BOOK7 Chapter3

He snapped, "What do you mean?"

I pointed to his clothes, frowning in annoyance. "They smell."

His face darkened as he lowered his head to sniff his shirt.

The scent of perfume was unmistakable.

Embarrassed and furious, he yelled at me, "What are you trying to pull? It's just a stupid birthday! How dare you give me attitude?"

"Who do you think you are? You're just a washed-up housewife. Do you really think you have the right to be mad at me over Ava?"

"You're nothing but a jealous witch, spreading filthy rumors about a young girl. It's disgusting! Are you even a woman? You're a disgrace!"

"I should've never let you out of the house. You've made me the laughingstock of the entire company!"

In the past, he'd said harsh things during our fights, but today, his words cut

I let out a cold laugh. If he really wanted to take me, he would have done so already.

He had used my pregnancy as an excuse to keep me away from the company.

He even reassigned my assistant, replacing her with Ava. Before she left, my

assistant warned me to be careful of Ava.

It wasn't until later that I found out Ava was the mistress Lucas had smuggled into the company under the guise of work!

She would often call him in the middle of the night with various excuses, pulling

him away from me.

Whenever I asked about it, Lucas would either yell at me in frustration or lie to

me without a second thought.

But each time he came home, he would apologize and promise not to do it again,

I let out a bitter laugh. Just as I was about to stand up, a sharp pain shot through my lower abdomen, and I felt a warm, wet sensation slowly spreading. BOOK Chapter
