Fall For “My Husband’s Uncle” By Janet Macadam -
Chapter 64
Chapter 64
Unfortunately, the man with tattoo didn’t know that the security guards hiding in the dark were extremely merciless and
cruel.
He often relied on his strength to bully the weak. But today, he was taught a hard lesson.
Carlos didn’t care about what happened next at all. He didn’t even look at them before striding away indifferently.
Sam immediately followed and reminded him, “Mr. Lawson, Ms. White has been alone behind the security door for a long time. Do you want to take a look?”
This made Carlos more upset.
Edith shed tears sadly for another man instead of him. Carlos felt very dissatisfied.
“No!”
He refused in a cold tone and left directly.
However, when he passed by the security door, he paused for a moment, which was noticed by Sam.
Once a man’s mind was occupied by a woman, it would be impossible for him not to care about her!
Edith was lucky. Carlos had a good impression of her, and after knowing that she was his wife, he naturally paid more attention to her. Over time, she… had a place in his heart.
Love would become deeper as time went by. Sam hoped that Carlos could leave the past behind and start his own life.
Edith stayed alone in the narrow passageway behind the security door, enveloped in darkness. She and Johann had been in love for so long, so they would inevitably think of each other sometimes. Although she had given him up completely, she couldn’t hide the pain in her heart..
The more sorrowful they were, the sweeter they were when they loved each other.
But it was a pity that it was all in the past and there would be no going back.
Edith hid here because her mother once told her that if she told all her sufferings to the tree hole, it would share her pain.
The tree was generous and would turn sadness into joy.
After Edith’s parents passed away, she moved away with Glenn. She could no longer replace a tree hole and gradually became used to staying alone in a small, dark place.
She liked empty underground warehouses, deserted school infirmaries, and the corridors of tall buildings.
Because there were almost no people in those places, and she didn’t have to worry about being overheard, which gave her a sense of security.
It worked a lot, just like getting a shot or taking medicine.
Edith had been squatting for too long and couldn’t feel her legs. She took a deep breath and stood up, saying word by word to the dark corner seriously, “Johann, this is the last time I cried for you. From now on, we will just be strangers!
“I wish you happy forever. This is the only blessing I could give you.”
She couldn’t help but add.

Chapter 64
After all, she had loved him so much. Even though they separated, she still hoped that he could live a happy life without
worries.
As for herself…
She would rely on her own efforts to live the life she wanted!
Edith opened the door and went out. The sea breeze brushed her face and she could hear the sound of the waves, which were like a symphony.
The bright moon was reflected in the sea, looking like a painting.
There were so many beautiful scenes in the world for her to appreciate and clothes for her to design. She couldn’t waste time on a man anymore.
Edith stretched and felt at ease. After all, Johann had been a load on her mind. Once she stopped thinking about him, she
would feel much relaxed.
She adjusted her mood and returned to the cabin to look for Carlos.
He was still sitting in that corner and was about to finish the wine. Now with no girls around him, he looked aloof and
detached.
The moment Edith saw him, a strange thought came to her mind.
“If only Uncle had stood up for me just now! In that case, I wouldn’t get entangled with Johann.”
But she immediately got the thought out of her mind.
It was inappropriate for her to expect her uncle to save her!
Otherwise, it would be against ethics.
Just as Edith’s mind was wandering, Carlos lost his patience and said coldly. “Are your legs broken? Can’t you walk? Hurry up and come here!”
Hearing this, Edith wondered if she did something wrong to annoy him.
She felt a little confused.
