Chapter 112 The Scarred Man
“This was given to me by my grandfather,” Camila said truthfully.
“Hmph, you’re lying. How could Grandpa give you such an important card?” Svetla persisted. She said, “I think you stole
it.”
Camila’s eyes were slightly red. She pursed her lips and remained silent.
“Why aren’t you speaking?” Maxwell’s face clearly showed
anger.
“What do you want me to say?” Maxwell looked at Maxwell disappointedly and said, “If you don’t believe me, does it matter how much I say?”
“How can I believe you if you don’t explain?” Maxwell’s face became even more unpleasant.
“I said it was given to me by my grandfather, what else do you want me to explain?” Camila stepped back two steps and said, “You have never believed me, have you?”
“Why did Grandpa give you this card?” Maxwell’s voice was as cold as ice.
“I didn’t know,” Camila replied with a heartache.
“Did you transfer two hundred thousand into Hudson’s card from this card?”

“Did you investigate me?” Camila said angrily.
“If you didn’t do anything that you can’t show me, what are you afraid I will replace out?”
“Maxwell, have you always been on guard against me?”
“What do you think?” Maxwell’s cold expression stung Camila’s eyes.
“Okay, fine, I was really foolish, foolish to…” Camila couldn’t continue speaking. At this point, it was pointless to say more.
She turned around and entered the house, dragging the luggage out.
Maxwell did not stop her. He was probably extremely disappointed in her. He just coldly watched her drag her luggage out of the Starling family’s gate.
“Maxwell, why don’t you replace some time to finalize the divorce proceedings between the two of you? I’m afraid she might cause trouble again.”
“I have been very busy lately. We’ll talk about this later,” Maxwell said as he walked into his house.
Svetla was about to follow inside, but she realized that Maxwell had locked the door.
Looking at the empty room after Camila left, Maxwell’s mood plummeted.
He sat in front of the dressing table where Camila often sat, pulled open the drawer, and saw that the ring he had given her was still lying inside.

Maxwell took out the ring and threw it into the nearby trash
bin.
Then he took his coat and left the house.
He drove to a secluded bar. The bar’s landlady was in her thirties, with delicate features, elegant temperament, and exuded classical beauty.
The guests all called her Molly.
Maxwell was a regular here. Molly Clark noticed that he was in a bad mood, so she didn’t ask anything and poured him a glass of wine directly.
Not long after, Pawel arrived.
“Maxwell, did you look for me?”
“Does Jeff have any news?” Maxwell asked.
“I heard he appeared at the border over there in Yunnan,”
Pawel said.
Maxwell took a sip of wine.
“What’s going on with Alan?”
“He didn’t have it. However, Ms. Felton has been in close contact with Peter recently. She probably wants to get the piece of land from Alan through him.”
Maxwell’s gaze lowered.
“That piece of land must be taken down at all costs.”

resort on that piece of land. However, after Starling Realty. was embezzled by Jeff for three billion, the land had to be mortgaged. Later, when the company declared bankruptcy, the land was auctioned off to Alan.
So, after Maxwell took over Starling Realty, the first thing he wanted to do was to reclaim that piece of land.
Pawel felt that this matter was a bit difficult.
Everyone knew that Alan was a loner, with a peculiar personality and no shortage of money. However, the Conner family had one common characteristic, which was a special emphasis on family ties.
If Peter had intervened, there was a chance that Alan could have sold the land to Felton Realty
“Maxwell, I heard that Felton Realty has almost finalized the acquisition of Glory Gaming. Shouldn’t we do something. about it?”
Maxwell had been in a wait–and–see mode regarding Felton Realty’s acquisition of Glory Gaming. The reason for his hesitation was that it was not yet time to make a move.
He could never let Felton Realty succeed in the acquisition, but he couldn’t intervene either, so he had been unsure about how to handle the matter.
Camila returned to her house. She had just finished tidying up when she heard someone knocking on the door.
Camila became cautious and hid a fruit knife behind her back.

Who is it?”
“It was me, Alan.”
Upon hearing Alan’s voice, Camila finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She opened the door and Alan walked in.
“Your vigilance has increased a lot, worthy of praise,” Alan glanced at the fruit knife hidden behind Camila.
Camila awkwardly put the knife into the drawer.
“Why are you coming to see me so late? Is there something wrong?” Camila invited Alan into the living room and poured him a cup of coffee.
“Today, I wanted to ask you about the matter I mentioned to you last time. How have you been considering it?”
“What happened last time?”
“I just wanted to ask you to be my sister.”
“I think I overreached. It’s not quite appropriate,” Camila chuckled awkwardly.
“I really couldn’t do anything with you.”
Alan had just thought of lighting a cigarette when there was a knock on the door.
“Is Camila here?”
Camila recognized the sound and wondered how this person had arrived so quickly.

She quickly pulled Alan and made him hide in the bathroom, instructing him not to shout and not to come out.
Having everything arranged, Camila opened the door, and outside stood the scar–faced man.
“Do you have something to say?” Camila said irritably.
“I need to talk to you about something,” Scarface walked in and closed the door behind him.
“What do you want to talk about?” Camila looked at him warily.
“I heard that you have a signed agreement in your hands, signed by Mr. Davis. Can you show it to me?”
“I didn’t have any agreement as you said. You better leave.”
“No?” The scar–faced man kicked over the trash can. “Say ‘no‘ one more time and see what happens.”
“Then you make it clear, what kind of agreement is it exactly? Let me see if I have it.”‘
“It was a compensation agreement signed by Mr. Davis and your grandmother. The agreement stated that Mr. Davis would compensate your grandmother with 25 thousand dollars as a consolation payment. Do you remember now?”
“I seem to have some recollection.” In fact, Camila had heard her grandmother mention it before. That agreement has long been lost. Moreover, she heard her grandmother say that the agreement was typed and only had her grandmother’s signature, without Presley’s signature or official seal.
“Why don’t you go and get it for me?” the scar–faced man
said menacingly.
“What do you want that for? I still need that agreement to file a lawsuit,” Camila deliberately baited.
“Quit talking nonsense, do you take it or not?” Scarface man grabbed Camila by her hair as soon as he approached, causing her to almost scream in pain.
“You didn’t say who wanted that agreement. Even if you kill me, I won’t give it.”
“You bitch, I can tell you without hesitation. It was 8,000 dollars that made me retrieve that agreement. Let me tell you, if you dare to speak about this, I’ll make sure you end up in a wheelchair just like your brother.”
“My brother’s leg was indeed hit by you. You have committed numerous wrongdoings, aren’t you afraid of the police catching you?”
“I have been to prison before, so I’m not afraid of this turtle grandson. Hurry up, I don’t have that much patience,” Scarface said, pulling Camila’s hair and pushing her onto the sofa.
“Do you take it or not?” The scar–faced man pulled out a dagger and held it against Camila’s face. “If you don’t want to ruin your looks, quickly hand over the agreement!”
“Help, someone help!” Camila shouted.
“Bang!” The door of the bathroom was kicked open.
