Surprising Emergency Patient

The simple engagement ceremony lasted only a short time because the hospital was very busy. John took Anna to his room for a while, he still wanted to talk privately with his fiancee girl. The two of them took the elevator to the 12th floor, the top floor of the large hospital building.

"Are you nervous, Anna?" asked John idly.

Anna jumped in place for a moment's thought as the two of them fell silent. "Ehh ... oohh... not nervous, just still feeling confused. Things are going out of my control," she answered honestly.

The two of them went into John's spacious office because it was also the CEO's room of Wyndham International Hospital. John picked up a palm-sized box lined with dark blue velvet. He approached Annastacia saying, "Anna, I want to give you this."

"What is it, John?" asked Anna curiously, examining the box in John's hand. John opened the box which turned out to contain a pair of gold chain necklaces with heart pendants. Then John's hands deftly opened the heart locket and showed Anna its contents.

It's the kind of pendant that can be filled with photos. There's a photo of Anna on one side and a photo of John on the other, it's a photo of them wearing a white snelli coat.

"Ohh this is so beautiful, John," said Anna covering her lips in awe.

"Yes, I want you to take my picture with you to remind you of me, Anna. Can I put it around your neck?" said John, looking at Anna's face shady. "Sure, John. Thank you. I didn't expect you to be this romantic," Anna laughed softly.

Meanwhile, John tossed Anna's ponytail and put the necklace with the heart pendant around Anna's neck. "Now it's your turn to put the necklace on for me, honey," said John, handing her a necklace with a heart pendant with a photo of Anna Anna immediately put the necklace around John's neck. She felt her heart warm at John's initiative. Truly she didn't have any special feelings for the man at all, they were close but only as close friends and colleagues.

John's left hand grabbed Anna's waist so that it pressed against his body and then touched Anna's face with his right hand. He brought his face closer to Anna's and then kissed the girl's lips softly and deeply.

For Anna this was her second male kiss in the last 24 hours. She felt unsteady because of John's kiss, it felt so possessive as the man's lips sucked her lower and upper lips alternately and long. John's hand stroked Anna's back gently.

The ringing of the phone on John's desk broke the long kiss. He walked over to his desk and answered the phone call. "Hello. Okay, I'm going to my practice soon. Yes, Doctor Anna is with me. Ohh ... I'll pass it on to Doctor Anna," John answered and then hung up the phone back on the table. He looked at Anna as he walked over to the girl.

"So the emergency patients need your help as soon as possible, Anna. I'll look for you during lunch break when you're free, okay?" said John patting the back of Anna's hand in his.

"Okay. I'm going down now, John. Time is life, you know that," said Anna hastily and left John's office.

She went down to the 1st floor where the Emergency Room was located. The nurse on duty ER handed the patient status data file into Anna's hands.

"Doc, the patient's condition is still conscious, but the bleeding is quite heavy on the back. He is an artist, a stage spotlight fell on him from above on his back and tore his skin quite deeply," said Nurse Belina informing the incident that caused the accident that happened to the emergency patient.

Anna's eyes widened in surprise when she read the name of the patient she had to operate on this morning, Jason Channing. "Where is this patient?" asked Anna frantically.

"In room 3, Doc," said Nurse Belina.

Immediately Anna rushed to the 3rd Emergency Room. She also saw JC lying on his stomach with his back bleeding. The white shirt he was wearing had already partially turned a deep red color. "Jason, why did you visit me here this morning?" Anna joked in a satirical tone.

JC couldn't turn around, but he knew it was Annastacia's voice. Of course, they met because of Anna, the surgeon at the city's number one hospital. "This was purely an accident, not because I missed you and then hurt myself, Anna," JC replied jokingly too.

"Haha... you're ridiculous, Jason. Okay, I'll stitch you up soon. Be prepared Jason because it doesn't feel good. See you in the operating room," Anna said then left the 3rd ER cubicle to prepare for her first surgery this morning. As usual, the OK room is always cold, Anna is ready with her standard operating clothes in sterile condition ready to lead the operation. The patient was face down under general anesthesia, Annastacia cleaned the scratch on JC's back which was still dirty with NS fluid, she used surgical glasses to see glass shards and dirt still stuck between the injured skin and muscle. Anna took it with tweezers, she had to be careful so that after sewing it didn't cause infection. After making sure that the wound on JC's back was clean, then Anna stitched the torn muscle and the skin on the outside very neatly. She hoped that after the wound healed, there would be no scarring. She understands that JC is a famous artist, and on certain occasions, he must take pictures of himself without clothes. Later she will prescribe anti-keloid ointment so that JC's skin on the back can be smooth again.

"Done. Please keep an eye on the patient and report progress to me. Anyways, tell the manager, for the time being, the patient should not receive visits from his colleagues or friends, for a week... take note of that! Don't move much and should stay asleep on his stomach until the stitches close completely if the patient wants the wound to heal without a scar," Annastacia ordered in detail.

She felt her job for JC was perfect, sometimes post-operative care messed up the perfect outcome on the operating table.

"Okay, Doctor Annastacia. We will inform the manager Mr. Jason Channing immediately," replied Nurse Amanda Thompson.

She cleaned up the dirty medical equipment to be cleaned and sterilized later. Annastacia nodded her head and then left the OK room. She wanted to see her next schedule in the Emergency Room. "Nurse Belina, are there still patients who need surgery?" Annastacia asked the emergency nurse on duty.

"We don't have one yet, Doc. If there is more, I will contact you immediately," answered Nurse Belina.

Meanwhile, from the ER entrance, Doctor John entered and approached Annastacia. "Honey, it's time for a lunch break. Let me accompany you to the cafeteria," said John beside Anna.

Anna looked at John and then replied, "Okay, come on."

John's hands wrapped around Anna's shoulders as they walked towards the elevator to go up to the 5th floor, where the hospital cafeteria was located. Meanwhile, Anna felt anxious waiting for news from the nurse in charge of taking care of JC. The man would be in pain when the painkiller wore off.
