The entire barracks went silent momentarily, but the sound of cheers came right after.

To the members of the alliance, the presence of one leader will empower them as they go on adangerous mission.

Idris was calm but his eyes looked at me with appreciation. However, Caleb still had a frozen look onhis face.

As for me, his attitude isn't something I mind, unless provokes me by making a move on Chloe.

As for his loyalty, I know that he wouldn't betray the alliance so I left it like that.

Having announced my decision I left the briefing on Caleb and Idris, letting them know that while Isaid that I will join the expedition, it will not cause a change on the plans the two have already set."Tonight, we will set off to the target alliance that we have on our list..." It was Caleb who did thehonors in introducing the target to everyone.

"...Living on the far west from the Blood Hound Pack, the Rain Valley Pack is the last pack that wehave to take on for the second phase of our plan”

"After taking them out, we will start preparing to take on the major packs allied to our Archenemy, the Blood Hound Pack."

Then it was Idris's turn to takeover as he continued Caleb's explanation,

"With that we shall do our best to come back without casualties as the next battle after this will bemore crucial. When you can protect your comrades the best way you can. Survive, by all means!Everyone of us is needed so that we will have a higher chance to succeed in the next battles ahead!"The barracks roared in a battle cry as they answered in acknowledgement.

Their weapons were sharpened. Their clothes were ready. All of their provisions were already packedand everyone was already aware of their positions and assignments.

With everything ready we headed off to go westward and wait there until the right opportunity toattack comes.

I looked back at the hideout and paused. Unable to say goodbye to Chloe, I clenched my fist andpromised myself to come back safe and sound so she won't worry.

Even with our full speed, traveling in a large group is quite a challenge. Especially when we wantedto go unnoticed until the set time to attack had arrived.

We traveled for three days and two nights finally arriving at a lush green valley were rain constantlypoured.

It was indeed as the name suggested, the Rain Valley.

Hiding behind the verdant forest while our eyes were set at the cloudy distance where the target'spack house was located, Caleb and Idris signaled everyone to go to their positions and lie in wait. Then the scout team was summoned as they had to check the situation one last time to ensure thatnothing would go awry.

Just as the men were about to report to Idris and Caleb, I waved my hand and told them, "There'sno need to... just focus on preparing for the upcoming fight. I'll go around and check.”

Caleb looked like he was about to protest but Idris beat him to it as he said, "Take care Alpha!"

At his words I flashed at the nearest cliff and used Eron's power to detect the nearest presencewithin a certain radius.

"All clear...” The wind blew harshly on my body but it didn't stop me from moving forward and keepspying.

The sentries were still positioned according to Caleb and Idris's expectations but the challengingthing was the constant rain.

It makes our innate advantage to using airborne poison pretty useless and we could only use moredirect ways to use poison such as infusing it to our own weapons.

That is also why Caleb and Idris's teams had to merge just to carry out this mission, for it is achallenging one.

Even so, if this mission failed then it will be harder to even attempt to subdue Alpha Kain's men atthis point.

After ensuring that everything is normal and within expectations, I came back to the group and toldthem what I saw.

I asked them one last time if everyone was fully aware that they have to fight without relying on theaid of the airborne poison. Though they acknowledged by saying yes, my heart sank when I saw thehesitant look on their faces.

It seems that we have overlooked a fatal point during the joint training and failed to instill to thewarriors that they cannot always rely on mass poisoning to gain advantage.

"What does the somber look on your face mean?" With a frown I looked at the warriors and saidwith a heavy tone.

"While I do not blame those from the Red Moon Pack as their style of fighting incorporates usage ofpoison, why do the warriors under me also lack confidence? This can't be! Have you forgotten howthe Frost Fang Pack used to fight?"

"I'll give you an hour to adjust to your mentality and prepare well! We cannot afford deaths justbecause you let your guards down!"
