Falling For My Playboy Boss -
Chapter 95
Cora's
POV
The event location was beautiful, as I knew it would be. Eric and Franco were getting our hair and makeup ready for the wedding, and our dresses were beautiful. Ella's dress was stunning, hanging on the door behind us as they guys got us ready for the wedding. The bridesmaids' dresses and my maid of honor dress were all one-shouldered Grecian-type dresses with a high waistline, right under our breasts, in a beautiful blush color, my baby bump was hidden by the flowing folds of the dress, and until I turned to the side, you didn't even realize that I was pregnant. The blush color looked gorgeous on all of us, and Eric told us that both his and Franco's ties and pocket squares were both the same blush color on their tuxes. They were both handsome men, so I knew that they would look good up there with us. Eric will be escorting Iris back up the aisle and Franco will be escorting me back up the aisle, as he is the best man, and I am the maid-of-honor. Mateo's brothers will escort Livi and Ava back up the aisle. Franco did our hair up and with curls dripping down one shoulder, on the side of the dress with the strap, so the bare side was completely showing. Ella is super excited and not scared or nervous at all. She is ready to go right now, and she doesn't even have her hair done yet. Mateo and Ella designed her dress, and I am sure the Grecian-style dress with the flowing skirts played a big part in it as the flowy, delicate, material hides our baby bumps very well and everyone looked stunning in their dresses when we had our fitting last Sunday. My bruise had gone away from where I was hit with the metal cup, but even if it hadn't healed, it was on the side of the shoulder strap, and Eric could have covered anything not hidden by the strap with makeup.
Time went by quickly and it seemed like 5 minutes later we were all lined up, with the flower girl at the head of the line to throw her flower petals down on the path for Ella. She is precious, and she was told to head for her father when she was done. Mateo is her uncle, and his brothers are standing with him, so she will stand at the groom's side in front of her dad for the wedding. I hope she doesn't get bored or go to her mom, as her dad will be escorting Livi back up the aisle on one of his elbows, and his daughter's hand in his hand. It will be a precious moment and I hope the photographer captures it. The music starts and the door opens to allow the flower girl out and starts down the aisle. One by one, our group got smaller and smaller until it is now just me and Ella. She gave me a hug and said, "If it weren't for you, I could have lost out on the love of my life. Mateo and I are so thankful for you giving us that "push" that we needed to date. We love you, Cora". Her father squeezed my shoulder and smiled at me. "Don't make me cry, Eric will kill me if I ruin his hard work. I am so happy for you both. I love you and Mateo too", I said as the doors opened up for me to exit. I took a deep breath, fanned my face quickly, and headed out. I smiled as I headed down the aisle looking up at Mateo and the guys all standing at the altar and smiling back at me. The little flower girl standing in front of her daddy smiling proudly over at her mom. I glanced over at the girls lined up at the bride's side and they were all beaming too. I take my place next to where Ella is coming and turn to watch Mateo when he sees Ella in her dress. Both of the doors open at the same time and there she is looking absolutely stunning framed in the archway. Her hair is up with delicate rings of curls falling down towards her bare shoulders. She had lace covering the sweetheart neckline on her dress and running down her arms from her upper arms to her wrists. The lace covered the skirt and ran down to the floor and, with the empire waist, her baby bump was completely covered. The lace was duplicated in her veil, and she had a short veil covering her face. The long train was running about 4 feet past the back of her dress. Ella looked like a real-life princess in her dress, and she was absolutely stunning. Mateo had teared up as soon as he saw her, and I saw his smile take over his whole face as she started down the aisle. When she got to the bottom of the steps, Mateo went down to get her before the priest even asked, "who gives this woman to be married today?". There were a few light laughs and many smiles to see how excited Mateo was about marrying Ella. Her father smiled at Mateo and answered "Her mother and I do" before handing off Ella's hand to Mateo and Mateo guiding her back up the altar steps.
It was a beautiful ceremony and the love they had for each other was truly evident to all present at the wedding. I had to fight off tears on several occasions and started to look out into the crowd to try to keep from crying. I saw Jacob in one of the pews and he looked very handsome in his suit. His focus isn't on the couple getting married though. He was gazing intently at Ava, who was looking at Mateo and Ella with a smile on her face. Ava is always beautiful, even with a bare face, as that is how we usually both are, but she is gorgeous today in that dress and her makeup. I can tell Jacob is absolutely smitten with her, and that makes me happy. I want all my friends to be happy. I think of Collin, and I lose some of my smile. I really don't know what is going to happen between me and Collin. I only know if he breaks my heart again, no matter how much I love him, and him being the babies' father, I will have to let him go. It would be the only way for me to protect my heart. I see Nicolas looking drop-dead handsome in one of the pews and Dalton sitting beside him looking utterly handsome too, and I wonder what they are doing here? I tried to do an inconspicuous turn to look at Livi and Iris, and see Iris giving Dalton a huge smile, and now I am beaming again. Livi and Nicolas, and Dalton and Iris are going to be such great couples. I hope I get to sit with them at the table. I don't know who the 8th person at the table will be for our table, but I will be sitting with my fellow bridesmaids. Mateo and Ella have their own table to sit at together. I think that is a great idea because you don't get much time alone at your wedding.
I go back to watching Mateo and Ella and the wedding is over a short time later. I wait for my cue to go to Franco and take his arm, and I am glad for his strength as my legs are tired from standing still for 40 minutes. Mateo is Catholic and had the ceremony at his church, which we all thought was beautiful. Franco guided me to the foyer with the rest of the party and we all turned to watch Mateo escort Ella back up the aisle. As soon as they are with us, we all head outside to take pictures. That took about an hour as the photographer and videographer captured their memories with all of us. By the time we were done, I had to go use the bathroom, as the babies liked to take up shop on my bladder most days. I head back up to go back to the foyer when my wrist is grabbed, and I am turned around. I looked up startled and saw Collin standing there grinning at me.
"Nicolas let me know when the wedding was complete, so I came to be your plus one for the wedding. I had told Mateo two weeks ago, so let's go get my babies some food, okay gorgeous", Collins tells me before planting a kiss on my still opened lips. I smiled into the kiss and returned his heated kiss with some heat of my own. I am so happy. I miss him all the time, and I really hope from the bottom of my heart that we will work out together in the end. Collin leads me to the table where the rest of the bridal party is sitting, and we take out seats.
I have a great time with our group; eating, dancing, congratulating the bride and groom and sneaking off occasionally to grab a quick kiss. I don't think I have been to a more fun wedding than this and I started to think of what my own wedding would be like. Collin stays for 3 hours with me, before he has to leave. Maddie had gone out shopping, so he left to come to spend time with me. I walked him outside and gave him a kiss goodbye.
"I love you, and I will see you soon, Cora. Take care of yourself and our babies", Colling tells me and gives me another kiss, before rubbing my stomach with his big hand. I felt a kick right where his hand was lying, and we both looked at each other in amazement. It is like the babies recognize and responded to his voice. I start to tear up as this is really an emotional moment and dab my eyes, so I don't mess up my makeup.
"Don't cry, baby. I love you and this will all be over soon and then we can have our own wedding. So don't think about Maddie, think about what you would like our wedding to look like and I will make it happen. Please don't be sad, it breaks my heart to see you so unhappy. I will fix this. I love you and the babies so much. I have to go. I will see you soon, Cora". Collin gives me another kiss and heads to his car to go back to his apartment. I watch until his car is gone and head back inside. I hope he is right, and we can get married and have the life together that I want so badly for all of us. I head back to our table, and they all know that I am missing him so much. It is hard on me each time, as I am so happy when I am with him and then have to tamper down with my emotions because I am sad and slightly depressed when he is gone, and I know that I won't see him for a while. It takes a toll on me, and I just need to hold my head up and deal with it. I have two babies on the way that are depending on me, and I need to make sure that I put them first. No matter what happens, I will make sure that my babies are loved and cared for, even if they are just depending on me, my family, and my friends.
