you already think you’re a man? Get real, you cheeky boy…
– I don’t think I am, I know who I am and I know what I’m going to do! And if you don’t want to help me, don’t get in my way.
For a boy of only ten, the tongue was too sharp. Everyone knows that the development of a lycanthrope from the age of six months tends to accelerate, but it was impossible for that to happen in a single night, a night in which he spent practically all of it crying.
– Look, son, don’t forget who it was that saved you from death! – he spoke very close to Occisor’s face while suspending him by the neck.
– As if you’d let me forget! – he replied and rolled his eyes.
Mari’s eyes change color, when she is calm her eyes are red, when she is angry, black. And at that moment they were turning black.
– Calm down, Mari. She hasn’t digested the events yet,” Margaret interjected and reason reigned again in Mari’s brain and she let go of the boy who straightened up on the table.
– Don’t let this attitude happen again,” she finally said and sat back down at the table.
It took Margaret only ten minutes to finish eating the seasoned bread Mari had prepared.
– Madam, the room is ready – one of the guards entered the private kitchen.
– Thank you, but next time wait until we get out of here,” he reprimanded her.
Mari hated living on a government base, privacy was the only thing she wanted, but it seemed that her will was not the priority.
The intruder guard’s name is Derick, he has dark brown wavy hair, a relaxed beard and is only five years older than Margaret and in love with her.
Derick is the son of a king, a kingdom murdered by lycanthropic beasts, his mother gave her life so that only he could escape. The government found him and his guardian, who cared for him for thirteen years, died on the battlefield.
Derick was lost in time as he looked away from Mari’s face and stopped in Margareth’s beautiful eyes, the feeling was mutual but she had her priorities and love did not come first. Not now, for now reading was enough.
– You may return to your post now, officer Derick -Mari brings him back to reality and he tilts his head in a nod and goes back to stand outside the private kitchen.
– Now can we go? – Occisor asked as he rose from his chair.
– Let me wash the …..
– You never wash your plate in the morning, is this all to avoid the officer? – Occisor loved teasing Margaret, he knew she liked the boy.
– Go to hell! – he cursed, picking up his plate and heading for the sink.
– Will you two stop? And let’s go -Mari started walking being followed by the other two in silence.
The training room was on the top floor, the base had three floors, the second floor was the private one where only the three of them lived, but from time to time the officers didn’t respect them and entered without invitation as if nothing. The base had no elevator, they had to climb two flights of stairs to reach the top floor.
The third floor contained five rooms, which were:
1 – Human interrogation room.
– Mari not only had the responsibility of hunting down supernaturals, but she also had to deal with serial killers. The government doesn’t want any police officer to die dealing with these kinds of people, so Mari’s duty is to hunt, interrogate and kill these serial killers.
2 – Human Saber Interrogation Room.
– This room is intended for werewolves, vampires and witches. A few years ago, the three races went to war, and this had terrible consequences for humans. The death of many innocents, the trafficking of virgin women, the vampires did it to generate their heirs and the witches to conclude their ritual. The enslavement of humans to werewolves.
3 – Torture room for humans.
– As its name suggests, this room is intended for accomplices of serial killers or even those who betray the human race to make life difficult for agents in the hunt for the supernatural.
4 – Torture room on humans.
– Unlike serious killers, supernaturals are not entitled only to death, they first go through torture. And the only one capable of doing so, so far, is Mari. Each race has its weakness, and she explores each of them very well.
5 – Training room.
– This is the room that Mari destined for melee training. Inside there are several materials of various types of fights. This room is divided into two parts: one for combat and the other for shooting training, either with knives or arrows.
– I still think they should install elevators here – grumbled Margaret, leaning on her knees.
Despite her physical fitness, she hates stairs.
– It must be so nice to climb floor by floor playing with a small washboard.
Margaret has always found the idea of the elevator fascinating, she has only stepped on it once and felt like she was floating, but the government has been unwilling to pay for this construction on the base.
Occisor and Mari might already be on the third floor, but Margareth was walking at a much slower pace than them.
After another ten minutes up the stairs, they walked down the hallway heading for the last one in the room. Mari opened the door and made room for the other two to enter as well. Margareth turned on the light and Occisor just observed the place, he had never been there before.
– Margareth, today you will train the targets.
– Yes.
Margareth went to the area designated for this, leaving only Mari and Occisor from the melee area.
– Listen Occisor, when your training is over, you will have the responsibility of dealing with humans….
– I just want to hunt the…
– Don’t interrupt me! – Mari spoke harshly and Occisor took the floor – The government supports us in the fight against vampires, witches, serial killers, accomplices and werewolves.
– I don’t want to mess with the other races!
– If you want to hunt werewolves you will, if not, you will also be hunted and accused of being an accomplice to vampires and witches.
– Shame on you!
– Watch what you say!
– I’m not a child anymore, Mari.
– Then be a gentleman and respect the ladies here present.
Occisor in response rolled his eyes, his rebelliousness was making Mari angry.
– Today I will teach you eight-gun combat.
– I thought it would be hand-to-hand combat.
– But it is, it’s known that way because it uses various parts of the body. Let’s start with the basics.
And so Occisor’s training began.
