"So what if Viviana knew it, Scarlett is not one of the Tank family! Would Viviana do anything to me for her? And we're just speaking of the truth. I meant well. I was not slandering Scarlett!" Jessie snapped. Then she glanced in the direction where Viviana and Scarlett had disappeared.

Although Jessie said so, she felt anxious.

She had been visiting Tank's house a lot over the years, and Viviana had treated her like her a family. Grandpa Tank had been nice to her, too. Her years of dedication would not be ruined because of Scarlett, right?

The more Jessie thought about it, the more anxious she became. Her mood for shopping was gone. She looked at Mia and Joan, "You guys go on shopping. I'm going home."

Scarlett didn't take the incident with

Jessie on her mind. She didn't care about Jessie's trick. It was so childish.

What made Scarlett feel more overwhelmed was that Viviana insisted on buying her a handbag.

"Is there anything you like? This one is good. It's new. The color is versatile, and the style is simple. You can carry it around with you."

Viviana used to buy bags like shopping groceries. After making her comment, she let the clerk take the bag over.

"Viviana, I have quite a lot of handbags." Scarlett smiled helplessly.

Viviana inclined her head to glance at Scarlett, "It's okay. You can give it to your friends after you get home."

Well, then Alexis would be thrilled.

Seeing Viviana indulge in the pleasure of buying her beautiful clothes and jewelry, Scarlett didn't refuse her anymore. The two went on shopping until 12:30. It was time for lunch. Finally, Viviana stopped shopping and found a restaurant. After making their orders, Viviana looked at Scarlett. "Don't mind what they just said. I'll talk to your grandfather about it" Scarlett curled up the corners of her lips and smiled at her, "What things?"

"You kind girl!"

After lunch, the two headed back to the Tank family villa.

At this hour, Grandpa Tank was taking a nap.

Scarlett was up early today. She also went to her bedroom and slept for an hour or so.

When she woke up, it was after 3 p.m. Scarlett washed her face with cool water. After refreshing herself, she planned to play chess with her grandfather, as she had promised him. Just as Scarlett walked downstairs, she saw her grandfather sitting in the living room with Viviana. Hearing footsteps, Grandpa Tank looked back at Scarlett," You're awake?" "Yes, Grandpa."

Seeing her come down, Viviana briefed the old man about what happened at the mall.

Scarlett was sitting by the old man's side. She had her usual smile on her face as if she was listening to someone else's story.

Grandpa looked at Scarlett with sympathy. After a while, his eyes darkened. "Jessie has her own parents. She shouldn't come to our house so often. Tell her not to bother. If it's nothing important, don't come to our house, lest people may gossip about it."

Grandpa Tank meant pretty close to what Viviana thought. They both knew what Jessica was up to. They used to think she was just a little girl. It wasn't a big deal for her to come over and get a little benefit.

But now, Jessie had intended on Scarlett. And she crossed the line.

Scarlett was Grandpa Tank's granddaughter. She was the apple of the eye of the old man. Jessie wanted to set Scarlett up. Did she think they were all old and stupid?
