With that everyone took their own places and readjusted.

After that, I called for Idriss and Caleb to assemble them after an hour to check of theirtemperaments.

Even as the temporary alpha of this team, I could feel the state of their being just by looking at theircountenance.

While it seemed like everything was according to Caleb and Idris’s plans by far, we cannot let ourguards down and cause a fatal error to the mission.

To my relief, all seemed to come back to their peak state when they regrouped after an hour. Goingwith it was the night finally ripening even as the rain continued to fall unceasingly.

As the heavy droplets of water poured down endlessly on the valley the forest became pitch blackand the ground became muddier the longer we traversed in it.

There's no other silence but the incessant rain and there's no other obstacle but the cruel terrain.Even so all of us silently pressed forward having to come here with a mission at hand.

Soon the first teams reached to the point where the sentries’ route commenced and they all set outto take them out.

In just a few minutes, the muddy water flowing in the ground now had traces of blood in it.

“Let's move... take advantage that the scent of blood will not travel fast because of the rain... butbeware... they might have other means to detect intrusion such as this. Be highly vigilant!” Icommanded through mindlink as each of the set teams went on their positions to surround thepremises of the territory.

After a few minutes the teams have already reported their successful approach, enabling us toproceed with the next step of operations, to take out all the watch keepers and the second batch ofsentries.

"Blake... I sense several movements coming from outside the pack’s village.” Suddenly, Eron’s urgentwarning reached my mind.

“They have already noticed this early?” I uttered in surprise.

Even so I immediately let everyone know so that they could prepare to engage in a battle.Coincidentally, in my position, Caleb's party was the nearest troop and in our area we saw a largegroup of warriors rushing to us with bloodshot eyes.

Having sensed them ahead of time, I managed to signal the team to replace a place to hide andminimize exposure prior to attacking swiftly.

“It's here over here... I sensed the sentries' life line cutting off!!” One of the warriors pointed towardwhere we killed the sentries and cried out.

“Lifeline? I see...” Just as I was wondering how they were able to detect our killing, it seemed like theRain Valley pack is gifted to have the power of interconnected souls which made it easier for themto know each of their pack member's whereabouts.

It is no wonder, they were not really replaceing it hard and dangerous to live in such a territory wheretheir sense of smell were impaired greatly because of the rain.

They continued to approach out direction, because unfortunately several meters behind us wherethe two corpses lay dead on the ground.

“Let's attack on my cue...” Caleb watched carefully and announced after determining that they willdiscover our presence either way.

But after he sent this message through the mindlink, his face froze and looked at me for a second,as if admitting his fault for not waiting for me to say the command.

“No worries, do as you planned.” I gave him a signal and did not mind. After all, we weren't enemiesat the moment. We are part of one time and he is now part of my people.

Having received my instructions, he nodded and now confidently ordered, “Go!”

In an instant, they flashed behind and around the group of elite warriors and attacked withoutwasting a single breath.

Our team specialized in assasination for this matter and the men had trained to specifically developtechniques that will not point to the Frost Fang Pack’s assassination technique for as long as “AlphaSabre’ holds the position inside the Blood Hound Territory as our spy.

“Graaaah!!"

The warriors caught unprepared, tried to defend themselves with their might, however, with theadvantage of surprise, Caleb and his men successfully dealt with them all.

It only took them a few breaths to take them out and so, another team from the enemy has beenwiped out silently.

As we advanced forward, the other teams have also started to engaged in a fight, and because ofdiscovering the fact that the River Valley Pack can sense each other's life line I released an order,“Inform me once you sighted the Alpha coming your way, do your best to hold and survive untilone of us comes to your rescue!”

With the innate advantage of the enemy to sense each other's location, tables have now turned intoan unpredictable momentum.

Our position was stuck outside the enemy village as more and more warriors came out to fight usfiercely.

No longer having the advantage of surprise, our side had to fight head on. Even more pressing wasthe fact that the Alpha might appear anywhere other than the points where we initially determinedand planned.

Roars and the sound of fighting overwhelmed the heavy rains and blood started to flow.

“Team B! Don't scatter! They'll only kill you with their numbers!” Caleb's hoarse voice commanded.Idris was also giving reports on his side as we fought.

The endless emergence of the enemy made everyone feel that this battle was indeed a hard one forthe enemy pack is close enough to become one of Blood Hound's major army.

I looked around and saw Caleb and his team showing signs of fatigue as they fought countless men.My heart sank at the realization that we may have underestimated how big of a loss itt was to haveour advantage in using airborne poison be taken away by the batttlefield's climate.

In the end, the only thing that could turn this unfavorable battle around was to replace the alpha andtake him out!

But just as I was about to give an order to replace him, I could hear several cries of panic on Caleb'sside.

"Watch out, team leader!” They all screamed at the top of their lungs.

Only then did I see someone as large as a bear approaching fast on Caleb's blind spot. Judging bythe speed of his attack, Caleb might have a chance to defend on it but he would surely take aserious damage enough to render him immobile for the rest of the fight!
